Hi darlo.
Cheryl's got the face, but Alesha has got the legs.
Merry Christmas to you too.
I
did manage to get the papers, but only after brushing and scraping a lot of snow and ice off my van (thought it would be safer than the Jag), and I had to go very slowly on the road to the village, because it hadn't been gritted apart from a thin strip in the centre of the road.
It was lovely and sunny here today though, so a little of the snow melted, but we've still got a covering over everything, and there's still snow on the hedgetops and the tops of bushes.
I may have to send away for the code then Hicky, but I'm sure my Dad must have written it somewhere, although he bought the car second hand, so he may never have had it?
I bought CDs for the kids this year Mollie.
I just get what I'm told to really.
When the kids were young I had visions of being the Uncle who bought them all the 'real' toys; wooden boats etc; but reality hasn't turned out quite like that.
They have so much already, that the chances are, if I bought them something on my own initiative, then they would already have it.
Also presents have to be approved by the parents.
A few years ago I bought what I thought would be a great educational toy for my nephew. It was a kit to culture and grow a type of shrimp.
You built an enclosure, and seeded it with eggs, and observed the shrimp like creatures go through various stages of development.
However it didn't meet with parental approval
at all.
Seemingly it would be too messy and require constant parental supervision?
On Christmas Day they allowed him to build and decorate the enclosure, but then it was put away till the Spring cos the instructions said that was the
best time (although you could actually do it at any time)
I was actually told never to mention it to him because they were hoping he would just forget about it (and he did).
Still rankles to this day. Don't know if you could tell?
Now I just get what I'm told to.
It'll soon be the time where they just want money anyway.
