I see what you mean, the bike needs looking after I suppose or it would probably cease up.
That's another point if you can't ride it, I suppose it may as well go a good home.
I passed my M/Cycle test in 1954 but gave up riding them in 1959 as it was far to dangerous for them to be on the roads.
Even more so now.

Heart condition killed Bill Roache's wife
November 24, 2009
THE wife of Coronation Street star Bill Roache died of natural causes as a result of a heart condition, a coroner's office has said.
Sara Roache, 58, died at the couple's home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, last February.
Her 77-year-old husband has played Ken Barlow in the ITV1 soap since its first episode in December 1960.
The couple, who were described as inseparable, had been married for 30 years and had two grown-up children.
A spokeswoman for Cheshire Coroner's office said an inquest into the death was held on November 5. She said the coroner heard the cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia and recorded a verdict of natural causes.
According to the charity Arrhythmia Alliance, the condition causes the heart to beat either too fast or too slow. The organisation said it affects about two million people in the UK.
Actress Mrs Roache was a well known charity fundraiser and dedicated her time and effort to many good causes.
Following her death Mr Roache paid an emotional tribute to his ``perfect wife'' at a packed memorial service attended by family and friends, including a host of Coronation Street stars.
He recalled meeting the "beautiful, vibrant girl'' 35 years ago, saying she became a perfect wife and mother to their children Verity and Will.
X FACTOR judge Dannii Minogue and her last remaining act Stacey Solomon may be getting their shows mixed up - as they seem to be trying out for Dancing on Ice.
Aussie star Dannii, 38, got in an early festive mood by taking 20-year-old Stacey for a spin round a seasonal outdoor ice rink at Somerset House in central London.
The pair, snugly wrapped up in winter jackets and hats, got off to a shaky start but were soon looking chilled with their confident performance.

Hicky...gosh you were good resisting that B and Q burger van.
Thanks for the news items, I did wonder what caused Bill Roaches wife's death. I met Bill Roache when he came to our local theatre, seemed a really nice man.
What a lovely pic of Danni and Stacey. I never realised Danni was so small and I thought Stacey looks a lot taller me. and I am 5ft6ins. I think I may go iceskating this year at Cardiff winter wonderland, it looks such fun.
Emptybox..
Aaaww I bet that is sad for you selling your dad's bike, but it is the right thing for you to do,because it would be a shame to let it go rusty, and it is good that it is a friend interested in it.
if you are putting all the cash in the bank, you must make sure that there is never any more than £50,000 in any one of the same bank. But be very carefull, because, as you mention, many different names are the same bank....for example Abbey, Allied and Leicester, are all part of Santander bank, and Lloyds owns Cheletenham and Gloucester, and HBOs, so only have one £50,000 guarantee between them. And as you know, at the moment all banks are broke, lucky they have all our future tax money to keep them going ... for the moment at least...
Incase you haven't seen it already, this site gives you where to find the best interest rates, and about safety for savings.

Been out all day today at the home edders day. I couldnt' remember the Japanese words as well as the kids did though..., and I fogot my dance moves, luckily my 7 year old partner didn't though. Daughter doing really well with her guitar lessons.
I am watching "The Family"... what a great programme. I really like the mom on it, she is so funny. Any one else watching it?
Hi Hicky Danni's so small next to Stacey Hi Mollie Emptybox I just seem so busy just now.hope you're all well
GrannyG
I am well thanks, hope you are too.
Another very wet day, and very windy.
Think tomorrow might be better?
I know what you mean about the banks Mollie.
I've got quite a lot of money in Northern Rock, which has a 100% guarantee at the mo. But if it was ever sold, then it would go back to the £50,000 limit again.
I've looked at that Moneysavingexpert site before. It's very useful, but the site is a bit of a mess.
I haven't watched the last few of the family. I quite enjoyed the first couple of episodes, but it clashed with the Jungle.
About the Japanese words. Little kids always seem to learn easier than ..er...slightly bigger kids.
I've been watching the ITV2 program, it's the talk show about the Jungle which was off because of the football.I saw somewhere that Stacey was 5' 4", think Dannii is really Tiny then.
Then each have to sing 2 songs on Saturday, one of Stacey's is 'Big Girls don't Cry'.
Should be a good night.
I see Ali is injured now from SCD, she hasn't been able to walk or train, so it's not looking too good for her.
It was just the way she fell.
Glad your Daughter is coming on with her Guitar lessons.
I'm not watching the Family, can't change the station on the TV unless I go downstairs, which is a nuisance, but we can't use the 2 remote controls at the same time.

Hicky... was it a day off today? Did you get all those things fixed that were playing up ?
Oh yes Hicky... I remember you said you couldn't change channels without changing your OH's too. Shame that.
Tonight is the new series of Gaving and Stacey. I love that, it is filmed not far from here in Barry. I realy liked the other 2 series. So funny. But unfortuantely it is the same time as IAC, so i wil have to record.
Showery and dull day here today.
Gave the dog a bath, and part dried her with hair dryer, then later noticed she was shivering like mad. Surprising how little dogs soon get cold if they are not dried properly. She has long hair though, so it is hard to judge when she is properly dry.
Emptybox... yes Northern Rock is one of the "safe banks". We have an account with them too, but I read they are going to sell the good bits (the deposits) soon, and leave the tax payer with the rubbish debts bit, as usual. So I guess after that the only g'ment one will be nsi.
Did you get your gardens done today?
We are going up to Birmingham tommorrow to see my aunts, and visit the Sea Life centre, and Cadbury world. I hope we get some nice chocs there to try. We are using our Tesco vouchers to get into these places, which is good. So I wont be around till either late Saturday or Sunday.
I am hoping we get a dryish day on Friday so we can visit the German Christmas markets in Birmingham. I like Christmas markets.
I have now had 2 Christmas cards. It is time to start my own soon, especially the ones to Australia, else they wont get them on time.
Yep, I was off today, going in again on Monday.
I put a new 6 pin Yale lock barrel on the inner front door
It's been a lovely day her, had a good lie in, went up to see one of my Grand children.
Made a soup using a vegetable pack which is really for making a cottage pie, well thats what it said on the pack.
It was only £1, I simmered the lot for 20 minutes than added a little pepper and a little gravy granule to darken it and little corn flour to help thicken it.
I then put my little electric mixer thingy which turns it into soup.
It was lovely as well, I had just made the pint, which is plenty for 2.
I had a pack of Scallops, fried with a little butter and a sprinkle of pepper.
Hope you have a nice time at Cadbury World, they do a lovely range of Chocolate, think you can sample it all as well, take it easy, you can get addicted.
I must have a look and see how I can sort a visit out for me and my O/H.
The Jungle is on at 8.30 tonight as well.
Lovely day here, but cold.
I enjoyed Gavin and Stacey tonight as well.
That soup sounds good Hicky.
Wonder if my supermarket has anything similar? I haven't seen anything.
Enjoy your trip to Birmingham Mollie.
I think you're bound to get some samples at Cadbury World.
I think you've mentioned those German Christmas Markets before Mollie, but I can't remember what they are?
A bit chilly hear, not too bad though.
Had hail stones here this morning which has turned to rain.
For the soup you just need the mixed veg pack, it's pre-washed and cut up, usually carrot, onion, leak, swede, etc, about 300g will do a pint, just put 2 chicken cubes in a pint of boiling water, pour over the soup, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes or until the veg are soft enough, add 2 teaspoons of gravy granules, make up a table spoon of cornflour with a little water and add to the pan of veg, bring back to the boil.
Take of the heat and use your electric hand chopper to turn the veg into soup, bring back to a simmer and serve, makes 2 servings.
New twist in Corrie affair
Friday 27 November 2009 10:42AM
It's hard to imagine sweet Tyrone Dobbs hurting a fly, let alone a grown man.
But the mild-mannered mechanic, played by Alan Halsall, will reportedly dish out a savage beating to an unfortunate Weatherfield chap when he suspects wife Molly (Vicky Binns) of having an affair.
And the object of his rage? Not love rat Kevin Webster (Michael Le Vell), but local Lothario Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin), who on this occasion just happens to be innocent.
According to The Sun, Tyrone will be left devastated when Molly announces the end of their one-year marriage.
In the New Year, she'll apparently move out of their home without revealing her affair with Kevin.
So when Tyrone sees his wife taking her things to Dev's old flat, where she plans to stay for the time being, the bumbling mechanic will jump to the wrong conclusion and send Dev flying with a flurry of punches.
Kevin will witness the fights and drag Tyrone off Dev. What a gent!
The newspaper claims that Molly will leave her husband to try and entice her lover away from his wife Sally (Sally Whittaker), but with Sally battling breast cancer, Kevin will want the affair to come to an end.
Sounds like right old mess. Is everyone keeping up?
Coronation Street, Shameless and Spooks stars in lesbian drama at Birstall
Nov 27 2009 Huddersfield Daily Examiner
IT has already tasted TV stardom.
But now Oakwell Hall, at Birstall, is to again be at the centre of a major television production.
The Elizabethan manor house featured in the ITV production of Wuthering Heights, has been selected as a location for a star-studded period drama.
The BBC2 production – The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister, a scandalous lesbian love story – is to be filmed at Oakwell in the next few weeks.
Maxine Peake, star of Shameless and Criminal Justice, takes the lead role. She is joined by Dean Lennox Lewis, who played her on-screen husband in Shameless.
Also appearing will be Spooks star Gemma Jones and Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah Platt in Coronation Street.
The drama is based on the diaries of Anne Lister, who was born in 1791 and owned Shibden Hall in Halifax.
The diaries, containing up to around four million words, with a large section written in code, detail her life and love affairs with various women.
The 90-minute drama, being made by Oxford Film and Television, is expected to be broadcast in the spring.
It will be accompanied by a one-hour documentary, presented by the writer Sue Perkins, also a lesbian. The drama will tell the story of Anne Lister, the decoding of her diaries and the role of Halifax during the Industrial Revolution.
Filming is taking place at Shibden as well as at Oakwell. However, the size of Shibden’s rooms and building lay-out would make filming some of the internal scenes technically difficult.
The production team, some of whom were involved in Wuthering Heights, are therefore using Oakwell Hall for those scenes.
It means the hall will be closed to the public today and also from Sunday, November 29, to Friday, December 4.
The country park will remain open to visitors.
Quit filling really as you can put a lot of filling in.
Popped into CostCo this afternoon, was looking at their little Jellies and cakes, a bit too dear, we have to get enough for 40 children at some party at Sainsbury's Sunday.
Just happened to see a stall that had some lovely seafood.
Got 4 massive crabs legs, like the ones you see on the TV on the crab pot boats, they are about £5 each.
Also got 4 Skate wings, my O/H loves Skate, it's her favourite fish.
That's tea sorted anyway.
They are already cooked so I can eat straight away, you just cut though the legs and the joints and then cut lengthwise at each side of each leg.
You can then separate the halves and the meat comes out in a big piece, and you get plenty.
The quantity is easily equal to that which you would get from a Lobster for twice the price.
I like crab, but haven't had any for ages.
Did you say you were having a kids' party for 40?
How did you get roped into that?
Was another nice, mostly sunny, day here, but still cold.
Got a full day in. Well as full as you get at this time of year, when it get's dusky by 4pm.
Hope Mollie is having a nice German Christmas in Brum.
Have just checked one of the crabs legs.
It's 45cm long, 11cm around the widest part, and weighs in at 255g, with a thin soft shell.
Very easy to open and eat.
Not sure how we got roped in on this party, it was probably arranged by the store.
It's a Beautiful day here anyway, a little chilly, but the Sun is out.
Hope Mollie enjoyed her Cadbury trip and didn't eat all the Choccy.
Golfer TIGER WOODS has been left seriously injured following a Friday morning (27Nov09) car crash in Florida.
The 33 year old reportedly struck a fire hydrant after pulling out of his driveway in Isleworth - and then drove into a tree on a neighbour's lawn.
Woods was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee in a serious condition, according to Florida Highway Patrol reports. No other details have been released.
But hospital staff insisted Woods was no longer a patient there on Friday afternoon.
Reports suggest the accident is under investigation and charges are pending.
Was quite a nice day here.
Didn't do any work, but did some hoovering and went for my weekly shopping trip.
Watching the X-Factor.
Stacey was OK, but I think she might struggle this week, and might be in the bottom 2.
Lloyd's was by far the weakest performance, and deserves to go, but all the wee lassies are likely to keep him in.
I think Joe was the best this week.
Don't see the point in making the girls sing songs that are written for feller, it does my head in.
She has a better voice that all of them.
All the fellers had songs written for fellers though.
I don't think she has a problem myself.
There isn't a bottom 2 this week, no Judges decision at all.
The lowest vote count leaves tomorrow.
Joe was good, but I never vote for fellers.

A horrendous day here, weatherwise.
I had the guy here to look at my Dad's bike.
He didn't make an offer, but I think he's quite interested. He says he'll get back to me anyway.
It was raining, so we mostly looked at it in the garage, but luckily the rain eased just enough for us to wheel it outside for a few minutes to allow him a better look.
It started OK, but unfortunately we couldn't get the lights to work for some reason, but he didn't think it would be a major problem.
I was able to say that my Dad had it M.o.Td on the 1st of July, so the lights must have been working then.
The battery was probably flat, but he said the lights should still have worked on the magneto when the bike was running?
I couldn't help him much with such matters.
Anyway, I'm in no great rush to sell it, so it wouldn't matter too much if he didn't want it.
I'll have to remember to watch the X-Factor results this week.
Hope Mollie had a good few days in Brum.
That was the right result on the X-Factor.
The voters must have more sense than I thought?
Unless you know the real value of the Motorcycle then you won't know how good any offer is.
You should just say how much you want.
If you lower the price they want to know why it's cheap anyway.
X-Factor.
I am glad that Stacey is still in, think she has a good fan base really.
I'm working tomorrow.
Hope you had a good weekend Mollie.

Hicky... is it a work day today? Thanks for the Corrie news, and for telling us about your soup recipe. I will give that a try. I hate spending ages peeling enough veg to feed 5 people, so your method is a good idea.
Emptybox... I hear it is quite cold up there now, so don't forget your wooly hat when you are out gardening. My cousins had bought those hats with the ear flaps from the Chrsitmas markets, they said they are well warm. Hope you get a decent offer for the bike,
We had a lovely weekend away thanks. Visited my aunties and cousins, and we used our Tescos vouchers to visit the Sea Life. That was lovely, such unusual fish... seahorse, rare turtles etd. Then we went to Cadbury World early the next day. Thank goodness we went early, the queues to go in when we left were unbelievable. It takes a couple of hours to go round it, and it smells so strongly of choccy all the time. I ate too much choccy, of course. My fave choc there that they gave us was a cup of melted choccy with some wine gums in it. OH swopped me his buttons for my Curly Whirly, because I love buttons.
Emptybox....The German Christmas markets are little wooden hut stalls selling gifts and trinkets, food and mulled wine etc. They are so pretty with the Christmas lights on them, and loads of people were just standing around having a drink together. Our kids had German sausage hot dogs, and I had a stick of strawberries covered in Belgian melted choccy. Yummy. Luckily the weather was dry all day too.
We met up with my aunties and cousins in the pub in the evening.
My OH and our son heped sort my aunt set up a pc she had been given, so she was ready to go online.
And my mom enjoyed staying at our house looking after the pets.
Nice day so far here, Wonder if it is worth pegging my washing out in the sun today?
I think the right one went on X factor last night, He was lucky to stay as long as he did.
I don't think the standard was very high this week though. Most of them sounded out of tune. Maybe they are spending too much time on dance routines instead of trying to sing in tune? I too think Joe is the best singer left, but I hope Stacey makes the final, I wouldn't like a male only final. Not sure who I want to go next.
Glad your weekend went well, sounds brill with all that Choccy, like heaven, they say.
I keep meaning to go to Cadburys, I'll get there before long.
I thought LLoyd would go Sunday, he never seemed in tune to me anyway. glad Stacey got through, think there's only Joe that can beat her.
I'm not one for male singers anyway, much prefer the voice of a female singer anyday.
And I never vote for fellers.
I'm at work Mollie, been fairly busy as well, got most of the work out of the way now, so might get a bit of peace.
Corrie Joe dies in ‘canoe scam’
PILL-popper Joe McIntyre will be bumped off by Corrie bosses in a Canoe Man-style insurance scam that goes horribly wrong.
Joe plans to go missing on a boating holiday with fiancée Gail Platt - aping real-life John Darwin's fake death while out canoeing.
But unlike Darwin, who got away with the 2002 ruse before being rumbled and jailed last year, Joe - played by Reece Dinsdale, 50 - really does end up dead.
As he prepares to jump off his boat, a strong gust of wind blows its sail pole, which knocks him unconscious and into the freezing Lake District water.
Our source on the cobbles revealed: "It's a copycat storyline of Darwin's insurance scam.
"Corrie bosses have decided that Joe will meet a watery end.
"He decides to fake his own death to avoid his crippling debt problems and leave wife Gail with the proceeds from his life insurance."
The final straw for the prescription drug addict comes when debt collectors threaten to harm daughter Tina unless he comes up with thousands.
So Joe plans the Lake District break with Gail, played by Helen Worth, for the launch of their renovated sailing boat Gail Force.
In scenes to be screened in February, Joe bids a last farewell to Tina who, although she knows he is seriously in debt, has no idea she will never see her dad again.
After calling round to see her at the flat she shares with lover Jason Grimshaw, Joe says: "I've come to say goodbye.
"Gail and me are off to the Lakes sailing for a few days to clear our heads over this debt business."
And as Joe squeezes her for the last time, he adds: "I am going to really miss you, you know?
"I am so proud of how you've turned out. You're a better daughter than I ever deserved and I love you so much."
Tina makes light of her dad's sincerity, telling him: "Don't squeeze me so tight dad - you're only going for a few days."
But Joe will never come back, despite packing a survival bag with dry clothes, a map and compass.
Darwin, who wrote his memoirs in jail, told how he too nearly died after paddling out too far from the coast in vicious North Sea currents in 2002.
But he survived and went into hiding, while wife Anne reported him drowned in a canoe accident.
The couple fled to Panama. But Darwin reappeared in London in December 2007, claiming amnesia.
In July 2008, he was found guilty of the £250,000 insurance and pensions swindle.
Both he and Anne were jailed for more than six years.
Corrie bosses, inspired by the saga, decided to bump Joe off after Reece made up his mind to quit over fears he was being typecast.
Execs offered a pay rise to £130,000 from £100,000 - but he insisted on going.
Now, by ensuring Joe dies, bosses have slammed the door shut on any prospect of Reece returning.

He has booked 2 weeks in Hawaii over the Christmas period.
It's such a hard life for him over there.
I don't envy your lad in Oz Hicky.....not one little bit.
Sounds like you had a great trip Mollie.
Not like you to get stuck into the chocolate?
Was a lovely day here, but very cold. There was snow on the hilltops when I got up this morning.
Was on the computer for a while this morning , but got a hedge cut this afternoon, along with some other jobs.
I'm looking forward to Aisleyne's chat on here tomorrow night at 7pm.
She had thought that she had to postpone it, but it's back on again.
Good night on the telly tonight, with Life, IACGMOOH and Flashforward all on at the same time.
Hicky......Glad to hear you got all that work out of the way today. Thanks for the Corrie story. Sounds interesting, he isn't one of my fave characters, so I dont mind them bumping him off.
Glad to hear your lad is being kept busy in Oz.
I bet he will enjoy Hawii.
I didn't like Oz at Chrsitmas, because it wasn't like Christmas with no cold weather, dark nights or brussel sprouts.
Emptybox...
I bet the mountains look nice with the snow. I see on our news that there is snow over the mountains where my OH used to live in Snowdonia now. it has arrived quite early this year. Not that I beleive in man made global warming anyway.(even though we have been having some years of warming). Man made warming all being used as an excuse to tax us, imo. I see David Bellamy believes we are entering a period of cooling now. Wonder if he is right?
What a shame George left IAC, I really liked him.
As you say, we've certainly had a warmer period.
When i started gardening 15 or 16 years ago, we finished cutting grass at the begining of October. Now it's fully a month later. Also there are fewer frosty periods during the winter.
However I'm not convinced that it is all down to human activity, and certainly not all down to motor cars as the government would have you believe.
Yes there are more cars about, but they are much less polluting than before. Also our houses and industries belch out far less smoke nowadays, so you'd think things would be improving? Perhaps they are?
I'm just not sure what to believe really.
I'm all for saving energy. But mainly because the costs are escalating.
I think my Lad should have a good Christmas in Hawaii, anywhere really.
Not sure about all this global warming, but I suppose anything that goes into the air that isn't done by nature means something will suffer.
The same as if you alter the course of a river or stream or cut down jungles or forests, someone will suffer because it changes the world.
I found out what was wrong with my Oven, it's the switch on a socket behind the oven behind a drawer under the unit.
Had forgot that the oven has a 13 amp plug on it.
The switch has never been turned off but for some reason his stuck and won't turn on or off, will have to change the socket now.
So I still don't have the oven working.

Vicars & Liz: Mon Nov 30, 2009 Corrie Episode Review
Written by Julie Jones, directed by Alan Wareing.
Rosie's realizing quick that she needs to get her hands on some money - and quick. I suppose she figures what better way to do this thank to further milk the source you got your cash from last time. She haunts John at the cafe and tries to blackmail him into giving her fifty thousand pounds or else she'll tell everyone that he's assaulted her. John tries to call her bluff and tells her that this ends here, and to get out. Oh, and he calls her a little b*tch! Go John! Only, his victory is short-lived as Rosie leaves the shop with an evil grin yelling "Help, someone save me!" into the streets. Oh, John.
Molly and Kevin are still on board about going "out" with their relationship. Oh, bother, who cares.
Ken notices that Simon now has very expensive tastes, thanks to Granddad George and has asked for something far too expensive for Christmas. Ken, not wanting to be shown up, says he might be able to deliver. Later, we find that same Ken looking through the classifieds pondering whether or not a call center job would be a viable option. You'd think at Ken's age, he'd realize it's futile to try keeping up with the Jones'.
Claire manages to get Becky to invite her out for a night of drinking on the town. Becky throws down a few "warm-up" shots down Claire's gullet before the night starts. I wonder how this will end!
And finally, Theresa gets Lloyd to let her have a "Vicars and Liz"...err "Vicars and Tarts" party at the Rovers. Well, it seems that everyone took that quite literally, especially Graeme. Theresa came in with her best Liz impression, as did Graeme. Graeme walked in full out in leopard print, a big bra and a blond wig. Oh, and Liz's signature necklace drawn on his chest in what one could gather was either eyeliner or marker. Let's hope it was eyeliner, for his sake. Needless to say, Liz was not amused, and broke down in tears in the bar after calling Theresa pathetic. No amount of consoling could sooth her later. Oh, poor Liz, this really has gone too far.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Tyrone telling Molly he figured she might be a borderline feminist! Haha.
- Becky telling Roy that in order to feel happy, he's to put a smile on his face and that will send a message to his brain that he's happy. Wait...isn't it the other way around usually? Haha. Oh, and Roy's forced smile to follow.
- Claire trying to get Becky to invite her out drinking, then choking down those shots. Haha, I really enjoy Claire lately. If she is manic depressive, I'm loving this period of mania.
- Sally commenting that a Vicars and Tarts party sounds so 1980's. Haha, I was thinking the same thing.
- Graeme pointing out that he'd like to don a short skirt to show of his legs, since they're so nice he could advert tights. I love Graeme.
LOWLIGHTS:
- Molly and Kev meeting again, in their usual seedy motel room, and professing their love to one another. Also, then thinking they're really going ahead with outing their affair. Who are they kidding?
- Poor Ken feeling so undervalued since he doesn't have the dosh to match to Granddad George's wallet.
- Rosie wanting to go to school for medicine! Bahahaha.
- Rosie Webster trying to screw over John again. Exactly how many times does she think she can get away with this. I assume we'll have to see Sally on the war-path again?
- It was funny, but Theresa was really pushing her maturity level by poking fun at Liz again. Some people just don't know when enough, is enough.

Went out to get a new socket for the oven to get it working again, not sure how i'm going to fit it though, it's on the wall behind all the drawers under the oven.
Had to get a bit of paper signed by a friend, the little pension thingy people want it signed with further proof of identity of an account of sorts or a bill from the gas or water etc, you have to prove to them that you haven't died, you would think they would pop round and check wouldn't you.
I've got some stewing steak on the stove with veg and that in it, i'm making a caserole for tea, I got some soup veg packs while I was in Sainsbury's as well.
My O/H is getting to like these home made soups.
I decided not to go out, but did a bit of tidying in my own garden and the greenhouse.
These identity check things are a nuisance, aren't they Hicky.
I've been opening a few new accounts lately, and I always seem to have to give proof of identity.
I think it's because the electoral roll uses a different house number to everyone else (long story), so they can't check properly on-line.
It's not so bad if there is a local branch you can take your papers to, but if you've got to post them off, there's always the worry that they'll get lost.
Not sure what I'm having for supper yet?
