Evening all.
Hi Hicky, Mollie, GrannyG, Boldjohn, Marguerita.

It was a dry day here, so I got my work done, but the rain came on with the dark.
Don't think it's a particularly good forecast for the weekend.

I think the ground here is a bit mushy for digging yet John. A wee bit frost should dry it up a bit. Haven't got much to dig this year anyway.

It's a good job you get on with the littlies Hicky, cause you always seem to have one or two staying over.

Not sure wether to try to get a pair of 3d specs for the 3d week or not?
I've never had much luck with them in the past. I wear glasses, and my eyes are so different from each other (one's long sighted, the other short), that I don't have proper stereoscopic vision even when wearing glasses.
That means that when wearing the 3d specs I either see a red image or a blue image, but my eyes can't bring them together properly for a 3d image.

I remember being very disappointed as a child, and I couldn't see why others were getting excited about 3d.
I might give them another go though. They might work this time?

Hello Everyone. It's really windy here and it's raining, done all my homework so have the weekend to chill. Football is on later and SCD/XF. Hicky I have heard Stacey is doing Who Wants To Live Forever..
Hi Darlo.

Good on yer, it's great having the weekend to yourself.

I hope that song is ok for Stacey, it's not one that I recognise, i'll have to go and listen to the one on You tube and see if I know it.

Great news about the visit of Aisleyne to Live Cloud. I can't miss that. Hopefully others will follow. I'd also love to chat to Chanelle Hayes, Michelle Bass, Rachel Rice or Craig Phillips.

Nice to see you call in. Hope you are well. xx

I'd like to see Brian the early series winner of BB, because he made me laugh, or someone from Coronation street call in, or maybe Robbie Williams, or Peter Kay.

Good afternoon all

GrannyG... not a good day to go out today, like Hicky says, you will need your wellies today. Hope you enjoy yourself.

Hicky..
I think it is nice for you to have all the littlies round you, they certainly keep you busy, trying to think how to entertain them.  Is it the toy cars, or the drawing today?

Darloboy
Glad to hear you have all the work out of the way. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Are you watching the England match?  I am looking forward to X factor, I wonder if Lloyd can last another week?

Emptybox...
Glad to hear you had a good day to do your gardens yesterday.
Go on.. treat yourself to a pair of 3D glasses, you might have more luck with them now. I had to ask for mine from customer service desk in Sainsburys.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, despite the rain.
Even the dog didn't really want to go out today, we only had a short walk today.  We did go to Asda for our usual yummy brekkie today though.
Have you been out today Hicky?
M
Hi Mollie.
The little girls are happy with some paper and crayons, but they do have a sweet tooth, it must be built into the female specie from birth.

I haven't been out today.

Just making a soup, it's a tub of leaks and onion and spud, you fry then simmer with some stock for 20 minutes.
It's ready now as well

Not far off the start of SCD.

HERE'S a sight to make 'em sit up and pay attention at the back . . . it's soap star Helen Flanagan back in her sexy schoolgirl routine.

As sixth form siren Rosie Webster, she caused a Coronation Street scandal by seducing teacher John Stape.

And close examination shows Helen is still top of the glamour class as she throws herself into partying with pals at the School Disco club in London's West End.

One fellow reveller told us: "The dress code is school uniform and Helen looked amazing in it. She was loving all the attention."

The Corrie stunner - who split with her builder boyfriend earlier this year - spent half the night strolling around in a mini-skirt and black stockings as she sucked on her lollipop.

And she was lucky not to have been kept in after school - because she was a VERY naughty girl. "She was dancing on her table at one point," said our insider.

Helen, 19, is now dating Manchester City defender Reece Wabara - but a pal said: "They are both kids just having a good time."

And we bet he can't wait for playtime.

Liz 'hid lines in frying pan'

Saturday 14 November 2009 12:00PM

Liz Dawn said she used to hide her lines around the set - PA Archive/Press Association Ima

Actors have many tricks up their sleeve for remembering lines.

But Corrie's Liz Dawn had a particularly interesting way of ensuring she knew her words - she hid her lines in the frying pan at Roy's cafe.

The Street legend, whose battle with emphysema forced her to quit her role as Vera Duckworth last year, said her worries over her condition made her stressed about memorising the scripts.

Explaining how life has changed since then, she said: "I don't have the stress of having to learn learns. The crew helped me - especially the cameramen. I used to have my lines on the Duckworths' table, lines in Roy's cafe, in the frying pan - lines all over, really. I think half of that was worrying about my breathing."

The 70-year-old made the comments as she opened a new research unit for patients with lung diseases this week at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester, where she thanked doctors for saving her life.

"I feel as if my life's begun, I've got my life back," she said.

Evening guys.

Not very nice here either. Very blustery.

Went out to do my weekly shop, but couldn't see any 3d glasses in the supermarket (Somerfield). Perhaps they are only in Sainsburys? We don't have one of those locally, so looks like I will have to do without anyway.
I thought they would have given them away with the TV papers. That's what they used to do anyway.

I watched X-Factor, and Stacey was very good.

Sainsbury's keep getting more and more in, but they don't have anything to do with the shop, so you might be able to get them anywhere.

Stacey was so good, so pleased for her, she's the only female left in the competition and she's going to take some beating now.

Hello Mollie, hows things?.

Good show last night. I enjoyed Danyl Johnson and John and Edward as always, disappointed with Jamie and thought Olly had a shocker not good, Lloyd was awful. Stacey is nice and her performance was great, but I find her very annoying and irritating. Joe now I like him and his voice but I find him bland.
darloboy (Play The Game!)
Hi Darloboy.
I thought it was a good show last night, thought they all did ok, wasn't impressed with Lloyd, don't think he can sing at all.

Stacey was the best for me, Joe surprised me, the best i've heard him.

Why do you find Stacey annoying and irritating? don't understand, thought it was a singing competion, not a talking one.

My votes are for Stacey anyway, don't like blokes singing, they should stick to racing cars and playing poker.
Hicky
Good afternoon all

Hicky... thanks for the Corrie news.   Do you have any visitors today?  Or are you going out for Sunday lunch?
We are taking son to drama later, but whether or not we go for a walk on the seafront, depends on the weather.  We took the dog an early morning walk over the sand dunes, which was very nice. Very barren there, and no one in site, except a couple of bunnies.

Emptybox... I think Sainsburys is the only supermarket that has the goggles, according to the C4 advert anyway. But we had to ask for them at the customer service section in the store.
I thought Stacey was good this week, but I still can't see her as a winner at all.

I am going to make a blueberry crumble now.
then must do a bit of my paperwork.

I certainly don't agree with that.  If blokes didn't sing, we wouldn't of had much music to enjoy, and certainly none of the  great classics like Elvis, Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Queen, etc, etc.  But generally I dont think of it as a female/male thing, I either like the way they sing or I don't.
I think this week Stacey sang well, but I still don't think she has a great stage presence, and don't see her as a winner.
And i was surprised how well Joe did this week. I think he is improved as the weeks go by.
Not sure who will win this year.

I'm fine thanks, hope you are too, and hope you are having a good weekend.
I am looking forward to X factor and IACGMEOOH tonight. I bet you are too.

I agee, it was a good show last night.
I too really enjoyed twins last night, I thought it was their best performance, very entertaining.
I think there were some surprises on last nights show, with as you point out, Olly's and Jamies' performances not being so good, yet Joe being a lot better.(but bland as you say).  I wonder how much of this has to be to do with song choice for them, to suit or not suit  their voices?

And I just wish they would shut up about poor Danyl being "cocky"... we need someone with confidence and great stage presence at this stage of the game, not a shrinking violet. He has a great voice, and deserves a lot better treatment imo.
M
Good Afternoon Mollie.

Had a Grandson round before, his Dad came and took him to his house, will go round later and see them and more little ones.

It's cleared up here, wind has dropped, not sure what it's going to do.

I've got a couple of rolled pork belly mini joints for dinner later, will have them with the usual veg and spuds, probably roast.

Your Blueberry crumble sounds lovely.

I have a pudding in the fridge, can't remember what it is though.

Looking forward to X-Factor tonight, and IACGMOOH starts tonight at 9pm.

Cockraches, kangaroo anuses and George Hamilton's tan...I'm A Celebrity is back!

IT TAKES 500 production crew, 200,000 cockroaches, 2,5 million meal worms and five miles of steel cabling to put on – not to mention a dozen celebrities who are about to get the shock of their lives.

I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! returns today for its ninth series, paying stars oodles of cash to leave their luxuries behind and rough it in the Australian jungle, where they’ll be forced to eat kangaroo anuses and get close to snakes and spiders.

Names bandied about have included Katie Price, footballer Colin Hendry, Coronation Street star Bruce Jones, boxer Joe Bugner, WAG Lizzy Cundy and fashion designer Henry Holland.

As it happens, none of them seem to be taking part, though Jordan may still be sent into the camp at a later date.

The starting line-up is actress Lucy Benjamin, chef Gino D’Acampo, Strictly Come Dancing’s Camilla Dallerup, glamour model Sam Fox, Hollywood legend George Hamilton, Hollyoaks’ Stuart Manning, interior designers Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan, singer Sabrina Washington, snooker player Jimmy White and How Clean Is Your House’s Kim Woodburn. Let’s hope they prove to be entertaining, but if they don’t, at least we still have Ant and Dec’s amusing banter.

Midlanders should be rooting for former EastEnder Lucy Benjamin, whose mum Jo lives in Sutton Coldfield. She’s married to oil trader Richard Taggart and has a daughter, Bessie, whose third birthday she will be missing while she’s in the jungle.

“Three days is the longest I have ever been away from my daughter,” says the 39-year-old, who will also miss conditioner to stop her hair going frizzy. “In terms of what I might get thrown at me, nothing is going to be worse than that heartbreak.

“I’m a terrible cook, I just don’t know where to begin. I’d never offer myself up as a camp cook, but I’m happy to clean, mop, sweep, carry logs and be a bit of a skivvy.”

The oldest contestant is George Hamilton at 70, who should be able to top up his permatan.

He jokes: “I’m thinking of sneaking a silk robe in and a martini, plus a stunt double and a make-up man,” adding that he’s been sleeping on the floor of his hotel room in preparation for the hardship to come.

“Why would I order room service and live in luxury, only to have it taken away? That would be torture.

“So I slept on the floor in the corner and looked out for any spiders to keep me company.”

that's nice that you got to spend time with your grandson, and some of the other littlies. I bet you are a lovely grandad for them all, especially with your sweety making, and car drawing.

Hope you enjoyed your roast dinner. Daughter had made us some nice jacket potatoes in the halogen oven when we got back from drama. We did get our walk down the seafront, and it was very bracing, but lovely.    It was high tide, as it went dark, and the waves and the swell was huge. Plenty of surfers were out. When it got dark, the coastguard had to bloke off the lower seafront walkway until the tide turned, and the coastguard was watching and talking on his radio. Loads of people just stood and watched it over the seawall. I was glad of my new wooly hat.

Have tried to get all my tidying done ready for a long night of reality tv.
Can't wait.

I have been watching the twins performance from last night on Youtube. It was my fave performance last night.

Hope you enjoy the shows too Hicky.
I think it should be Lloyd who leaves X factor, but he seems to escape each week.
M
Well I think the public was daft to keep that little boy in.
The other fella may have a silly haircut, but at least he can sing.
Don't tell me I'm becoming infected with the X-Factor now?

It was a good night of telly starting with Dr Who, and ending with 'Garrow's Law'

Sounds like you had a very brisk walk Mollie.

X-Factor was brill tonight and I cheered with delight and scream when John and Edward were told they are through to next week...
Congratulations Darlo, and to the proud parents.

Nice news about your new family addition Darlo.

Was very wet here today, so Didn't get any work done.
Only popped out to post that test kit that I talked about a few days ago.

I did my monthly accounts for October, and started to get information gathered for my tax return.

There's a big clash tonight at 9pm.
'Life' on BBC HD
'Flashforward' on Channel 5
'IACGMOOH' on ITV.

Think I'll watch Life, record Flashforward on my DVD/HD recorder, and catch IACGMOOH on the ITV player. I only want to see the faces when Katie Price arrives anyway.
Or maybe I'll record IACGMOOH on the computer?

I'm working again on Wednesday.

It seemed strange working today, mind you I didn't get in till just before dinner, hadn't had brekkie, took a few Samosa's in to heat up.

Don't know if I'm off Thursday/Friday yet, will have to wait and see.

Looking forward to IAC tonight again, at least it's on every day, and the after show is on ITV2 at 10pm as well.
There's a good crowd in the thread Mollie and anyone if you want to partake at 9pm.
You will know most of them anyway.
Just follow this link, it's only in a different area.

Thanks Hicky and Granny.
Eastenders will win more awards.
I seen Stacey's diary she's close to Olly and John and Edward most out of the contestants.
Olly impersonated her in this weeks diary
Hi Darloboy
I saw the 2 video diary's had been swopped, how funny was that.
They do get on well, but you are bound to get close to people when you are with them 24/7
