Had a good few hours with the baby, well he's not really a baby, almost 3 anyway.
Had him in the car, which he loves, came home to get my cards so I could get fuel at the garage and while I stopped in the driveway I locked the car doors so he wouldn't be pinched out of the car while I nipped in the house, I locked the doors while I went in, as I was leaving the house the car alarms went off, it's a wonder it didn't scare the little one as he doesn't like a loud noise, but he was OK, not sure why it went off, not sure what alarms are fitted really, but it didn't like the little lad being in the car after I had armed the alarm.
Just made some more Scottish Tablet, will take some for the canteen staff at work tomorrow.
Made a lovely Mince and onion dinner before, with chips this time.
Daren't let my O/H see how I make the gravy as she doesn't think you should mix the gravy granules and the stock cubes.
I cooked the baby carrots and half the onions in stock made of 2 chicken cubes plus a beef cube, but as the carrots are cooked I added the already fried mince and the other half of the onions, just before serving I make a jug of gravy using 5 tea spoons of beef gravy granules with a quarter pint of boiling water and add this to the mince.
Yummy over chips.

I see OJ Borg doing the lottery show nowadays. Bet he wishes he was still working with Chanelle?

POTD: Tony collapses with chest pains
Thursday, October 29 2009, 08:46 GMT
By Kris Green, Soaps Editor
Tony Gordon is struck down by chest pains during tonight's instalment of Coronation Street as he suffers a heart attack.
As the businessman walks Ozzy the dog home, fireworks startle his canine companion, before he drops to his knees and writhes around on the cobbles clutching his chest.
Will Tony survive his health scare? Or will somebody find him in time?
Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV1.
David Neilson credits wife for Coronation Street career
Coronation Street actor David Neilson has said that he has his wife to thank for remaining in the soap for so long. The star originally joined the soap to play Roy Cropper for just six episodes.

Coronation Street actor David Neilson has said that he has his wife to thank for remaining in the soap for so long. The star originally joined the soap to play Roy Cropper for just six episodes.
He was introduced to Weatherfield in 1995 as a sinister loner who pestered Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride).
David has revealed that he was able to give more depth to his character after discussing him with his wife Jane.
The hard work paid off and Roy has become a permanent fixture on the Street.
He told the Daily Mirror: "Roy was a psychopath. He was stalking Deirdre and was a bit scary.
"It's nice to play psychos, but they don't stay around too long."
He added: "My wife is a special needs teacher and she worked with people with autism. She said Roy could have Asperger's syndrome, making him socially inept, rather than menacing.
"Nobody really knew what Asperger's was back in 1995, so it's my wife I owe it to.
"It's never mentioned in the story though, and it shouldn't be - Roy is a human being, and a label doesn't help him. But I think he's got it. It gives him reasons for his behaviour and gives me something to play. I enjoy idiosyncrasies in people and Roy is full of them."
Roy becomes embroiled in the ongoing saga with Tony Gordon (Gray O'Brien) as he witnesses the businessman suffering a heart attack

The Dancing On Ice 2010 Line Up and Betting Odds have been released by Boylesports bookmakers. They have added all the names that have been linked with Strictly Come Dancing 2010 in the press and it is highly likely a large share of them will take part.
Former Gladiator And An S Club 7 Member Amongst Favourites
The early favourite for Boylesports is former Olympic swimming Champion and former Gladiator Sharron Davies, she is rated 5/1 with Boylesports. Former S Club 7 stars are not shy about going on reality TV shows and Tina Barrett could be the latest to take part, she is 6/1 to win Strictly Come Dancing 2010 and her previous Dancing experience will help her, hopefully she can skate!Plenty Of Big Names In The Mix For New Series
The best of the males is likely to be The Bill actor Gary Lucy, he is an 8/1 chance with Boylesports. Lucy was in Footballers Wives and there must be a link between that and dancing shows as Footballers Wives actresses Zoe Lucker and Laila Rouass are both competing in Strictly Come Dancing. There are several other possible contenders on 8/1 with Boylesports, Louise Redknapp, Sinitta and Gordon Ramseyâs wife Tana all earn an 8/1 quote with Boylesports.Heather Mills Likely To Be First Voted Off Say Bookie
Heather Mills has been photographed practicing her ice skating and it seems sure she will appear on Dancing On Ice 2010, William Hill make her the most likely to be voted off first, they offer 3/1 and those odds could look generous closer to the time so snap them up now. Other interesting names linked with Dancing On Ice 2010 include Keeley Hazell, Bobby Davro and Peter Shilton, to find out their odds and to see who else is likely to be appearing on Dancing On Ice 2010, visit the Boylesports website, where you can also earn a ÂĢ20 free bet for signing up!thanks for the Corrie stuff Hicky. Hope they dont write Tony out, i really like him in the Street.
How has your day gone? Was it work or day off today?
We have been out for tea today because I had a voucher for the local carvary. We got a cooked meal and desert for ÂĢ5, but we had to eat before 6.30pm, which wasn't a problem because OH was home earlier tonight. I bet that littlie's visit kept you busy, at that age you cant take your eyes off them for a minute.
Did you enjoy your gravy and chips? I love gravy and chips too.
At the carvary I had lots of help yourself veg, and tried the bean casserole, it was yummy. Lots of different sorts of lentils and beans in a spicy cheesy and tomato sauce. Then I had ice-cream with butterscotch sauce, and a choccy stick.
wonder what is on tv tonight?
Very warm here again, I have changed back to my summer quil at nightt, and T shirts in the day.
yes, those peeling walls were just awful. But as you say funny red hat liked it. When we went to that wedding in Ramsgate last June, we drove over to visit Margate. But we didnt stay long... what an awful place... many places run down and closed, beaches not nice, didn't like it at all. Cant see an upmarket B and B doing well in that sort of area. Broadstairs the next place along the coast was much nicer.
A shortage of jobs for biology technicians? Is that what led you into your gardens? I think that you may of gone for the best option in the end, because at least you are working for yourself.
Your use of "willnae" there... now that sounds like a Scottish expression to me.
Wonder how Hicky's Scottish tablet came out?
Was at work today, off tomorrow.
I see you had an early tea, at least you didn't have to do the washing up.
As you say, you can't leave the little ones for a Mo, they are just waiting to get up to mischief.
It wasn't just gravy, I put the gravy in with the mince and onions and carrots.
It was going to be beef, but forgot to get the stewing steak out of the freezer, was going to slow cook it during my day off Wednesday.
Never had bean casserole, didn't know they even served it.
Catching up on recordings, watching Charlie in the Philippines at the mO.
Dannii switches on Harrods' lights
Minogue, wearing a single-shouldered white dress, was joined by a 10-year-old heart surgery patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital and Harrods chairman Mohamed al-Fayed for the ceremony.
The west London store, backed by Warner Brothers, chose to turn its lights green to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the The Wizard of Oz.
Harrods is also helping to raise ÂĢ300,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity to fund three bedrooms in the new kidney unit.
Minogue previously said: "It's always a treat to be able to support Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity - this year will be magical with the transformation of Harrods into the Emerald City."
My Theatre tickets came today, so i have all the tickets now, yippeeeeeeeee.
My Scottish Tablets took 2 goes, not sure why, I followed the instructions as normal.
But it turned out more as semi-toffee so I boiled it up again with a drop more milk and water.
You have to watch it's colour as well, it darkens slowly but it can burn in a few seconds so you have to watch the heat all the time.
This time I used the thermometer to check on the temperature, and beating it well before pouring it.
It turned out fine.
Mollie, if you remember 1980 was a time of recession, high inflation and high unemployment, and any jobs were hard to come by.
Just the wrong time to leave university.
When I didn't get any biology jobs I helped my father run his hotel for a few years, then I got a job working for another gardener, before I branched out on my own. It hasn't turned out too bad after all.
I can't really imagine spending my life in a lab now.
And yeah, I like throwing in the odd Scottish word now and again, although in truth, I don't often use them when I'm speaking.
I've got a very mixed up accent, being born in Norfolk but spending most of my life in Scotland.
My Dad had a Scottish accent, but my Mum was more Home Counties.
Hicky. Christmas lights in October? That's just daft.
Mind you, I suppose it is al-Fayed we're talking about here?
Glad your tickets have arrived safely.
Were they couriered or did they trust them to the post?
Another dry day here, but not as warm as yesterday, but not too bad.
Watched that thing on CH4 about the lassie who had acid thrown in her face.
Quite heart-rending.
Just been watching Fern Brittain (sp) with Peaches, not as good as Paris last week, it's Alesha next week.
Christmas will soone be here, it's only about 7 weeks anyway.
All my Tickets came by post but the Rail ones were special delivery.
I saw it in the paper about that Acid girl, can't really watch those programs, too sad for me, too upsetting.
I saw the programme on C4 about the acid attack, brave and pretty girl she can move on now and fulfill her dreams but hope her attackers rot in jail.

God Doi news Good I wonder how Heather Mills will get on she did well on DWTS un America am looking forward to it Thanks Hicky and how're you Mollie? and empty? I've not been in here but I hope you're all wells
Always nice to have you pop in.
I think Heather will do well, she is a gutsy woman, and doesn't like being beat.
Went to a Lock Fyne sea food Restaurant this afternoon, had a lovely Whitebait starter with a Salmon/Sea Bass/Big Prawn/Scallop Main meal, with a CrÃĻme BrÃŧlÃĐe to finish.
Next time i'll have the Crab/Lobster shared platter.
Hicky...glad to hear you enjoyed a nice meal out. That is good that your tickets came ok. will you be staying overnight or just going for the day? As the lights have been switched on early, at least you will be able to see them. I bet the shops will be getting busy by the time you go. I dont like crowded shops though, do you?
Glad your Scottish tablet came out ok.
thanks for the X factor link, will check it out.
GrannyG
hope you are well.
Darloboy..
hope you feel well rested after your break from college.
I am watching Corrie tonight, then Benidorm, or may "Have I got news for You".?? Depends what the rest of the family want to watch, I like both shows.
Pete Andre did "This Morning" today, and I thought he did well, I like his show on tv, I think he is a decent chap, and he is so sweet with his cute kiddies.
Yes it sounds like that recession in the 80's, and your dad running a hotel, did you a big long term favour. Working in a lab would of got a bit tedious for you by now I reckon, and I am sure you are a lot healthier working outdoors, and getting all that exercise into the bargain.
That is interesting about your mixed up accent. My kids too have a real mix. There is some Australian, Irish, Welsh and West Country.
I didn't watch that programme about the girl, I would of found it too upsetting. poor girl. I watched Peter Andre instead, because i like him. I don't watch the Jordan programmes though, I dont like her at all.
time for me to have a nice snack of cereal and Jersey milk. We like that Jersey milk, and now we know animal fats are good for you in moderation, I have ditched that awful skimmed milk.
I'm only going for the day Mollie, O/H works Sunday mornings, and she had to get someone to do her Saturday morning as it is.
It will be a busy day as you say.
I've just made a load of Treacle toffee for work, the difficult bit is ensuring it doesn't burn.
I saw Peter Andre the other morning, he is a real softy, saw him last night as well, heaven knows what Katy is teaching the little lad, he seems obsessed with boobs and wanting to touch them, Peter isn't too pleased at all.
ROFL Jedward were on ITV news just.
I had pizza (my fav food), fries and spaghetti for tea.
I like Peter Andre but can't be bothered with those programmes including him or vile Katie, had enough of the whole saga already.

Such a terrible loss of people.
That's a new one on me, Pizza, Fries and Spaghetti, never had that.
I don't watch or listen to Katie now, she is just bitter that Peter got out and left her to rot, or crumble to bits.
Another dry day here, but it was very windy this afternoon, and it's raining now.
Seems the warmer weather is to finish on Sunday.
Everything is OK in moderation Mollie.
I spend ÂĢ65 on a meal for 2 with a couple of Cokes, and this feller spends $47,000 dollars for lunch with his G/F.
I'm defo in the wrong job I reckon.

Caption: | Daria Zhukova Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich dipped into his bottomless wallet on Friday, to splash out a small fortune on a New York lunchdate with his girlfriend, socialite fashion designer and art mogul Daria Zhukova. The Chelsea FC owner - the world's 51st richest man, with a fortune of $8.5 billion - spent $47,000 on a boozy lunch at Upper East Side hotspot Nello. Most of the huge sum was spent on booze - a staggering $35,000 on 5 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of Cristal Rose - presumably all for the billionaire, as his 28 year old partner is heavily pregnant A $7,000 tip was automatically deducted, and onlookers claim Abramovich threw down another $5,000. It was quite a nice day here.
I noticed thst it's going to change very soon.
But that's one thing we can't control, so no point in worrying about it.
Coronation Street: Gail's boat finally comes in when Joe proposes
Gail Platt is the kind of old tugboat who has seen more ships pass in the night than Morecambe Lighthouse.
But boyfriend Joe buying a wreck of a boat off Bill The Builder for ÂĢ950 brings some welcome romance into her life.
After all, how many women would be happy to help a man scrape the barnacles off his bottom, eh?
And once he erects his impressive mast, she can't help but gasp in delight, even if the neighbours take the mickey.
"They refitted the Queen Elizabeth quicker than you two on that thing," landblubber Eileen snipes.
He may be no Leonardo DiCaprio and she no Kate Winslet, and the boat might be in dry dock for repairs on her drive.
But this is a Titanic moment in more ways than one as Joe vows to her gay dad Ted on Friday, "I'm gunna romance the pants off her".
Too much information, shipmate. But, to a backdrop of fireworks going off, he proposes and she accepts. Let's just hope this isn't yet another affair that ends up on the rocks...

And a little taster of Diana in the show, of course she does an awful lot but she's amazing really.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uryfETWSQSk
Hicky
thanks for posting that link about the musical. I think you will have a lovely day out, it looks great. I love live theatre, and this looks a good performance. I think young Diana will do well for herself.
Emptybox... did you have a day off today, as you have got quite a lot of work done recently in the dry weather?
Darolboy
your tea sounds quite a mix.. but very yummy too. I love pizza. I bet you are looking forward to X factor, just like I am.
Had brekkie in Asda again today , very good it was. Took dog a walk round an old manor and gardens this afternoon. But where has the winter gone this year? I am bored with my summer T shirts, and want to wear my new jumper , and it is just too hot...
I hate Halloween, I worry about the kids bothering my poor old mother. She has to sit with no light on on Halloween, else they might put things in her letter box. Whoever thought it was a good idea to promote Haloween in this country, and encourage kids to knock on strangers doors to beg and terrify pld people?? ... Halloween was never even mentioned when we were kids, now the media never shut up about it. But I guess it is all about commercialism and money making as usual though.
Sound a right old moaner, dont I?
I love birthdays, Christmas etc, but just hate this "trick" business being used as an excuse to scare people.
think I might call in the x factor thread tonight.
I'm looking forward to London, doesn't Diana look Fab?
I've had a few Trick or Treat, but only very young ones, had plenty of stuff for them anyway.
I'm in the SCD thread for now, will have to wait till this finishes to get in X-F.
Hicky... yes Diana does look really good in that show. Did you enjoy the dancing and X factor? I dont watch the dancing, but I did enjoy X factor. Poor Danyl, people can be so cruel, and seem to forget these people on the show performing, are only ordinary members of the public trying their best to sing live under a lot of pressure.
We had a couple of young trick/treaters, so I just gave them sweeties, but my mom is elderly and lives alone, so is scared to answer her door, they are a nuisance going knocking on the elderly peoples bungalows.
We have enjoyed eating some Cadbury choccy raisins whilst we watched X factor. I bet they are not as nice as your home made sweeties though.
Goodnight all
The dancing was very good, but with the public voting the wrong 2 were in the dance off, pity really as they have lost a pretty good dancer now.
The public as usual voting as a popularity contest again.
Sleep Tight Mollie.
A lovely day here, but raining again this evening. Very mild though.
I didn't do much apart from go into town and do my weekly shop.
Watched some of X Factor for a change.
One girl, can't remember her name, but she looked a lot like Chantelle. Then when she spoke, she sounded a lot like Chantelle "Ah breeved, ah wawked".
I think this trick or treat thing is daft as well Mollie, and is just an import from America. Although in Scotland we did something similar around the 5th November called 'Guising'. Where kids dressed up and went round peoples houses asking for "pennies for the guy". But that was another gentler time.
We've never had anyone coming to the door trick or treating. The neighbours have a couple of kids, but they must go somewhere else to trick or treat?
I had my favourite spaghetti bolognese tonight, as I always do on Saturday.
I also have a bottle of my favourite beer with it.
The rest of the week I have the cheaper canned stuff (perfectly nice) but on a Saturday I treat myself to a bottle of Deuchars IPA. Delicious.
Haven't seen any rain today at all.
The girl on X-Factor uou are talking about is Stacey from Dagenham, similar to Chantelle as you say, she can sing all right anyway, more than Chantelle could.
I like Spag Bol myself, but it used to taste a lot nicer when I had it abroad in various countries, not too sure why.
It may have been because they made their own special recipe.
