Hope you are both well, and Families of course.
You aren't allowed to have a Gas bottle in the house, so you would have to get it piped from outside, not sure what the running costs are for liquid gas, they may be the same.
Still haven't used the new oven yet, waiting for the book, don't know if it will be any good.
I'll have to try the cheese & Tom on toast, love that, good idea.
I made some 'Scottish Tablet' this afternoon, you don't need a thermometer and is very easy, you need the right pan though, a Jam making one would do.
I just made 2Lb as my Sister in Law wants some more.
I went to B&Q and got some Araldite to mend my glasses, that seems to have done the trick.
I'll record Justin at 9pm, he is good.
Nigel Havers In Coronation Street
Nigel Havers is to appear in Coronation Street as a gentleman escort.
The smooth actor will first grace screens when he accompanies Claudia, played by Rula Lenska in a one-off appearance, to a pre-Christmas ball.
Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls), who is annoyed to be taking Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden) as her guest, will feel even more frustrated when she sees that her old pal Claudia has the charming Lewis on her arm.
Learning that Claudia paid for Lewis's services, an intrigued Audrey decides to book him for the next event she attends.
But things start to get out of hand when Audrey becomes attracted to her charismatic companion.
A Coronation Street spokeswoman said: "There is no suggestion that Lewis is anything more than a companion escort for his clients."
Havers will first appear on screen on December 18, and will continue in the role in the new year.
glad to hear a visit to B and Q seems to of solved your glasses problems.I have never heard of scottish tablet, is it a type of fugde? Hope your SIL is getting over her op ok.
Yes to do the cheese and tomatoe on toast in the new cooker, I firstly toast the bread in the toaster, then add the cheese and tomatoe, and within minutes, it is lovely and crisp, and the cheese melted.
I wonder where the gas for our calor heater is ? it must be inside the machine then?
I have been too busy to go to the dentist this week with my broken filling, so I have done a diy dentist until I can go. It has done the trick, and stopped the tooth catching on the inside of my mouth.
I will not be around all day tommorrow, I have to take son into Cardiff for his second OU exam. It is a difficult place to get to with it being out of the city, so I am not looking forward to it. Will be glad to get home, and glad it is his last exam till next year.
Is it work for you tommorrow or Friday Hicky?
thanks for that Corrie news. What good news that Nigel is joining, I think he is a great actor. I saw him in a play in Cardiff once. I really like him.
Susan Boyle album cover revealed
It is one of the most hotly anticipated albums in years. Now fans have been given a sneak peek at the cover of Britainâs Got Talent sensation Susan Boyleâs debut release.
14 October 2009 12:38 PM
I heard Leona talk on the radio today and she is to be on X factor.
As you have probably heard already Alex mimed, and Cheryl is to mime too, but Leona said she will only be singing live. I was glad Robbie sang live too.
got the recipe from the web, a person on the DS site gave me the link 2 weeks ago, am going to try it with some peppermint essence because the finished Tablet looked similar to that.
But it's so easy to make.
It seems very similar to fudge, but the ingredients aren't the same quantities.
The gas bottles for the heaters are inside so maybe the bottles are allowed in the house, unless it's just the smaller ones.
Don't fancy the big ones in the house.
Hope your tooth is OK,
I'm working tomorrow, Friday has been moved to Thursday.
I watched Lee Collins, Good program, he danced well.
they must just allow the small bottles already in the heaters in the house then.
yes Justin does really well in things he attempts. I think his little boy is so funny and cute. I bet he will be like his dad when he grows up.
If Thursday is Friday, then it must be nearly beddie bies for you.
time for me to get ready for bed now.
goodnight
dont work too hard tommorrow, and enjoy your work brekkie.
think I will eat out whilst I wait for my son in Cardiff.
Hope you had a good day Emptybox.
They are insisting Alexandra was singing live.
--------------
Alexandra Burke did NOT mime on Sunday's X Factor, show bosses are insisting
--------------
And Cheryl will be singing live really, it's just that she is recording it from earlier on, she will still have the X-Factor audience.
-----------------
Susan's Album I Dreamed A Dream doesnât go on sale until November 23 but pre-orders have already seen it top Amazonâs best sellerâs list.
-------------------
As you say Mollie, it's bed time for me.
Have a good day tomorrow Mollie, catch you whe you get back.
A bit of a wet start, but the day was mostly dry with a wee bit sunshine.
This week has been much milder here than last week.
I've got a couple of calor gas heaters, and various electric fan heaters, so I might use those if oil gets any more expensive.
Not sure if they'd work out cheaper?
I haven't had an electricity bill yet.
Tablet is very sweet. It's harder than fudge, but melts in the mouth.
It's a bit sweet for me, but very popular up here.
Surely you aren't allowed Calor gas heaters in the house without ventilation, not sure how you could use them.
You might get a shock then when you get your Lecky bill, thats not cheap either.
Scottish Tablet shouldn't be any more sweet than normal fudge, it has the same amount of sugar but it uses condensed milk instead of Evep, that may make it slightly sweeter I suppose., but it is nice if you just have a little.

Corrie's Helen Worth visits West African slums

Coronation Street star Helen Worth has spent five days in Sierra Leone. The actress visited the West African country to raise awareness of poverty.
Helen, has played receptionist Gail Platt in the Manchester soap since 1974.
She teamed up with charity ActionAid to fly out to the war-torn region and visit a number of different villages.
The 58-year-old actress told the Yorkshire Post: "They do their best to help themselves.
"Everywhere we went we had an amazing welcome - smiling happy people who gave us more than they had. It was very emotional."
Helen visited areas that the charity has been assisting as well as communities that are still in need of help.
Discussing a day when she visited a rubbish dump, Worth explained: "Around it people had built shacks and families were living alongside pigs who were eating the rubbish.
"They would then sell the pigs. Even in this most horrendous of places they were doing their best to earn a living. It was the one place that I just had to turn away."
She continued: "There is still a lot of work to do in Sierra Leone, but I feel privileged to have seen it and to bring the message back and ask people, if they can, to help by sponsoring a child through ActionAid, as that is the only way their lives can improve."
Is This A Dagger I See before Me? No, It's Coronation Street
ITV soap opera Coronation Street bears comparison with the works of Shakespeare - but should not be taught in schools, according to one of the show's stars.
"It's written for the public and Shakespeare was the same," actress Katherine Kelly, who plays barmaid Becky McDonald, told BBC Radio 5 live. "I think there are very many similarities."
But Kelly, who trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) before joining the soap's cast, is against Coronation Street featuring in lessons, saying: "I think five times a week is enough really."
Ex-Coronation Street star Naomi Radcliffe talks about Fireflies at The Lowry
Oct 15 2009 Chester Chronicle
Naomi Radcliffe faces a gruelling time on stage in Fireflies at The Lowry, Salford Quays, but she isnât fazed.
For this is the actress who spent three years in ITVâs Coronation Street during which time she lost a baby, stole a baby and finally committed suicide by jumping in front of a lorry.
âAfter that you can face anything,â she said.
Oldham-born Radcliffe is justifiably proud of her stint on Corrie, playing Kevin Websterâs lover Alison Wakefield, especially that dramatic departure which was watched by 17 million viewers and won her the British Soap Award for Best Exit.
Fireflies offers a different but equally demanding challenge. This is called âa love story waiting to happenâ and itâs an intense drama woven around two lonely hearts coming face to face with the reality of their lives.
So this is a two-hander, tough work then for Radcliffe and fellow Lancastrian Paul Simpson, who has had the added pressure of taking over the role at a late stage from Brian Mcardle.
She plays Leigh, a woman at crisis point in her life, and Simpson, also ex-Coronation Street, is Nelson, a man under intense personal pressure. Their stories emerge in a script that is fierce, frank and darkly comic.
Itâs also visually exciting storytelling, for it combines text with film and computer graphics, to create a unique theatrical experience.
Said Radcliffe: âItâs an extraordinary piece. We each play several characters that we have created ourselves and we are interacting with the screens. We are not just creating moments on stage but also connections, whatâs right, whatâs meant to be.
âLeigh has had enough of her life, of her ex-husband, of the estate where she lives. She talks directly to the audience, and her story emerges in flashbacks. Nelson does the same. So there they are on stage together talking about their lives, but they donât actually meet until the end.
âThere is a narrative, and itâs about relationships, loss, the stresses of life, the baggage everyone brings with them. Itâs complex, but then itâs about real life.â
Radcliffe warns that itâs an urban piece: âThe language is explicit, the way real people talk.â
She enjoyed the mixed media challenge: âA new experience for me. You have to keep a clear head, get your timing exact.â
As well as Corrie, Radcliffe will be familiar to audiences as Jean Bradshaw in the BBC drama Born and Bred, and as Bev in the BBC Three sitcom The Visit. Most recently she has worked in radio â and been a mum to two sons, aged three and five.
Simpson was born in Oswaldthistle where he was âdiscoveredâ, aged 14, to play the lead role in a 1990s film. He played Nick Clayton in Corrie, and has also been in Cold Feet, Wire in the Blood, The Royal and Casualty. Stage credits include Spring and Port Wine at Bolton Octagon which gained him a Best Actor Award.
A groundbreaking production by The Lowry, Fireflies is a new play by leading North West playwright Kevin Fegan and the director is Noreen Kersha, who has won acclaim for her work on stage and television.
The play can be seen at The Lowry from October 16 to -31. Ring the box office on 0870 787 5788 or visit the website www.thelowry.com.
Roxanne: 'I left Emmerdale for Jo's sake'
Roxanne Pallett has revealed she chose to leave Emmerdale partly for the sake of her character, battered wife Jo Sugden.
The actress, who left the village and her husband Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) behind last December, said she wanted to set an example to other women suffering at the hands of abusive partners.
Roxanne said: "It was me that said I need to go and leave, and not just for my own sake as an actress before I start becoming repetitive - I needed to leave for the character's sake, for the storyline."
She continued: "Women across the country were waiting to see what happens to Jo because it was almost like it was their own dialogue as well.
"If she had stayed, what kind of story would that be telling? The ending had to be that she left him, to set a positive example."
Roxanne said she misses her time on the soap, where she spent three years of her life, but enjoys not knowing what's around the corner.
She said: "I don't like routine and everything being mapped out. It's as exciting as it is daunting not knowing what my next move will be."
Gordon Ramsay launches cookware in Argos
Gordon Ramsay has stepped further out of the kitchen and into the world of business by launching a range of cooking kit with Argos, with the catch line, "kitchenware you can swear by".
By Harry Wallop, Consumer Affairs Editor
Published: 3:00PM BST 09 Oct 2009
The range includes a sandwich griddle for ÂĢ89.99, a milk frother for ÂĢ49.99 and a smoothie and soup blender for ÂĢ99.99. A kettle and toaster are also part of the range, which insiders believe could ultimately achieve sales of close to ÂĢ100 million a year.
This is the latest venture by Ramsay to expand his brand, following the transition of his Hell's Kitchen television series to America, the opening of London pubs and the development of a Gordon Ramsay computer game.
The gadgets are mostly made from brushed stainless steel and are priced at the top end of the kitchen gadget market, costing more than rival ranges by Antony Worrall Thompson and Ainsley Harriott.
The range, which goes on sale in Argos later this month, has been given an initially cautious welcome by Which?, the consumer watchdog. "Gordon Ramsay's products seem to have quite high specifications, plus they look good," said Lisa Galliers, the chief appliance tester.
However, food experts have warned that this latest development could leave Ramsay open to yet further accusations that he is developing his business empire at the expense of his restaurants.
Last month he reacted angrily when asked by the BBC whether he still cooked in any of his kitchens. "When you go and spend ÂĢ500 on an Armani suit and you are happy with it, you don't ask the lady at the desk whether it was Georgio himself who stitched it.
"I know the confidence I have in my team, in fact we have been together for over 10 years â how can you propel talent if you don't expose them?"
Ben McCormack, food critic and editor of the restaurant guide Square Meal, said: "I am a fan of Gordon. His restaurants are marvellous. But I do worry about these brand extensions. If you are eating a ÂĢ200-a-head meal at his flagship Royal Hospital Road restaurant, do you want the chef to be selling kit in Argos?
"Though, I suppose Argos is everyone's guilty credit crunch secret these days."
The gadgets are made in China by Sensio, a leading appliance company, which also makes equipment for the El Paso Mexican brand.
Ramsay said: âItâs not just a case of me sticking a label on it. This range has been used and abused and tried and tested in our professional kitchens. Itâs about durability and longevity.â
--------------------
I think Gordons great myself, love watching him on the TV.
Hicky... how was work today? you were there early today, I see you posted at 6.34am.
Did you hear that someone punched poor Leona in the book store? How awful for the poor girl. Why on earth would someone want to do something as nasty as that to someone as harmless as her?
Thanks for the news items.
I like Corrie, but I have never liked Gordon Ramsay.
Emptybox...
glad it was a bit milder for you, helps to keep those fuel bills down.
I had never heard of that tablet stuff at all, and have never seen any for sale round here.
Hope your SIL enjoyed what you made her Hicky.
Am exhausted after the day in Cardiff, did a lot of walking whilst I waited for son to do his exam. I took my own sandwich for brekkie and ate it in Maccas with a capaccino. My favourite of cheese spread and salad cream.
Yep, was early this morning, It was awful what happened to Leona, he waited in the queue for 5 hours to get to her.
It's not easy to protect about that sort of thing, it spoils it for others now as well.
Going to try some Kandal Mint cake as well, it makes a change.
I do love Salad Cream, but as a Sandwich Spread I love 'Sandwich Spread' it's so nice.
A Lie-in in the morning.
KEANU REEVES is breathing a sigh of relief after a DNA test ended a Canadian mum's claims that he fathered "at least one" of her four children.
Despite insisting he'd never even met KAREN SALA, she filed a lawsuit saying he was the dad of her grown-up kids.
The 46-year-old was seeking ÂĢ100,000 ($150,000) a month in child support, backdated to 1988, and ÂĢ2 million ($3 million) a month in spousal support, retroactive from 2006.
Keanu has maintained all along that he doesn't know her.
His spokesman had previously said: "Her allegations are completely false and absurd. Mr Reeves has no knowledge of who she is."
I too really like those sanwich spreads, I like the fresh ones as well as the ones in jars. My fave is the cheese and pickle ones from Asda.
Yes Leona's experence will spoil it for others now, I bet the public will not now be allowed near celebs whilst book signing. Hope she will be ok.
enjoy your kendal mint cake, I just had a Cadbury halloween cake, cinder toffee flavour, because the kids didn't like it. I did though.
I am so glad to come on here at the end of the day, and chat to you and Emptybox, it so helps me relax after a stessfull week.
OH has put in for a few jobs, he says it is very quiet, and there is no work round here, so I have to accept if he gets a contract , he is going to have to work away. And he says, he will have to consider himself lucky if he gets anything some time soon, the way things are.
Not much on tv tonight after Corrie.
My Safety glasses that I mended were great today, good job done anyway.
I took a bit of fudge for the staff in nthe canteen, they like me taking some goodies in now and again.
We just had a light tea tonight as we are going out for a meal tomorrow night I think as it's one of my Lads Birthday.
We had Tomato soup then O/H had the Tempura prawns and I had some Salmon Baskets, they had soft cheese, smoked and unsmoked Salmon.
Very tasty anyway.
I'm just having a pack of crisps that I bought at work, they are so nice, they are called 'Real' hand cooked Sea Salt & Black Pepper, So good, no idea where I can buy them from except out of the machines at work.
They are made by Sirhowy Valley Foods Ltd.trading as 'The Real Crisp Company'.
You O/H can only try and get local work, if not, it will mean going further afield.
I've never worked closer than 20 miles from home since 1960, I've always done 25,000 miles a year, but the last couple of years i've eased up so I don't do anywhere near that amount now.
I was watching MasterChef, like that program.
Evening.
Another wet start, but a dry cloudy day.
I seem to have developed a very bad back over the last couple of days.
I must have lifted something awkwardly or something.
I do get back pain sometimes, but not usually for 2 days in a row.
I can hardly stand up straight, and am walking around like Quasimodo.
I struggled on with my work today, but I hope it clears soon.
That's really terrible about what happened to Leona Lewis. I hear the guy was arrested and has been sectioned under the mental health act.
I heard the new record by Susan Boyle on the radio - 'Wild Horses'.
It's really rather good.
I could tell she could sing before, but I didn't really like the songs she did, but this isn't bad.
Can't remember who did it originally?
Good luck to your OH with his job search Mollie.
Don't think we had any rain today, didn't see any.
Do you have to lift your Mowers etc in and out of your Van, or do you have ramps for loading them?
It's very easy to hurt your back when doing a lot of jobs.
Hope it eases for you anyway.
I wonder why anyone would want to hurt Leona?, it just shows there's a lot of nutters out there, no-one is ever safe.
I'm sure i've heard Susan singing 'Wild Horses', she has a lovely voice all right.
I have to lift my mower in and out, but it's mostly the legs that take the strain for that.
It was probably lifting a very heavy bag of hedge cuttings that did it?
It's very hard to lift awkward loads and keep your back straight, but even that puts a lot of strain on your spine if it's a bit heavy.

Maggie Jones Smiling Again
Today 12:30
'Coronation Street' legend Maggie Jones has got her "cheeky grin" back after recovering from emergency surgery.
Maggie, 75, who plays battleaxe Blanche Hunt in the hit ITV1 soap, is recovering well after being taken off life support, according to co-star Michael Le Vell.
Michael, who plays mechanic Kevin Webster in the soap, said the cast were visited by Maggie's sister on set, who reassured everyone Maggie is recovering well.
We are really encouraged by her progress, she is showing great fight and resilience.
Maggie remains at Hope Hospital, Salford, after undergoing the operation on Saturday (10.10.09) for an undisclosed condition.
Michael said: "The good news is her sister said she has got a cheeky grin back on her face. She told us Maggie has got all her naughtiness back."
Another co-star, Gray O'Brien, who plays Tony Gordon in the soap, said the cast cheered when told their pal was getting better.
He added: "We're absolutely thrilled."
A Coronation Street spokesman said: "We are really encouraged by her progress, she is showing great fight and resilience."
Hicky....thanks for the Corrie news, glad Blanche is getting better.
glad to hear your glasses are ok now.
I bet you were welcome in that canteen with those treats. Those work crisps sound really yummy.
I hope you have a lovely meal out tonight for your lads birthday. Are you going for a pub meal?
You do a lot of travelling with your work, I remember you saying you worked for a while in the south east.
Emptybox...sorry to hear about your bad back. It is such an easy thing to do to strain your back, and then it takes a while to recover again. I hope it eases soon. That is the trouble with your job, there is a lot of lifting and carrying.
I haven't heard Susan Boyles new song, but I bet she will do well with such a good voice.
I have been swimming tonight with my daughter, and then we got fish and chips for tea, which we all enjoyed for a nice change.
Glad you enjoyed your fish & chips Mollie.
And hope you have a good meal out Hicky.
It was a lovely day here, but back to the chilly weather.
My sore back has eased a bit. It's still fragile and giving me twinges, but not as bad as yesterday.
I was able to work today without too many problems, and seem to have evolved into upright walking again.
Blanche seems to have got through a bad time and seems to be recovering ok.
My safety glasses are fine now, and certainly worth mending, the resin I mixed is ideal and if it has bonded the arm they should last me now.
We went to the Hungry Horse for the meal, they have such a good selection, my lad had a 20oz Steak and ate it all, I just had Chicken Tika Masala, but everyone had a good meal.
Glad your back feels a bit better Emptybox, you'll have to be careful.
Thi is my first post on the new livecloud forum. It does seem pretty big and I'm still trying to find my way around. Thanks to Hicky for showing me the way here. I hope that everyone is reasonably well. I haven't read everything on here, but I gather that Emptybox has a bad back. Much catching up to do.

Fantasists: Fri Oct 16, 2009 Corrie Episode Review
Written by Damon Rochefort (7:30) and Julie Jones (8:30), directed by Stuart Davids.
Theresa's curry is a hit at Prima Doner, thanks to Umed. Dev's not happy about the whole thing and blames it on Darryl, causing Darryl to throw down his apron and leave for Spain. Goodbye Darryl. Following in his steps is Umed after admitting to Dev that the reason he's in England is because he's hiding from gambling debts and he must go back home to Mumbai to sort out his life. Goodbye Umed. Theresa and Lloyd are getting on famously, and Theresa might not have her feet under Lloyd's table, but she's sure got them resting on top of the table! We shall see where this little "gruesome twosome" is headed.
Deirdre and Liz decide to play Thelma and Louise for the day and shove off responsibilities in favour of a boozy lunch and an unrestricted shopping spree! Sounds like my Monday's. Or Tuesday's, or Wednesday's...you get the picture. At this point, Deirdre still unemployed, will do anything to avoid being subjected to the moanings and groanings of the 1 O'Clock Club.
It's the anniversary of Liam's death, and Mammy Connor couldn't be more rude and overbearing. Tony is in crisis, and tells Maria he feels as though he's losing her. She assures him she's not, and they go together to Liam's grave. Maria decides to put the past behind her, then Tony surprises her by proposing to her. Yes, proposing marriage. Maria then throws a cherry on the top of that sundae and suggests he even go as far as to adopt baby Liam. Liam Gordon, has a ring to it. I'm not even going to go into all that is wrong with this picture. Trouble for the couple as Leanne gets on the wire to Carla and tells her all that's gone down and it seems as though Carla's shocked at what Leanne has to tell her. Shocked enough to return?
Speaking of Carla, it seems she's also been on the phone to Luke as well, only regarding the factory. It doesn't seem like their conversation is going to well as Luke hangs up unhappily on her. Luke's working his seemingly endless charm on Rosie with the ultimate goal of getting his hands on her dosh. He's playing her like a cheap deck of cards! Rosie is slightly suspicious of Luke's behaviour, but eats all of his lies. Luke convinces Rosie that she should transfer over the cash as soon as possible, then he'll have his solicitor write up the papers the next day. Erm, I know Rosie's not the brightest crayon in the box, but that's definitely NOT the way a purchase like this goes. Rosie wants to tell her parents about it, but Luke convinces her that it will be better for her to tell everyone at once tomorrow and rub their noses in it. Of course, this piques Rosie's interest more. Luke books himself a one-way flight to Rio, and Rosie catches him, but he tells her he's planning a surprise for her. Rosie says she loves surprises. Oh, I think that's about to change!
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Theresa telling Lloyd that she's more "what you see is what you get" whereas Liz is "overdone and buys her clothes from Tranny's R Us." I LOVE that store! Where else can you find 7 inch patent leather stilettos in a size 14?
- Umed telling Dev that he's not called the "Indian Richard Branson" for nothing. Haha.
- Liz and Deirdre's girly whirly day! I need one of those! Well, someone to come with me! lol.
LOWLIGHTS:
- Maria assuring Tony that she loves him and that nobody is going to come between them. Oh, just you wait Mrs. Connor, just you wait. Poor thing!
- That over-bearing, over-critical Mammy Connor! I can't bloody stand the woman! As Tony would say, she needs to "take her acid tongue and her tubby hubby and go back to the land of Beggorah and Bejesus." PLEASE.
- Tony proposing to Maria and Maria accepting!!! Have these two lost their marbles? And Umed thought he was a fantasist.
- Slimy Luke manipulating vapid Rosie to steal her money. She might deserve it, but it's still very underhanded and wrong! Villainous even! I'm really not satisfied with what happened at with the character of Luke Strong. Oh well.
so glad Hicky helped you find your way over here.
I hope you are keeping well.
Emptybox
glad your back is a lot better, and didn't interfere with your work. Take it easy now when lifting.
Hicky
glad you had a nice meal out last night. Sounds like your lad enjoys his steak. What have you been up to today?
thanks for the Corrie news.
Hope you all had the good weather we have had here today. We decided to go to a castle at the top of a hill with lovely views. Doggie loved it But all did not go to plan, We got lost going there,so went miles out of our way 'cos OH was looking at the wrong castle on the map. We were just going to turn back 'cos daughter was feeling car sick, and doggie was getting bored, when thankfully we found it. There was a huge cave under the castle, so we started this hugely steep climb down, and that was when I suddenly ended up flat on my bum. Ouch...They alll laughed at me till they reallised my hand was bleeding quite bad from falling in grit. Daughter helped me wash it with my bottle of water. I am so accident prone. Now I have blood on my new coat, hope it comes out. Luckily we still enjoyed our day though, so it was well worth the journey, and I now have my plasters on, so hand feels better.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend all. xx
Goodnight. I am off to brekkie in Asda in the morning.
Think you need a Sat Nav Mollie, you can't go round searching for Castles.
Not sure whether it's a good idea to go climbing down to caves, good job you didn't fall too far.
I made some 'Kendal Mint Cake' just to try it, it's very popular with athletes and climbers etc, it's only Sugar and Milk with Peppermint flavour, but it is nice.
Then we went to Costco and got some Fillet steak and a few bits.
Got my Lad a some little ones staying but they have gone to Blackpool this evening to see the Lights.
My new Printer should be here Monday afternoon according to Dell.
Sorry to hear of your tumble Mollie. Hope your coat cleans up OK.But at least you found your castle in the end.
I haven't read everything on here, but I gather that Emptybox has a bad back.
It was a nice day here. I was mostly doing housework, then went to do my weekly shop.
Tomorrow I'm going to make another attempt at Argos.
I want to buy a shelf unit for DVDs and CDs etc to match one I've already got, and also an electric underblanket.
At the moment I've pinched the one out of the spare bedroom, but it's one of those small ones that leave your toes cold, so I want a full sized one.
Back a bit better again. If I've been sitting for a while and then stand up I get a twinge and have to stretch for a minute or two, but when I get going it's OK.
Hope your wireless printer arrives OK Hicky. You'll have to let me know if it's difficult to configure.
Well at least you know they close at 4pm Sunday eh.
Hope you get your shelf unit this time.
I'm not too well up on Electric blankets, thought they were just single and double, and if your too tall you wear socks.
Glad your back seems better, but you might have arthritis or something, or it could be Workitis, I have the smae problem, it doesn't come on on my days off.
I'll let you know how I get on with the wireless printer.
it was another lovely day here, hope it was in your areas too.
Emptybox... glad to hear the back is improved to what it was. Hope you got what you want from Argos this week. I don't have an electric blanket, but I do have a microwave hot water bottle that I use if my feet get a bit cold at bedtime. If I had a blanket, I would probably forget to switch it on before I went to bed.
Hicky...hope you had .a good day.
I bet the little ones enjoyed the Blackpool lights. I have heard about them, but never actually seen them. Hope you are pleased with your printer when it comes.
We have had a nice afternoon walk with the dog today, the trees are such lovely colours now. Daughter helped me check my shoes were laced properly today, ..... she said it was no wonder I fell yesterday, my laces weren't even tied properly, and the shoes were slipping.
X factor time, hope my faves don't go..
It was pretty good here today as well.
Little ones enjoyed Blackpool, went in the fair as well, and that's pretty big.
I made them brekkie this Morning as their dad was still in bed knackered.
It is worth going to see the light, but you are best getting a coach trip, not really advisable to go by car.
I've got my Flue jab in the morning, and got to wait in in the afternoon for my printer.
I made some Kendal Mint Cake but O/H said it needed more Peppermint so I melted it down and added some Glucose and some more Peppermint in it.
Looking forward to X-Factor.
There some good acts this year.
I like a few of them, Lucie & Stacey I like, but Danyl is so good as are others.
