Big Brother 10: David has birthday sulk
2/09/2009

David sulked though his birthday celebrations last night.

The camp clothes sorter was so upset about Lisa’s departure from the β€˜Big Brother’ house earlier in the evening he didn’t feel like partying with the rest of his housemates – even going as far as to give his alcohol away to Rodrigo and Sophie.

After a lonely cigarette at the house bus stop, David went to bed early and slept alone on the bed next to where his best friend had lain.

His housemates hatched a plot to cheer him up this morning, however, led by Sophie and Rodrigo.

The glamour model said: "I can't believe they didn't play David the happy birthday song last night."

To which the Brazilian student replied: "Yeah, we should sing it to David!"

Sophie then planned a birthday cake, although at that moment David walked through the door from the bedroom – prompting his four housemates into chorus.

Afterward he thanked them, saying: "Aww, thanks guys!" before somewhat inappropriately adding: "There's a funny smell in here?"

Lisa reunites with ex-girlfriend
Day 91, 14:06 BST
By Alex Fletcher, Senior Entertainment Reporter

Lisa reunites with ex-girlfriend

Evicted housemate Lisa Wallace has confirmed that she has already reunited with her ex-girlfriend.

Lisa frequently spoke about her former partner Charley during her time in the house, but confessed that she wasn't certain that her lover would be waiting for her on the outside.

"I was on the phone to her last night and I've got back with her. We're both sorted and everything's cool, so I'm really happy," she told DS.

"She's been watching me and up all through the night watching everything. She said she was really proud.

"All I wanted, even before I went on air with Davina, was to speak to her. I had been wondering all the time whether she had met anyone in the outside world, but she has been waiting for me all this time and all my mates say that she's in love with me and wants me."

She added: "We will have been going out for three years on October 7 this year. It's been on-and-off obviously, but now it's definitely back on and it's going to stay that way."

The 41-year-old became the 13th housemate to be evicted from the show last night, missing out on a place in the final.

Big Brother Marcus talks to the Chronicle
Sep 2 2009 By Steve Bax

Big Brother's Marcus Akin in the garden at his Brentford home

Groupies, stalkers, hordes of screaming fans and a rock star's welcome at his favourite nightspot – life is looking good for Big Brother star Marcus Akin.

The 35-year-old former window fitter emerged from the famous reality TV house on Friday after surviving a creditable 13 weeks on the show, and stepped into a new life in the limelight.

He was hailed by host Davina McCall and pundit Grace Dent (not to mention around 3,000 fans on the internet) as possibly the greatest housemate in the show's 10 year history.

Marcus, who has a tattoo of a number 13 on his neck and once set fire to his face, lived up to his wild appearance on the show by constantly swearing, speaking his mind, and challenging BB bosses with escape attempts, dismantling fixtures, and sussing out the show's twists.

But he was finally evicted by viewers, at the eighth attempt, last week – just seven days before the show's final where the last standing housemate will claim prize money of up to Β£100,000.

The Chronicle caught up with TV's 'Irrepressible Dark Horse' – a name he thought up while a pupil at Hounslow Manor School in the 1980s - at his home on the Haverfield Estate in Brentford on Tuesday.

Speaking about his whirlwind few days outside the house, Marcus said: β€œIt's been mad.

β€œI've been awake for about 67 hours since I came out – I've had about nine hours sleep since Friday. After I'd done the eviction interviews and the Big Brother's Big Mouth I was taken straight to a hotel in Elstree with two good friends of mine, Phil Cattemull and Helen Green.

β€œThere was a wedding there and I upstaged the bride because people wanted to hang out with me.

β€œOn Saturday I went to my friend's club, The Pit in Hounslow (based at the Duke of Cambridge pub in Kingsley Road) and it was just f****** brilliant. Even people who don't usually speak to me were coming up to say hello.”

Marcus reckons he's posed for well over 1,000 photographs for fans of the show since his exit on Friday, and switched his home computer on at the weekend to find some 7,000 emails and 3,000 people wanting him to add them as friends on the social networking site Facebook.

He's even got his own would-be stalker, an internet user by the name of Raven Rockchick, who asked him a question while he was on spin-off show Big Brother's Little Brother, and has since been leaving messages with Marcus' brother.

Marcus added: β€œI expected the response from the public to be half good, half bad. I even thought I might end up in a few fights if people didn't like me. But – apart from a couple of people – there's been no negative human contact. Every single person has been brilliant.”

Marcus revealed he's had a few offers from girls but is on the lookout for someone special.

He said: β€œAs I said on Big Brother I am the hundred per cent man, and its got to be right. I'm looking for someone who's genuinely nice. I met a girl in Hounslow on Saturday who could be the one. She seems really nice and educated in rock music.”

Marcus feels he was well-prepared for the Big Brother experience after auditioning twice before and spending a week in the house last year as a part of a guinnea pig team, allowing producers to test out the house and tasks before filming.

He said he plans to stay in touch with housemates Freddy Fisher and Bea Hammil, but isn't sure if he will rekindle his friendship with Irish temptress Noirin Kelly, who he insists he knew he hadn't a chance of dating on the outside world but pursued her to beat the boredom.

Marcus predicts Brazilian student Rodrigo Lopes, 23, will win this year's Big Brother, but says he would have liked it to be Lisa as she would have β€œdone the most with the money”.

But he added: β€œI was never in it to win the money. I assumed there would be a prize fund but I didn't remember anyone saying there would be anything. If I had won I would have used the money to do my house up and pay my friend, Phil's rent.”

Asked what he missed about Brentford while in the house, he said: β€œApart from my friends obviously it wasn't really a Brentford thing. I missed driving and my spaghetti westerns, there were films on the cinema that I wanted to see like Terminator Salvation.

β€œIf someone said to me how long have you been in there I'd have said three weeks, not 13. It's like being in The Matrix because everything looks real but its not, its scripted.”

Marcus has yet to venture to his local Tesco or set foot in Brentford by day but did drive over to Toys R Us in Hayes on Tuesday where he used some of his Big Brother wages to purchase a Β£35 Terminator Salvation action figure and a Transformer. He stopped to pose for photos with some BB fans who spotted him in the car park.

As for the future, Marcus says he intends to reply to all the fan emails he's received (even though it will take a while) and would be interested in trying his hand at TV presenting.

He said: β€œThere's been talk that I could do Robot Wars or a martial arts program. I might go back to the window fitting eventually but it depends what happens. I've got no expectations but if someone puts something in front of me I'll consider it.”

You are most welcome.

I hope Sophie wins, she's got a good chance now, just need the votes, well she has mine anyway.
And she did seem to have a lot of support last night outside the house.

Lisa: 'I could have turned Bea'
Day 91, 16:14 BST
By Alex Fletcher, Senior Entertainment Reporter

Lisa: 'I could have turned Bea'

Ex-housemate Lisa has claimed that she could have persuaded Bea to kiss her if she had wanted.

The 41-year-old lesbian claimed on her VT intro that she could "turn" any female she desired, but did not follow that through with actions in the house.

However, the unemployed Midlander insisted that she could have won the affections of several female housemates if she had tried.

"If I really wanted to let go, I could have easily got a snog out of Bea. Easily with some banter," she told DS. "If we'd had a few drinks, I could have played them all up to be honest.

"The only one I couldn't would be Sophie because she was like a youngish girl. She was different from the rest."

When asked whether she could have been tempted by any of the men in the house, she said: "No chance! They could have tried because I do appreciate men. I like good-looking men and thought Kris was gorgeous. If I was into men, he would have been my type."

The Big Brother final takes place on Friday at 8:30pm on Channel 4.

David sobs at birthday letter

VIVIENNE Westwood fan David Ramsden was delighted after being presented with a letter from his idol as a birthday gift.

The camp fashion lover, who is celebrating his 29th birthday today, was given the handwritten note as a special treat.

In the letter Vivienne wishes David luck in the final and tells him to get in touch once he leaves the show.

"Thank you so much Vivienne, I'll treasure this," David sobbed in the Diary Room.

She's an amazing woman, she's written me this and it means loads," he added. "Fashion would not be the same without her."

Siavash: 'Housemates in for surprise'

Siavash has predicted that Big Brother will have a surprise in store for the housemates in the coming days.

During a chat with Sophie, the Iranian claimed that it is unlikely that the group will be left to their own devices until Friday.

He stated: "They're gonna do a party for David, definitely."

"What about tomorrow?" asked Sophie.

"They'll give us something tomorrow," Siavash replied. "Friday they will leave us."

He added: "It's going to be a huge thing tomorrow or even today maybe. It's going to be a big surprise. They're going to make the last two days the most interesting."

Rodrigo: 'I'll stay close to Sophie'

Rodrigo has claimed that he will remain good friends with Sophie after they leave the house.

During a chat with David, the Brazilian said that he is keen to stay in touch with the glamour model.

"When we leave the house, we'll go out together and have fun," Rodrigo stated.

"Definitely, good friends are hard to come by," replied David.

"Yeah," agreed the student. "And we've had the same experience together."

David then said to Rodrigo: "Maybe Big Brother has proved to you that Britain loves you."

"This is what makes me feel happy," the 23-year-old responded.

He added: "What most makes me happy is that we will leave together, not just by ourselves."

Housemates asked to rate themselves
Day 91, 19:19 BST
By Rebecca Routledge

Housemates asked to rate themselves

The housemates have been asked to rate themselves in a new task set by Big Brother.

David was putting forward his guesses in the Diary Room when the group were advised that if their thoughts matched those of the recycled clothes sorter, extra cash would be put into the prize fund.

First of all, the housemates were asked to reveal who they believe is the most popular with viewers, by taking their places on podiums numbered one to four.

"I should've stood in the fu**ing bus stop," joked Siavash.

Rodrigo stated: "I'm number three."

"You're not number three, Roddy," replied Sophie, taking her place on the third podium.

Big Brother reminded the housemates that they must position themselves in the order that they believed to be correct, not what they thought David would say.

"Trust me, it should be Charlie, Rodrigo, Sophie, then me," Siavash stated.

"But that's what you think, not what I think," Rodrigo snapped.

Next the housemates were asked to decide who is the most fake.

"Fake?" asked Charlie. "What do they mean by that? Boobs?"

"No, fake would be personality," Siavash explained.

This part of the task also caused some disagreement among the housemates.

Results of the challenge are yet to be revealed.

hope you have had a good day. xx

Hi Mollie.wavey

I've had a good day.
Eaten the Crab etc and the fish.
Have got Salt Fish for Brekkie, love that with Bacon and Toast.

Will have early night now with BB being on early.

There's only 1 girl left in the BB house, and it just happens to be the winner, hope so anyway.

David's let down was Lisa, smoking and not mixing with the other HM's enough.
He isolated himself and used Lisa as a support.
Big Mistake.

It's been difficult to start for a while, but I tried changing the spark plug without effect, so I'm stumped.

I've just spent Β£60 getting my mower fixed, so I don't fancy spending any money on my hedger, which is 8 years old and falling to pieces anyway.
I think it's time for a new one?

Hi Emptybox.wavey
I suppose with smaller things like your Hedger you need to have a couple of them at hand so you can use one while the other is getting mended.
Hope your Mower will be OK now for a while.

There was nothing worth watching on BB, they were watching themselves making that video.

Big Brother contestant has his house burgled

Published Date: 03 September 2009
BIG Brother finalist David Ramsden has had his West Yorkshire home ransacked and burgled.
A friend of the gay fashionista discovered the burglary when she went to check on the flat in Dewsbury where in lives alone.

Items stolen from the property are said to include a TV, stereo and laptop computer.

It is not know whether any clothes from his designer wardrobe have been stolen.

Paint is reported to have been splashed on the walls of the recycled clothes sorter's flat, which he left in July to enter the Big Brother house.

A sofa has reportedly been slashed with a knife that was left embedded within the damaged item of furniture.
David's sister, Leanne, 27, said: "It's a bit upsetting - you can only think whoever did this had seen him on TV and knew he wouldn't be around."

West Yorkshire Police confirmed they had been called on Monday afternoon to a report of a burglary and were investigating the incident.

Starstruck David, who also won Β£4,000 pounds after appearing on the game show Goldenballs with Jasper Carrott, had been trying to get on Big Brother for the past five years.

When the 28-year-old finally entered the house, his dad, also called David, praised his hard working son.

The 52-year-old said: 'Dewsbury got a bad press because of all that went on with Shannon Matthews so it'll be nice to get some good press for a change.'

David's rivals in the public vote for the Big Brother crown are Brazilian student Rodrigo Lopes, Geordie prankster Charlie Drummond, model Sophie Reade and events organiser Siavash Sabbaghpour.

Meet the voice of Big Brother
3rd September 2009
By Robert Brooks

Simon Jobson with Marcus

HE had to drink fish guts and brush his teeth with chilli paste while tackling an obstacle course full of goo in a neon-green leotard, but Simon Jobson's determination has paid off.
The 22-year-old DJ from Alnwick will become the voice of Big Brother tomorrow, after winning a competition on the iconic reality TV show's offshoot, Big Brother's Little Brother, at the weekend.

To get to the final, Simon – known as Jobby – first endured a round of maggot-licking whilst blindfolded.
But he made it through and took the title by storm live on Channel 4 on Sunday.

For his efforts, Jobby will be given the celebrity treatment when he arrives at Elstree Studios and the Big Brother House tomorrow.
He will spend the day hanging out with the likes of presenter Davina McCall, before taking a tour of the camera rooms.

But the biggest bonus for the BB-superfan will be to chat to the remaining housemates prior to the evening's live final, when one of them will be crowned winner of the 2009 show.

"I can't actually believe that I am going to be Big Brother for a day," Jobby said. "It's the first time that this has ever happened in the history of Big Brother, so I am quite privileged to be the person that got the opportunity.

"Wearing the green lycra suit was really good fun, although it wasn't very flattering. I had an advantage as the two girls I was competing with were very conscious about their looks, but I didn't give two hoots. My goal was to win, and win I did."

The Big Brother fame effect also rubbed off on Jobby.

"When I left the studio to go to my car, I was on the phone to one of my mates when I heard a group of girls coming towards me," he said. "They noticed who I was and demanded that I had a photo taken. It felt quite strange."

Jobby's voice will be on Big Brother from 8.30pm tomorrow and, before that, on BBLB on E4 from 6pm.

Glamour model Sophie dumps Kris ahead of the final
By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 9:13 AM on 03rd September 2009

When they were both fresh-faced Big Brother housemates, glamour model Sophie Reade couldn't get enough of curly haired Kris Donnelly.

She even burst into tears when he was evicted from the house two months ago.

But with the end of the show looming, Sophie is thinking about the future - a future without Kris.

She contemplated being reunited with her former lover this afternoon, but wasn't looking forward to it.

Sophie told her other housemates she didn't want to be questioned by journalists.

'It's embarrassing because he will be standing there.

"So you are you and Kris going to be carrying on on the outside?" - what will I say because he's right there?" she said.

Siavash Sabbaghpour told Sophie she should just be honest.

But she said she would deny they were still an item if journalists asked her.

Throughout the couple's romance there was speculation they were acting up for the cameras.

Both claimed their feelings were real, although when he left the house Kris refused to call Sophie his girlfriend.

There was then speculation that Sophie, who has put on weight while in the house, was pregnant.

There's an ad offer in the wind

Smell of success? ... Sophie

SERIAL wind-breaker Sophie Reade will be offered the chance to advertise an anti-flatulence capsule when she leaves the show.

The glamour model has upset other housemates by openly farting in the house, and wound up Rodrigo Lopes by doing it while the pair shared a bath.

But her digestion problems could prove to be a money maker as she's going to be asked to front a six-figure national publicity campaign for WindSetlers once she's out of the Big Brother house.

A spokesman for WindSetlers said: "Bloating and trapped wind cause discomfort and embarrassment for thousands of women across the country, yet it is still considered a taboo subject and is not often discussed.

"We hope the fact that young Sophie has been so vocal and carefree about her excessive wind will encourage women specifically to talk more openly about a condition that affects us all to some degree and not be so embarrassed about seeking out treatment.

"We are looking forward to hear if Sophie is interested taking the offer forward following the eviction show tomorrow evening."

Celebrity make-up artist Sue Moxley will also be on hand to give you a makeover on the night. The Big Brother Celebriparty is just the first of many planned by the organisers, and it takes place at 10pm THIS Saturday 5 September at London’s indigO2. Want to come along? Of course you do! To book an advance ticket for just Β£12, simply click here, or if there’s any left on the night you will be charged Β£15. We'll see you at the bar, and on the dance floor, and basically everywhere sexy Rex goes...

Brian Belo has SUCH a massive crush on Sophie!
Posted by heatworld on Thursday 03 Sep 2009

Brian Belo has been championing BB's Sophie since day one, and we all saw what happened when he went into the house and saw her, ahem, assets in the flesh. Today he's blogging about the Beyonce Single Ladies task, but also telling us just how he feels about the lovely blonde housemate...

The Beyonce Task – Uh-Oh

Final week fever reached boiling point in last night's episode. Housemates were on top form whilst re-enacting Beyonce's Single Ladies. David is a dark horse. In fact, the more I see of David, the more I would not be totally surprised if he took the crown come Friday. His performance of Beyonce was hilarious!

Sophie was proving more as to why she is the bookies' favourite. She's witty and funny, as well as being gorgeous. Her breasts in the Beyonce outfit looked like they were about to combust! I just love her carefree attitude for life and the way she seems to take everything in the house on the chin.

Charlie is definitely one housemate who has been living with the others for too long. He's increasingly grumpy and bitchy – for someone that I thought would win – and I now see him coming out first on the final night. I think it will be gutting for Charlie if he's evicted before Rodrigo, as he sees himself as superior to him. Only one more night's sleep till we find out who wins, I can't wait...!

Brian xx

We can't believe Big Brother – and our summer with Brian – is nearly over. Blub. Are you an X Factor fan by any chance, Bri?

Sia squirms at Noirin kiss

SIAVASH was unable to watch housemates re-enacting his kiss with Noirin Kelly.

Housemates had been challenged to recreate day 50 in the Big Brother house and film it.

They had been given the opportunity to watch the show so they could prepare for their parts.

But when Siavash Sabbaghpour realised it was an episode where he snogged Irish beauty Noirin he did a runner.

And yesterday the 23-year-old found he could not even watch the re-enactment with Sophie Reade playing Noirin.

"I'm not watching this," he said as he left the room.

The rest of the housemates, who had been given booze, sweets and ice-cream for the screening, seemed to enjoy the show.

"That was brilliant. Thank you Big Brother for an amazing night," David said after it finished.

Cheryl Cole's debut solo single is to premiere on the Radio 1 breakfast show next week.

Aled Haydn Jones - producer of The Chris Moyles Show - posted on his Twitter page: "Just heard Cheryl Cole's new song! Oh my God I love it. We have the first play on Monday at 8am."

He later added: "It's not as pop as I'd expected."

However, Jones did not reveal the title of the single or any further details about its release.

Cole is believed to have recorded songs with will.i.am, Xenomania and Taio Cruz for her as-yet-untitled solo album.

thanks for all that news. Hope your ankles are not bothering you today.
Poor David. Frowner
Shame that Sophie ever got with that Kris in the first place.

I am off swimming now, catch you later.

Hi Mollie.wavey

You are most welcome, news getting harder to get, on BB anyway.

I see Siavash was going to walk last night, but it looks like he's staying now.

That's not nice for David, he's going to be pretty annoyed about that.

Not sure whether Sophie will get back with Kris or not.

did you enjoy your fish today?

Wonder why on earth Siavash would consider walking with only days to go? Maybe he wanted a bit of attention?

I made my fave butternut squash soup for tea tonight. The hardest thing about it is cutting and dicing the squash, it is just so hard to cut up. But it does make such delicious soup though. Smiler

Hi Mollie.wavey
The Salt fish was great, have enough for another brekkie, probably Saturday.

Think Siavash is a bit worried about going out with everyone there, because of Noirin and his G/F.

Think they are all a bit concerned.

Can't remember having Butternut squash.

I just had a tin of Tomato soup, love that.
And at 0.17p from Sainsburys I can't resist.
It's Sainsburys own by the way.
