Tatty, Chrome is a bit big tbh, that's why I got rid of it before, 60Mb or something, and I needed every Mb at the time. It is very fast, but with Firefox there's loads of add-ons to make browsing more fun and easier. (Like StumbleUpon)although chrome has a spell checker also it seems. Smiler

All of the housemates will face eviction on Tuesday, rumours suggest.

The contestants were shocked yesterday when they discovered that they had to nominate again, and Charlie, Sophie and Siavash refused to do it.

The trio have been put up for eviction as a punishment, according to the Daily Star.

Meanwhile, Lisa and David both nominated, causing Rodrigo to take part to counteract their votes.

As a result, all six housemates will face the public vote.

The eviction will take place during special live shows tomorrow at 8pm and 10pm on Channel 4.

I hope that they are all up this week, if David and Lisa aren't then that would be a big blow.

Lisa: 'I'm a bad judge of character'
Day 89, 13:24 BST
By Matt Risley

Lisa: 'I'm a bad judge of character'

Lisa believes that she has badly misjudged some of the other housemates.

David and Lisa were discussing the events of last night, in which Charlie called Lisa "boring".

"I want to pack all of my stuff," Lisa raged. "I want everything ready. Too right. Plus I'll be happier, it makes me think I'm going home soon."

As David continued to make her a cup of tea and issue soothing words of advice, Lisa snapped again.

"People just need to stay out of my face and stop being stupid. Sometimes I think I've made the wrong judgements in this house."

David tried to change the subject, but Lisa came back to her earlier argument with Charlie.

"He pushes it he does... just that little bit... attention seeking thing. I could give them some home truths if I wanted to," she concluded.

Charlie has always been way ott, never really liked him, he just does things for the air time and to get on camera for his 'Best Bits', he's seen all these shows so he knows what to do.

Pity we can't get him out really.

Good evening all wavey

Hicky... aawww, what a pity the Red Arrows couldn't perform due to the weather, after you had to sit in the car so long too. I saw them years ago when they were in weston super mare, they were very good.
Thanks for all the news items again. Smiler

Today me, hubbie and all 3 kids, took the dog a long walk round a local country park, and down by the river. She did enjoy it, it is the fist long walk she has had since she was ill, so she loved it. Then we all went to Pizza Hut for a bank hol treat. Smiler I only had one slice of pizza, because I enjoyed a huge plate of salad.

Hicky... I too wish Charlie would be out next, he is so irritating, such an attention seeking drama queen, always has to be the first in the diary room too, and constantly tellng us what a nice fella he is. Roll Eyes

Emptybox.. hope you sort out the rental stuff ok. xxx

Hi Mollie.Wave
We did see about 20 Minutes of the Red Arrows display, just a few things were missing because of the visibility and a storm moving in.

We all got soaked and the cars were parked a good way away, so we couldn't get to them.

Glad your Dog is put and about, she must be improving anyway.

It will be interesting to see who goes Tuesday, thought they had evictions on a Wednesday mid week.

As long as it's either Charlie, David or Lisa I don't care.

Marcus's BB eviction brings in 2.4 million

Marcus's BB eviction brings in 2.4 million

Around 2.4 million tuned in to see Marcus Akin become the eleventh housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house on Friday night.

According to early figures, the eviction of Akin - dubbed 'Wolverine' because of his unusual facial hair - averaged 2.36m (15.6%) for Channel 4 at 10.35pm. The earlier highlights show pulled in 2.27m (11%) in the 9pm hour, while E4's Big Brother's Big Mouth followed the eviction show with a decent 356k (4%).

Elsewhere, ITV1 had a poor showing for its live coverage of the UEFA Super Cup game between Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk. Overall, the match averaged just 1.82m (9.3%) between 7.30pm and 10.40pm.

BBC One's Inspector George Gently had a respectable 4.61m (22.7%) over 90 minutes from 8.30pm.

The Tudors logged 1.72m (9.5%) for BBC Two between 9pm and 10.30pm, a fall of over 400k on the previous week's opener.

In the 8pm hour, Mastermind brought in 2.21m (10.9%) to the channel, then Gardeners' World kept 1.98m (9.9%) until 9pm. C4's A Place In The Sun: Home Or USA? put in 1.41m (7%) for the hour, while on Five, You're Nicked! took 1.16m (5.8%).

Later on Five, NCIS interested 1.23m (6%) then Law & Order: Criminal Intent maintained 1.24m (7%). CSI: Miami closed off prime with 488k (4.7%) in the 11pm hour.

Overall, BBC One led primetime on Friday with an average audience share of 24.8%. ITV1 was down to a disappointing 11.7%, while Channel 4 took third place with 8.2% (+1: 0.7%). BBC Two had 8.7% and Five finished last with 5.1%.

Elsewhere, ITV2's reruns of the first week of The X Factor proved popular in multichannel homes. A repeat of the ITV1 show put in 437k (2.8%) from 6.30pm, with a further 201k (1.1%) on timeshift, then at 8pm, The Xtra Factor improved the audience to 507k (2.8%). The ITV2+1 screening had 187k (1%) from 9pm.

Pity you didn't get to see the whole display Hicky, and got wet.

I'm sure I've seen the Red Arrows before as well. Very spectacular they were. Can't remember where it was now? Quite a few years ago now. Big Grin

Wet here as well, so I didn't get any work done. I took my Dad's clothes to a charity shop.
There's still a load of coats and caps here ( he did like his flat caps. Big Grin), but we'll get round to those another time.

The landlady came round and I signed the tennancy agreement. Also the guy came to do the Energy certificate.

He was very thorough. Measured up all the rooms, looked at the construction of the house, and looked at the new insulation in the loft.
Apart from the loft insulation, I don't think the house will score well, because it is old and difficult to heat, and there isn't double glazing all round. Oh well!

Hi Hicky.
I think the energy certificate is more for the owner than for me.
It gives a score as to how energy efficient the building is.
I think you also get a score to do with CO2 emissions based on what fuels you use.
We have oil fired cenral heating.

We do have double glazing upstairs, but only one window downstairs is double glazed.

We don't have cavities either. Big Grin
Solid stone for the main building, and single brick for the utility room, which is a later extension.

03:30 Still quiet. David's snoring is minimal.

02:58 All pretty quiet in the bedroom. Hardly surprising, seeing as most of the HMs seem to hate each other at the moment.

02:30 Looks like everyone's gone to bed now.

02:17 Charlie's left the bathroom. Siavash comes in to talk to Rodrigo; he's just been in the diary room.

02:10 Rodrigo and Charlie are in the bathroom. Charlie's telling Rod how they'll hook up in Leeds and have a fun weekend.

Everybody up!

Last stand ... Rodrigo, Sophie, Charlie and Siavash

EVERY one of the remaining housemates is up for eviction on Tuesday.

Big Brother made the decision to put all six contestants into the eviction mix, following more nomination refusals from the housemates.

Charlie Drummond started the ball rolling when he couldn't bring himself to nominate anyone.

Big Brother told him he would be up for eviction himself if he refused to select two housemates, but he stuck to his guns and left the diary room.

He told the other housemates that he was now up for eviction, and they agreed that they would also refuse to nominate, letting the public decide who should stay and who should go.

But David Ramsden had a change of heart in the diary room.

"No one tells me what to do," he said to Big Brother, and nominated Siavash Sabbaghpour and Sophie Reade (who, coincidentally, he had just seen nominating him on video).

When he came out, he told the housemates that he had nominated. "I came into this house saying I'm not going to break a rule," he said.

Lisa Wallace then went to the diary room and nominated Siavash and Charlie Drummond.

When Rodrigo Lopes nominated Lisa and David, saying he was angry with them for not following the wishes of the group, things were looking bleak for Charlie, Siavash and Sophie — the only housemates who had failed to nominate.

But Big Brother decided to throw out its own rule book and put all the housemates up for eviction.

Now Lisa and David are being touted as front runners to leave the house.

Lisa offers Sophie reassurance
Day 90, 08:23 BST
By Jen Grieves

Lisa offered Sophie some kind words last night as she worried about being booed when she leaves the house.

Sophie and Siavash were chatting in the living room when Lisa came out of the bedroom to roll a cigarette.

With tonight's impending eviction on their minds, Sophie remarked: "I really think it will be me."

Addressing Lisa, she said: "You'll have Birmingham behind you. And you'll have Yorkshire," she said to David.

"You'll have all the men," the eBay retailer replied, but the glamour model quickly responded: "Men don't watch the show."

"We're all feeling the same, we've just got to wait," offered Lisa.

Sophie then said that she was excited about leaving but couldn't face being greeted by a wave of boos.

Lisa assured her: "Just wave and get down them stairs, Davina will be there... And people you know."

As Lisa and David left the living room for a cigarette she reiterated: "Just don't worry." She then told David that she wished she could "hold [Sophie's] hand and take her out".

"I'll be worried for her," Lisa added.

Charlie informed the group that they must watch and re-enact an episode of Big Brother from their series.

The episode chosen was Day 50, and Siavash was soon horrified to learn that he and Noirin were an item at this time, having minutes earlier described the viewing as "the best task ever".

He immediately ran out of the task room and into the bedroom, where he covered himself with his duvet.

"I'm not watching this, I'm not listening to this," he said, before groaning: "Oh God, national humiliation all over again."

Meanwhile, the other housemates took in all they could as they prepared to learn the script from the episode.

Props and scripts were provided, as well as puppets to replace all departed housemates.

Housemates were given two hours to plan and rehearse their episode, and a further two to three hours to record it, during which they could not hold or read their scripts.

If the housemates pass the task, they will receive a luxury shopping budget for their final week in the house.

Charlie, Rodrigo plan 'wild' night out
Day 90, 08:33 BST
By Jen Grieves

Charlie and Rodrigo planned a "wild" night out after Big Brother while sharing a bath last night.

The pair had been in the pool and were chatting in a bubble bath when Charlie remarked that he wasn't ready to go to bed.

"Do you want to go out clubbing?" he joked, as Rodrigo laughed.

Charlie then asked the Brazilian if he would ever normally go out on a Monday night, to which he said he would if he had no lectures the following day.

"Are you wild when you go out?" Charlie continued, to which Rodrigo replied: "More when I was in Brazil and I was younger."

Rodrigo then began to worry that his family would not be able to make it to London for a mid-week eviction.

Charlie offered: "My Dad will be there, speak to my family. Go up to Newcastle and you can go out with my mates.

"I think there might be some food in the fridge that's three months old," the former Mr Gay Newcastle laughed.

"When we leave I will come [to Newcastle]," assured Rodrigo, adding: "And you come to me."

"I promise I will," replied Charlie. "We'll go out for a bit on Friday and then go mad all day and night on Saturday," he continued. telling Rodrigo that he had "always" wanted to go out in Leeds.

Jamie Oliver's new campaigns to focus on improving hospital food and care for the elderly
Exclusive By Mark Jefferies 1/09/2009

Jamie Oliver wants his future TV campaigns to focus on improving hospital food and care for the elderly.

The 34-year-old said the NHS could save cash by feeding patients better food to help them recover quickly.

He added: "What we feed people in hospital is unforgivable. We could save a fortune by feeding them well and getting them back out there. And the way we feed old people is terrible."

But the projects will have to wait as the TV chef is busy promoting his new series Jamie's American Road Trip, which starts tonight on Channel 4.

Alesha Dixon undergoes full body make-over ahead of Strictly Come Dancing debut
By 3am 1/09/2009

Not long now til Alesha Dixon hits our screens as a judge on Strictly. And she's taking no chances.

The former dance champ knows everyone will be comparing her to Cheryl Cole so she's gone for a full body make-over to lose some excess inches.

Hardly a fattie in the first place, the singer, 31, reckons she's lost 10 inches all over after having a Universal Contour Wrap to drain water from the body.

Careful, love, you'll disappear at that rate!

Alesha takes over as judge from Arlene Phillips on September 18.

Says our mole: "People will make comparisons between Alesha and Cheryl. They are friends but Alesha still wants to look as good.

"She does not feel like her body was in as good shape as when she danced on the show and she was desperate to get it back."

No Kerry Katona-style kebab forays for you then...

Martinia Hingis joins 'Strictly Come Dancing' cast

Martina Hingis can't play tennis professionally right now, so why not take up dancing? But Dancing With the Stars has already made its selections for next season; if only there were another poorly conceived reality series that exploited E-list celebrities and let a sedentary population live vicariously through their exploits ... Thank goodness for the BBC!

Hingis is joining the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, the seventh season of the dance competition, set to start Sept. 18. The 28-year-old tennis star is currently serving a two-year ban from tennis for using cocaine.

Joining her are Joe Calzaghe, a retired former world super-middleweight and light-heavyweight champion, Olympic long jumper Jade Johnson, cricketer Phil Tufnell and jump jockey Richard Dunwoody, the AP reports. There are a couple others, but then we start getting into sports stars and soap actors we really don't know.

George Sampson 'falls out with Cowell'
Tuesday, September 1 2009, 08:44 BST
By Mayer Nissim, Entertainment Reporter

Dancer George Sampson has said that he and Simon Cowell are not getting on.

Last year's Britain's Got Talent winner told The Sun that Cowell was more interested in his music acts, such as X Factor winners Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis.

Sampson said: "Things aren't going so well with me and Simon. I suppose he's realised he can make more money out of other people.

"But I thought we were tight. I had one of the best-selling DVDs at the start of the year. We sold loads of copies."

He added: "But I've just found out that Simon's company takes 90% of the revenue. I get 10%. But I have to pay the production costs out of that.

"So I ended up owing them money. I'm not quite sure how it all works but that can't be fair, can it?"

Sampson was also reportedly upset that Cowell purchased a ÂĢ6,000 Chanel handbag for Burke's 21st birthday, while he gave him ÂĢ150 of shop vouchers for his own 16th in June.

He said: "All he got me was vouchers for Harrods. What am I supposed to buy in there?"

The X Factor's Toughest Challenge
By Marion McMullen on Sep 1, 09 08:00 AM

PLONKING superstar wannabes in front a 2,000 strong audience does smack slightly of Christians being thrown to the lions in the old Roman arenas.

The candidates might survive the mauling, but they are more likely to be left a bloody wreck after facing the boos, jeers and loud calls of "Off, off, off."

The X Factor's new twist this year certainly make the ITV talent show edge of your seat viewing.

Now hopefuls don't just have to impress Simon Cowell and Co ...they have to impress an entire audience of punters.
It's no place for the tone-deaf, the shy, the nervous or those living in a talent-free zone. Unfortunately, it doesn't stop them trying.

The audience element has been shamelessly lifted from the Britain's Got Talent format and it instantly allows the judges to see who can sing and, more importantly, who has public appeal.

It seems to be working well, but the current trend of blink-and-you-miss-them micro-second glimpses of contestants is just plain annoying. You don't even get to hear them sing, which is sort of the whole point of the competition really.

Still there's always the on-going style wars contest between Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole to keep interest from flagging ... and Simon Cowell's look of delight when someone turns up who can actually sing. You can almost see him calculating the future record sales.

Battle of babes for Dancing on Ice job
Former Dancing on Ice stars Suzanne Shaw and Melinda Messenger are both after the vacant job as judge on the show.

Former Dancing on Ice stars Suzanne Shaw and Melinda Messenger are both after the vacant job as judge on the show.

The programme is looking for a new judge following Ruthie Henshall's decision to quit the ice dance show.

A source at ITV told the Daily Star: "This is vital to refreshing the show but don't expect there to be a huge salary. It's all about profile.

"We are looking for someone who viewers have come to know and love - expect hair extensions and claws out any day now."

Suzanne won series three of the show after scoring five sixes with the judges in two of her routines at the finals. She was eventually crowned the winner by getting the majority of the public votes.

Melinda was a contestant in the fourth season of the show but after surviving three skate-offs lost out to Jessica Taylor in her fourth skate-off.

A recent report claimed that Ruthie has split from her husband of five years.

The West End star has said that the break-up with Canadian singer Tim Howar was "amicable".

The couple met in 2001 when they both starred in the West End show "Peggy Sue Got Married".

The couple have two daughters six-year-old Lily and Dolly who is four.

A spokesman for Henshall told the Daily Mirror: "Ruthie and Tim have moved apart but remain very good friends.

"They are not willing to say any more at the present time."
