Me, OH and daughter went out for tea at Harvester tonight, our excuse was that it was our wedding anniversay a few days ago. Had a lovely meal, but then we called in Macdonalds on way home to get one of our boys a chicken burger, and I caught my foot on the door... Eeker I nearly passed out with pain, I could feel blood gradually seeping into my sandal. Daughter quickly sat me down, and I had broken my toe nail half way down. Frowner Luckily my bright red nail varnish hid all the blood. It is still throbbing now, daughter got warm bowl of water to soak it, and OH bought dressing to put on it. It must of been the glass of wine I drank made me clumsy. I only had one glass, but cant take my booze, it makes me light headed. I think the nail might eventually fall off now.

oooo dont Eeker reminds me of when i slipped on marble floor with toe-post shoes on, and my big toe nail slipped right into the step in front of me Sick needless to say a few days later, i had to go and have the thing ripped out Sick so i feel for you Hug

it just saddens me when you hear of business people, who conduct their business with a lack of compassion for others. Frowner

i know, its shame on her, really!! some people money rules their head, they have no compassion, regardless of what is going on with other people. i am sure it would not have done any harm her waiting a month or two at most, but empty really does need to get a rent assessor, the local council will do this for nothing, as it goes hand in hand with the council tax, so he should really go see about it with them, even though it is private rented makes no difference.

empty, i feel for you sweetie Hug

Hi Mollie.Wave

Sorry to hear about your Toe nail.
If it goes black under the nail, then you will proably lose it, but they grow back again.

Think you should get some ToeTectors, they have steel toe caps, would save all this hassle.

Been getting my stuff ready for going away.

I was talking to one of my Sister in laws last night, she had just had the exact same problem with her elbow, but because of the infection it prevented them doing a major knee replacement operation.
She's not very happy at all.

Mollie. That toe sounds sore. Eeker Frowner
As Hicky says, you should get some steel toe cap boots or shoes.

Hicky. I hope you enjoy your break away at Longleat. Cool

It was mostly dry today, so I got through quite a bit of work, but it'll take a while to get caught up, and I still had other errands to run as well, so I couldn't just concentrate on gardening.

I picked up my Dad's ashes from the funeral director. I think we are going to scatter them in the garden, at the same spot we did Mum's.
Even if I have to move, I think that is the best thing to do.

I think I'll wait to see what figure the landlady comes up with before I decide what to do.
I know the rent we have been paying has been something of a bargain for a 3 bedroom cottage, so a modest rise would still be viable for me, but I've been looking at rental property on websites, and some of the prices are frightening. Eeker

I think if she comes back with a very high figure I would point out that there is quite a lot of damp damage to plaster work, and she would have to sort all that out and redecorate before she put a new tennant in at that price.

The funny thing is, that the prices of houses to buy have been coming down round here, so it might be better for me to buy a small place once my Dad's estate has been settled. But that may take months.

Ah well. I'm trying just to take each day as it comes, and not to worry too much about the future. But I think if Dad knew this was likely to happen, he might have put my name on the tennancy agreement in the first place?

Night. Smiler

Good Morning Everyone.wavey

Just popped in before my Taxi comes.

Hi Emptybox.Wave
There's no hurry to do anything to hasty, but getting things sorted with your Dads estate can take quite a while, Mums took 6 months, if you have to transfer any savings or shares it can be a nightmare.
And the solicitors are pretty expensive.
Hope things turn out well anyway, it's a stressful time, and even worse if you have to do it all by yourself.

I Couldn't get back in here or LiveCloud last night so I gave in, and Mollie couldn't either.
So I tried this morning at it worked.

I'l see what news there is while I have a few minutes left.

Last Night in the BB House, Day 80/81
------------
03.14 Marcus is in the bathroom.

02.34 Charlie says goodnight to Marcus.

02.32 Marcus can't work out why Big Brother is the top rated TV programme when all the housemates do is sit around and look sad.

02.28 Charlie says he would love to do some charity work.

02.27 Marcus says he wants to swim the channel.

"I think I'll do that pretty easy," he says.

02.19 "If someone told to nominate somebody I wouldn't do it," says David.

Lisa says, "No, I'll nominate who I want to nominate."

02.16 Rodrigo and Sophie are whispering about why Sophie told Noirin she had sex with Kris.

02.15 Lisa and David are now up for another cigarette.

02.13 Lisa and David are lying in bed and ask people to turn the light off before David says, "I might be up in another 10 minutes for another fag."

02.12 It looks like Sophie has been crying in the toilet.

"Do you want me to tuck you into bed," Lisa asks her.

02.04 Lisa and David are brushing their teeth.

02.01 "I do like Kris but, at the end of the day, if someone wants to say stuff like that about me I don't want to be with them," says Sophie.

01.59 "I love being me," says Lisa.

01.56 "Put me up for eviction next week," says Sophie.

"I really wanna go. I really miss home."

01.55 Lisa is still trying to calm Sophie's nerves about the whole Kris/pregnancy saga.

01.48 Siavash says people should organise it so that everyone gets two votes each so everyone goes up.

Very clever!

01.46 Siavash, Rodrigo and Marcus are discussing a plan to persuade Big Brother to put everyone in the house up for eviction.

"As long as we all stay together we'll be fine," says Siavash.

01.41 "I would like to go up for nomination with the six other people," says Rodrigo.

01.39 Sophie is still worried about the story about her being pregnant.

Lisa and Siavash are trying to convince her that it is just a gossip story and everyone knows it isn't true.

01.38 Rodrigo is wondering why there are loads of flies around his bed.

01.37 "I should be happy but I'm not," Marcus tells Rodrigo.

01.32 "I will not let that man [Kris] get anything out of me," Sophie says.

01.31 "Don't mention Kris' name again now," Lisa tells Sophie.

01.30 "Are you in a mood with us?" Charlie asks Rodrigo.

"No," Rodrigo replies before going into the bathroom with a grumpy face.

"So he is in a mood," Charlie laughs.

01.28 Rodrigo has come out of the Diary Room.

01.26 "I'm glad that people saw me ... in my primark boxer shorts. That's me," says Lisa.

01.24 "When I was coming in I thought, 'I'll be back home in two weeks'," says Lisa.

"I just wish we could all win it now."

01.21 "Before I came into the house I lived by a certain set of rules. Those rules are more important to me than the rules of a f****** TV show," says Siavash.

01.19 "Even Lisa hasn't been like 100% against going up," Siavash tells Marcus.

01.16 "I think this week's nominations will be between you [David] and Marcus," says Sophie.

Lisa reckons it will be Marcus and Siavash.

Sophie says the only person she wants to nominate is Marcus.

01.15 Lisa and Charlie say that they will nominate if Big Brother tells them to.

01.14 Housemates are talking about nominations.

"Can't we just do it so we all go up," says Sophie.

01.14 "I think they all fancied me, every one of them," says Lisa.

01.12 Sophie says that at the start she liked Karly and Noirin and didn't like Kris.

01.09 The housemates are giving Sophie more alcohol.

We all know what happens when Sophie has too much to drink...

01.08 "The only times I've been in the paper I've had my t*ts out. Nobody knows what I'm like as a person," says Sophie.

01.07 "That message what he [Kris] gave you was beautiful," David tells Sophie.

01.03 Charlie is telling Sophie how to deal with the Kris situation when she leaves the house.

He tells her she shouldn't do any stories about them as a couple.

01.01 Marcus is lying on his bed all by himself.

00.57 Sophie is teasing Charlie about his relationship with Rodrigo.

00.56 Charlie tells Sophie, "I know for a fact nothing went on," between her and Kris.

He should know seeing as he was lying next to them!

00.54 Charlie and Lisa are fighting with what look like foam skittles in the living room.

00.52 "If Big Brother tells me to nominate I'm f****** nominating," says David.

00.51 "She's nominated me every week since she's been here," David says about Bea.

"But we still liked her," says Lisa.

00.47 "This is our last saturday together," says Charlie.

00.46 "Honestly, if you put me up for eviction, I will go," says Sophie.

00.44 The housemates are talking about the stories in the magazines.

"They might have got me in the shower with my t*ts out," Lisa says.

00.37 The housemates are talking about the alcohol they like. David says he likes Lambrini.

Go for the cheap stuff, David.

00.33 David, Lisa and Charlie are talking about the cameras in the house.

00.28 "I don't think she [Noirin] wanted you, I just think she wanted a bit more attention in the house," David tells Siavash.

00.24 David and Lisa are smoking in the garden.

00.23 Sophie says, "I believe if you really like someone so much you wouldn't do anything to jeopardise the relationship."

Sophie tells Siavash, "You obviously weren't meant to be," referring to his girlfriend on the outside.

00.22 Sophie is talking about a guy she really liked who told her, "If you really like me, you'll give up your modelling."

Don't give it up, Sophie!

00.21 Siavash says, "I think as soon as I have a good relationship, I'll f*** it up."

00.18 Marcus takes the suitcases back to the store room.

00.17 "I think I might go and do some flossing," says Marcus.

00.16 "I'm not looking forward to going through all my f****** emails when I get out," Marcus says to David.

00.13 "I think people are gonna hate me on the outside," says Sophie.

"I seriously think as soon as I go up for eviction I seriously will go."

Sophie is down in the dumps

GLAMOUR girl Sophie was downhearted last night as she told housemates that she wanted to go home.
Sophie, 20, spent most of the night worrying about what was written about her in the magazines delivered to the Big Brother house.

She was angry and upset about the rumours she was pregnant and had had sex in the house with ex-lover Kris. She said, "The only times I've been in the paper I've had my t*ts out. Nobody knows what I'm like as a person."

Charlie tried to comfort busty Sophie, saying, "I know for a fact nothing went on."

Lisa and Siavash also tried convince Sophie that what was written was only gossip and everybody knows that it is not true.

Distraught

A distraught Sophie told housemates, "Put me up for eviction next week. I really wanna go. I really miss home.

"Honestly, if you put me up for eviction, I will go."

She then said about former flame Kris, "I do like Kris but, at the end of the day, if someone wants to say stuff like that about me I don't want to be with them."

Later in the evening she was comforted by Rodrigo after she had been crying in the toilet.

Please stay, Sophie!

One day at a time is the best plan, looking too far into the future can be quite frightening. I usually deal with any problems when they land in my lap that way the stress is very limited. I hope all turns out in your favour with your rent and you manage to get that plastering done Hug

Yes, if you have decided that is the best thing to do with the ashes, it certainly is the best thing, whether you move or not.

And as Hicky says, best not to rush things home wise. When you are still in shock, rushed decisions could mean making a mistake.

It is indeed a good idea for you to point out the work that does need to be done to the cottage if that landlady comes back with a high rent figure.

And I definately think you have no rush to buy a property yet, so no need to worry if the estate does take a long time to be sorted. With all the unemployment around, the banks not lending, and the debt the country is in, I can only see house prices going down, after this little spring bounce. They are already down about 20% here, and still not selling any more.

As you say, all you can do is to cope with each day at a time. Hug Yes, I bet your poor father would of been sad to think by not having you on the tenancy, things like this could of happened so quickly.

Glad to hear you caught up a little work wise, I hope you had it dry again today.
