Mel B signs up to become one of ITV's Loose Women
By Mark Jefferies 17/08/2009

Big-haired scary as ever, Mel B is set to launch into her new role – as one of TV’s Loose Women.

The former Spice Girl, 34, shows she’s still in great shape as she poses for a sexy new photo-shoot after signing up to appear as a guest presenter on the ITV1 daytime chat show for a week starting on September 14.

A source said: “We can’t believe we’ve managed to get her.

“She’s known for being sassy and outspoken, so she will fit in just fine – and maybe bring a few A-list pals with her.”

Mel, based in LA, follows in the footsteps of ex-bandmate Emma Bunton – Baby Spice – who appeared on the show in December.

Nomination twist revealed?

By Matthew Reynolds, Gaming Reporter

Bea, Marcus and David are up for eviction this week, according to the Daily Star.

As Siavash and Sophie refused to vote yesterday, Big Brother decided that the first two housemates they touched or spoke to would count as their vote.

Their votes joined the nominations from the rest of the house, which has reportedly put the trio up for eviction.

The results will be officially unveiled later today.

Tuesday, August 18 2009, 11:34 BST
By Alex Fletcher, Senior Entertainment Reporter

Big Brother 7 star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace has claimed that she is "fascinated" by breasts.

The reality TV star, who recently increased her chest size to 32G, confessed to the unusual fetish in an interview with lads' magazine Zoo.

"I've got proper big boobs now. I'm fascinated by breasts," she said. "I stare at women and their boobs all the time."

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old also praised the figure of her popstar friend Amy Winehouse.

"Amy has got wicked boobs," said Horgan-Wallace. "She's got a great little figure on her."

(Yours aren't too bad either.)

Afternoon all

Hicky on your profile page on LiveCloud, there is a drop down thingy for changing the time, scroll down that and go for GMT+1, I read it in one of the other threads about changing the time, I've done that and it's changed my time to the right one, must just remember to go back to GMT when the clocks go back.

Mollie, if the weather is anything like here, your washing should dry in no time, it's a good dryng day here as my Nan used to say.

Thanks for the updates Hicky and the news about Kerry Katona, I really hoped at one time she could change herself around but she has gone too far by the looks of it... she is a silly, silly girl. I saw her on "This Morning" when she had not taken her tablets or was drunk depending on your view, and I did actually feel sorry for her and I think Phillip and Fern did that morning as well.

The X Factor news is not so interesting to me, I'm a SCD girl and can't wait for that to come back and we get to see the lovely dresses again. Every year when it's on I say I'm taking up dancing again as I did it when I was younger, but never get round to it, may be this year I will.

See you all later.

Thanks for the time info, i'll have a look at tonight when I get home.

It doesn't look good for Kerry, I blame it all on that feller of hers.

I quite like X-F, I used to have tears in my eyes whenever Leona sang, god that voice, just did something very strange.

I prefer the Ice skating to the dancing, only because it's a bit more daring.
Still like the dancing though.

Amy Winehouse tipped to appear on Strictly Come Dancing
Singer set to perform with Dionne Bromfield
Tuesday, 18 August 2009

Amy Winehouse will apparently provide backing vocals for her goddaughter on Strictly Come Dancing

The star is said to have agreed to support Dionne Bromfield, 13, when she appears on the BBC show in September.

'She'll do anything to help Dionne become a huge success, and Strictly was just too big an opportunity for them not to take' a source tells the Sunday Mirror.

'Strictly have made it a priority to sign Amy and will stop at nothing to have her.

'X Factor have upped their game with the likes of Madonna and Robbie Williams in talks. So bagging Amy would be a real coup.'

Meanwhile, Amy is flying to Miami, where she married ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil, to work on her third album.

Dermot O'Leary slams Strictly Come Dancing for axing judge Arlene Phillips
18/08/2009

Dermot O'Leary has poured scorn on Strictly Come Dancing for axing judge Arlene Phillips - and insisted the BBC1 show has lost all credibility.

The X Factor host compared her to judge Simon Cowell and described her as the "heartbeat" of the dancing contest.

Dermot, 36, also accused his BBC1 rival of taking itself too seriously and claimed it has lost sight of the fact it is supposed to entertain viewers.

He said: "I feel sorry for her. I think she was the heartbeat of the show - she was their Simon.

"I'm just really surprised by it because she was the person who they kind of hinged their credibility on."

Dermot told Heat magazine: "The people who work on Strictly take it all a bit too seriously - it's not a dancing show, it's an entertainment show."

The BBC has been accused of ageism after ditching Arlene, 66, in favour of singer Alesha Dixon, 30, who won the show in 2007.

But Dermot said Arlene is still a looker, even though she isn't as young as her replacement. He added: "Arlene's a very beautiful woman. If your wife looked like Arlene at her age, you'd be happy."

And although he believes the BBC may have ruined the show by dumping Arlene, he did have some words of support for Alesha. He said: "I think Alesha will be a good judge and I think the panel has the experience.

"Alesha ticks the same boxes as Cheryl in that she's been there, done that and knows what it takes to win the show."

Lynda Bellingham for Strictly Come Dancing 2009
August 17th, 2009 by Lisa McGarry.

The Oxo lady, Lynda Bellingham has reportedly signed up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Producers are said to be hoping that the appearance of the older actress will help diffuse the scandal caused by the replacement of Arlene Phillips with Alesha Dixon.

A source told The Mirror: “Lynda is a great signing and hopefully her appearance helps to illustrate that there is no age bias. We want a fresh and varied lineup and we know Lynda would be a handful.

“Having seen her on Loose Women, she will give as good as she gets if things get heated in training or in front of the judges.”

Zoe Lucker tipped for Strictly Come Dancing role
Aug 17 2009 By Neil Atkinson

TV STAR Zoe Lucker could be joining the hit BBC show Strictly Come Dancing.

Reports suggest the Huddersfield actress is in detailed talks about becoming one of the celebrity stars of the huge series.

The 35-year-old actress could be confirmed as part of the line-up by next month.

And she could well be joined in the series by another actor with Huddersfield links.

Reece Dinsdale, 50, who plays Coronation Street’s Joe McIntyre, is another star said to be lined up for the new series next month.

Dinsdale is a keen Huddersfield Town fan and has a club sticker in his van on the Street’s cobbles.

Strictly Come Dancing returns for its seventh series this autumn.

A Strictly insider said: “Zoe’s really keen to sign up for Strictly.

“Over the years she’s seen how being on the show has raised profiles of the celebrities who’ve taken part, such as Alesha Dixon and Rachel Stevens.

“She feels that she’s still only really known for her part in Footballers’ Wives, which ended more than three years ago.

“Zoe’s looking for new challenges and thinks this could be her big break.”

Dancing On Ice to get Friday show

Dancing On Ice is to be given a primetime Friday night preview programme when it returns in January, according to the papers.

The Sun reports that the 30 minute show will see the contestants preparing for Sunday's programme - and ITV bosses are hoping it will give a boost to their Friday night schedules.

The cash-strapped channel is also hoping that the new show will help gain advertising revenue.

The X Factor - ITV's other big reality TV hit - will also be on twice a week when it returns on August 22.

"We're really keen to capitalise on the success of Dancing On Ice - and the new show is seen as a great extension," an insider told the paper.

"It will give fans all the news and gossip from the week of training. We've yet to decide on a host, but Philip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, Torvill and Dean and the judges will appear."

Show bosses are also searching for a new judge to replace Ruthie Henshall after she quit.

The 2009 series was won by singer Ray Quinn.

Women2Day - Beauty: Kelly Brook has the best celebrity boobs, poll reveals
Aug 12 2009 By James Shepherd

Kelly Brook has the most enviable celebrity boobs, a poll of women has revealed.

Girls have named the TV beauty’s curvy 32E cleavage as the one they would most like to have, followed by Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole’s chest.

Tomb Raider actress Angelina Jolie came third in the poll, while new This Morning host Holly Willoughby is at number four.

The new mum’s 32D bosom caused a stir on Dancing On Ice in 2008, thanks to her plunging necklines.

Forty-year-old Jennifer Aniston was voted into fifth place.

David Ross, chief executive of The Hospital Group, which carried out the study, said: ‘’Kelly Brook is well known for her curves and she is constantly topping the sexiest women polls.

‘’But it’s interesting to see that it’s not just men who are under her spell.

‘’This study shows that thousands of women would love to have a cleavage to rival Kelly’s, but unfortunately, not everyone is blessed with one.’’

Sixth place in the poll of 2,000 women was Lost in Translation star Scarlett Johansson, followed by Bootylicious singer Beyonce and Fantastic Four actress Jessica Alba.

Burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese and I’m a Celeb star Myleene Klass completed the top ten.

Other women to feature in the poll included former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson, glamour model Jordan and supermodel Kate Moss.

Researchers also revealed 39 per cent of women think celebrities have a major influence on people’s thoughts on plastic surgery, with one in five saying they would consider plastic surgery to get boobs like their idol.

Only two per cent of women have already done this.

But while seven per cent of women would choose the fake, Hollywood look, such as Victoria Beckham’s round chest, the majority of women said they would like their boobs to look natural.

It’s not just breasts that women look to celebs for inspiration as one in ten would also consider other cosmetic surgeries to get a body similar to their favourite star.

And 31 per cent would mention their favourite celebrity when getting plastic surgery to make it clear that’s the look they want.

Melinda set to return to TV

SWINDON’S Melinda Messenger will star in a new prime time TV show from next month.

The former glamour model will team up with footballer Ian Wright and The Apprentice runner-up Kate Walsh for a new nightly magazine show on Five.

I can’t wait to get cracking on the new series. Melinda and Kate are great girls and I love the banter we already have. I struggle to get a word in when those two get going!

Ian Wright
This year, Swindon-born Melinda has featured in Five’s Cowboy Builders and ITV’s Dancing On Ice. Her TV career began in 1997 when she appeared on Eurotrash on Channel 4.

Melinda said: “I am very excited to be part of a brilliant, innovative new show.

“I can’t wait to work with Ian and Kate who are fantastic and I think we are going to have lots of fun together.”

She will be fronting a news, talk and entertainment show looking at the day’s news with a mixture of live and recorded location reports, together with celebrity interviews, gossip and banter.

The show launches on September 14.

Richard Woolfe, Channel Five controller, said: “This is news – but not as you know it. It’s a chatty, forthright spirited magazine. Ian, Melinda and Kate have warmth and attitude – they are a high energy, up front, breath of fresh air.

“For the first time on British TV, presenters will be passionately discussing news events and expressing their no holds barred opinions in a way that reflects the way we all interact and react to the biggest stories of the day.

“With three such opinionated yet diverse hosts, the show is guaranteed to be lively, entertaining, unpredictable, spontaneous and sometimes outrageous and controversial – just watch the sparks fly.

“Every other broadcaster’s schedule at this time is totally predictable and I believe there’s a huge opportunity for a show like this which will shake things up, put Five on the map and get viewers talking about the channel.

“Five has a fantastic record of innovation in news programming and this show will take that to the next level.”

Former Arsenal and England footballer Ian Wright is looking forward to working with Melinda.

He said: “I can’t wait to get cracking on the new series. Melinda and Kate are great girls and I love the banter we already have. I struggle to get a word in when those two get going! It will be high energy, fast-paced and a great laugh.”

Kate Walsh, runner-up in this year’s Apprentice, added: “Becoming part of the presenting team on the new show is an exhilarating and thrilling challenge – and I love a challenge!

“I can’t wait to get stuck into daily live TV, and the show promises to be a totally new way of reviewing the day’s news.

“Ian and Melinda are both consummate professionals and great fun, and I’m looking forward to bringing a bit of me to the personality of the show.”

Gordon Ramsey's wife aims for Dancing on Ice
By Julia Pearlman, Mirror.co.uk 18/08/2009

Gordon Ramsey’s wife, Tana, is hoping to make a forward-cross into TV as she waits to find out if she’s landed a spot on Dancing on Ice.

The mother-of-four is hoping that her skating was up to scratch after a trial run at Streatham ice rink last month.

Seen wobbling her way around the ice rink, Tana held on tightly to coach Karen Barber, who’s also a judge on the show.

Meanwhile, Jane Torvill is keeping her lips sealed over the final line-up of contestants.

"Tana's not a dead cert, but if she's as fiery as Gordon I'm sure she'd be great," ice-dancing champion Jane Torvil told Closer magazine.

The final 12 are yet to be revealed, but if there’s one thing that Torvill would like on her wish list is that she could trade her partner in for David Beckham.

She joked: "If I had my way, I'd be skating with Becks. He's gorgeous!"

Tana is no stranger to extreme sports – the mother-of-four regularly runs marathons with her husband.

But this is the first time that she’s ventured into the limelight of television having previously concentrated on producing family cook books.

It’s been a tough year for Tana after her Gordon was accused of having an affair, but she’s fought back with a glamorous new image and is regularly seen with good friends Victoria and David Beckham.

Ramsey has battled to keep his restaurants in business after profits fell from ÂĢ3million to under ÂĢ400,000 last year.

Freddie finds real life ‘weird’

Shropshire’s Freddie Fisher today said it had been “weird” adjusting to life outside of the Big Brother house after he was given the boot.

Freddie, from Market Drayton, said he was looking forward to returning to Shropshire but was enjoying himself in the capital, appearing on Big Brother spin-off programmes including Big Brother’s Little Brother.

The 24-year-old also said it was “really cool” meeting Craig Phillips.

Phillips is the Shropshire winner of the first Big Brother series and entered the BB house during the current run.

And Freddie said he would like to see fellow county contestant Kris Donnelly, from Shrewsbury, again.

Freddie said his time in the house was like being on “super super super” fast forward, with the volume turned up to 200 per cent.

He said there were things that happened in the house that he wanted to analyse and understand.

“The way I dealt with being in that weird surreal env- ironment was by embracing every element of it,” he said.

“When I was in the house so many things were very di- fferent to normal life, name- ly that there is no schedule, there is no sense of time really. There is a clock but you are not really very aware of what time it is.

“For me in particular I wasn’t that interested in the tasks and that sort of stuff.

“I was really really interested in the social relationships and the culture of group that we had going.

“I was so immersed in it and I completely allowed myself, encouraged myself, to completely forget about life before I entered that situation and to discourage myself, to tell myself off almost if I ever thought about what might happen after.

“As a result I think I got a lot out of the experience.”

He added: “I would really like to see Kris again. It would be really nice. We had our differences, we actually did get on rather well towards the end. It’s very very difficult to describe because he has had the same experience.”

Freddie said he had enjoyed meeting Craig Phillips. “It was really cool actually,” he said. “It felt like Star Wars when Obi-Wan Kenobi comes back as a hologram.”

He said it was “quite surreal” watching his former housemates on the show.

O'Leary 'not blown away by housemates'
Day 76, 13:49 BST
By Mayer Nissim, Entertainment Reporter

Dermot O'Leary has said that he has not been "blown away" by the choice of housemates on this year's Big Brother.

The former Big Brother's Little Brother host also told Heat that he does not have enough time to follow the show every day.

O'Leary said: "I know roughly who they are. You have to bear in mind that I'm not anti-BB. I still feel very defensive over it. I've always said it was the making of me and there are some people who work on it who I really care about.

"But I don't know if I've fallen out of love with it. I was there for seven years and I just can't keep watching it. I don't have enough time to invest in it."

He added: "Every know and then, it will be on and I'll watch it and be like, 'Who's that?' But I think it's about casting and I haven't been blown away by the cast this year.

"That's not to say I don't miss presenting [BBLB], because I do. I really miss doing live TV every day and the people I worked with. It felt very emotional at the time because as a job it's the most enjoyable thing."

Susan Boyle heads back to Blackburn with new hairdo

Susan Boyle took time out from recording her album to head home and show off her new look.
18 August 2009 13:36 PM

(Can't get the Hair-do, Hair yesterday, gone today)

Susan Boyle took a break from recording her debut album to head back to Blackburn and visit her council house and friends.

But residents had to do a double take as Susan returned looking more glamorous than the ‘hairy angel’ who took part in Britain’s Got Talent last May.

Dressed in a cosy bright red coat and sporting sleek chocolate brown hair, Su-Bo smiled for cameras and looked relaxed and happy to be home.

One onlooker told The Sun: “She’s had her hair done and looked a million dollars.”

The singing sensation had never left Scotland before Britain’s Got Talent, but now splits her time between Scotland and London. With rumours that an American tour is imminent, Susan Boyle is now quite the jet-setter.

Many believe her debut album could see her earn over ÂĢ5 million. We don’t think you’ll be needing that house in Blackburn for much longer Su-Bo.

Charlotte Church tipped to replace Kerry Katona at Iceland
By Jody Thompson, Mirror.co.uk 18/08/2009

Tuesday morning and here at Mirror.co.uk's Showbiz Towers we're choking on our prawn rings at the news that Kerry Katona has finally got the push from plugging Iceland.

Poor Kezza finally got the chop by the frozen food giant after video of her indulging in some decidedly dodgy-looking shenanigans surfaced at the weekend.

Kerry was filmed with a ÂĢ20 note up her hooter snorting something that certainly looked frosty.

However, ÂĢ20 notes are going be harder to come by for the Atomic Kitten star now Iceland have terminated her contract at any rate.

The big question now of course is who is going to take over pushing Kerry's metaphorical trolley up the Iceland aisles and onto our screens?

Well, bookies William Hill have halved the price of Charlotte Church being named as Kerry's replacement from 10/1 to 5/1 - but the Mirror's own Coleen Nolan is the red hot favourite at 6/4.

However, we can TOTALLY see Charl doing a double act with Col.

That really would be an Arctic Roll-plugging match made in heaven. Poor Jason Donovan won't know what's hit him.

Hilariously, William Hill are also giving Jordan odds as an outsider to step into Kerry's stilletos at 50/1.

We think hell would have to colder than one of Iceland's chest freezers before that happens, however.

William Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams told us: "Charlotte Church has taken to motherhood, like a duck to water and our punters think she would be the perfect replacement."

Other stars in the running include Suzanne Shaw at 5/1, Carol Vorderman 7/1, Kym Marsh 8/1, Carol Thatcher 12/1, Myleene Klass and Emma Bunton 16/1 and Fern Britton at 20/1.

We await the outcome with frostily bated breath.

I'm A Celebrity's Cerys Matthews pregnant

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star Cerys Matthews is pregnant with her third child.

The former Catatonia singer, 40, is expecting the baby in January with her boyfriend and manager Steve Abbott, The Wales On Sunday revealed.

Cerys apparently learned she was expecting four months ago, around the time of celebrating her 40th birthday, but kept the news secret as the couple were worred there might be complications due to her age.

She and Steve, 49, reportedly broke the news to friends and family last weekend, including Cerys' parents Philip and Pauline.

The couple, who have been together since February, do not know the sex of the child.

The Welsh singer is already mother to Glenys Pearl y-Felin, aged five, and three-year-old Johnny Tupelo Jones, with her ex-husband, American music producer Seth Riddle.

Steve - who also manages opera diva Hayley Westenra, Songs Of Praise presenter Aled Jones and cellist Julian Lloyd Webber - has two children with his ex-wife, Deborah.

Cerys - who began presenting a regular radio show on BBC 6 Music in June - has moved permanently to London after buying a house in Holland Park.

But she and her children still spend as much time as possible in Wales, staying with her parents in Trefin, Pembrokeshire.

Cerys moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to live with Riddle in 2003, but returned home when they split in four years later.

In 2007, she appeared on ITV's I'm A Celebrity... where she began an on-off relationship with ex-EastEnder Marc Bannerman, 36, but they split in February 2008.

Big Brother 10: Housemates wake up to a garden full of gravestones - with their names engraved on them

The Big Brother housemates woke up this morning to find the garden of the house transformed into a creepy cemetery - filled with headstones with their names on.

The eerie outside area also contained a bath full of blood and various body parts - included severed hands - strewn across the lawn. Some graves had stuffed crows perching on them.

Sophie asked Siavash: "Have you seen your grave? It's got a hand on it!"

The housemates soon came to the conclusion the gravestones and other scary materials are part of this week’s shopping task.

Lisa was excited, saying: "This is going to be a good, good task!"

She then launched into an off key rendition of Michael Jackson's Thriller, in keeping with the graveyard theme.

Charlie however moaned his gravestone wasn’t in the right place.

He said: "I wish mine was in the sun."

A little later Bea and Lisa pretended to be Zombies and attack each other in the house bedroom.

Siavash also persuaded Sophie not to vote, and Big Brother chose the first two people she mentioned – Bea and Rodrigo – upon leaving the diary room as her choices.

This morning glamour babe Sophie and Rodrigo discussed who would be up for the public vote for eviction – which they will find out later today.

Rodrigo said he was worried, but Sophie reassured him, saying: “You'll be fine even if you're up for eviction. They only vote for people who've done stuff.”

The Brazilian student replied that he had been arguing, mainly with Charlie, in recent weeks, but Sophie was convinced he will be fine.

She told him: “You haven't argued, you've just stuck up for things you've believed in.”

They then proceeded to give each other massages to help them deal with their stresses.

(Oh for a bit of stress eh)
Lucky Lad, he must think he's in heaven, no wonder he doesn't want to leave the house.

I've just had a packet of Real crisps, with Sea Salt & Black Pepper.
Omg, I could eat them all day, sad aren't I.

Anyway, will be leaving work in 10 minutes, so i'll say bye for now, catch you later.

Now I know who eats all the chewy, it must be the non smokers or those that have stopped.

I'm glad I stopped but it takes a lot to replace it doesn't it.
4 months in a few days, my house smells like a scent factory with all the smelly things around the place, it was bad enough when I smoked but it just smells stronger now, well it does to me.

Catch you later, have a nice tea.
And don't miss BBLB at 6pm.Big Grin

And BB H/L's are on at 9pm.

Hi Grannyg.wavey

There's so little info coming out of BB10 that I might as well see what else is happening, I just love all reality shows.

I just love shows that haven't got a script to follow.
And you don't get 2 takes.

BBLB didn't tell us a lot did it.

Big Brother 10: Bea will be 'Frankenstein's Monster' as part of shopping task

Bea jumped at the chance to take on the frightening role of Frankenstein as housemates decided who would play which character in their 'Little House of Horrors' challenge.

Hyperactive Geordie Charlie went into the Diary Room to tell Big Brother their decision.

Big Brother warned him: "Once you have decided which housemates are taking part in which task, housemates are not allowed to change their mind."

But Charlie interrupted, telling Big Brother he wanted a "challenging, really challenging" role this week before listing which contestant would play each part.

Brazilian student Rodrigo and busty blonde Sophie will dress up at vampires, while Marcus will take on the headless horseman role and David has become a skeleton.

However, cheeky Charlie admitted some of the other roles were far more appropriate.

He told Big Brother: "Lisa and Siavash are going to become werewolves, but Siavash is so hairy he probably won't have to wear a uniform.
"I'm just joking, but he is really hairy though - he's got a hairy back and a hairy a*s and everything!"

The former Mr Gay UK contestant was selected to take on the part of Dr Frankenstein, while Bea will play his monster.

Housemates did not know what their characters would entail before deciding which part they wanted to take on.

Nevertheless Charlie was excited about the task, telling Big Brother: "I think it's absolutely great this Task. Thank you so much."

The Werewolves must stand on a rock in the living room, reveal their werewolf costume and howl with their arms outstretched for the duration of a werewolf's howl played into the house.

Vampires have to hang upside down for seven minutes and Dr Frankenstein and Frankenstein's Monster will take part in gruesome 'scientific experiment'.

The Skeleton, Headless Horseman and Mummies will face their challenges tomorrow.
