I used to like watching Fame Academy as it showed you all sides of the music business Shame it wasn't too popular and only one member really made it into the music industry limelight....Lemar. I hope the others made it as writers though as I thought that is where their desires lay.
That was all for charity as well

My roast was yummy too
No live feed again, I suppose there wouldn't be if they can't afford to keep the forums going
I think they probably all try to seek fame and fortune now But hopefully you'll get your wish for good twists
they're delicious ain't they. Thats so true lol , they do and BB always think this makes the best TV at the start it was about a Social Experiment with different personalities now it's about being famous. Twists are what make the show great with of course the housemates. But BB will probably end either after this series or a year or two more .

Yes they are very yummy especially when prepared by someone else although I don't eat the meat, just have extra veggies
I started watching big brother for the psychology aspect but that seems to be waning somewhat
I did see a really interesting experiment some years back on bbc about sleep deprivation that was really interesting. This one was also live feed and the contestents/ Guinea pigs really were only there for the experience of the experiment.

Nighty Night Suzie.
Sleep Tight.
BB will never be the same again, the HM's are far too wise now and know they will get their 15 minutes of fame, and a few will get a lot more but not many.
They are running out of tasks, they have used so many up over the years.
But if there's no live feed on the Puter and secret channel then I can see it being the last one, can't see how anyone will be able to know what's going on, we'll just see highlights which will be a waste of time really.
Just a false representation of what is really going on.
Evening.
Sorry to hear about your ear Suzie.
(not a pun, 'onest)
Glad your banquet went well Hicky, even if there were more guests than expected.
I had a reasonable day. The weather stayed fine until this evening.
My Brother is OK, but largely confined to the couch, although he can get about with one crutch.
He's in quite a bit of pain at the mo, but must start excercising his knee straight away.
He thinks he'll need at least a fortnight off work, and it may be longer before he can drive.
He's in a management job anyway, so can do quite a bit over the phone from home.
We had a nice meal anyway, prepared by my sister-in law.
Steak pie, potatoes, broccoli, peas and gravy, with fruit pie and custard to follow.
Usually it's my Brother that does the cooking when they have guests.
No idea what the forecast for the week is, but I hope it's warm and dry?
Night all.

Suzie...hope your ear is better today. Glad you enjoyed the grandpa and his grandaughter on BGT. That is what is so great about that show, there is such a mix of acts. I thought the older man doing the Irish dancing was sweet too.
Emptybox.. glad you had a good day out yesterday. Sounds like you were well pampered food wise there. Good job your brother can do a bit of work by phone, because it sounds like it is going to take a while for him to be 100% fit again. I hope the pain will ease soon for him. I take it you have that book in the photo? I saw Immogen on a local Welsh tv show recently, and she worked hard on opening her own nail bar in Cardiff.
Hicky..what a nice busy family day you had yesterday. Glad they enjoyed their lunch. I tooo decided on making a roast for the family, I cheated with the chicken, I got a ready cooked one from Sainsburys. But they all enjoyed it.
Darloby. hope college goes ok today.
to Mike and KingKev. hope you both had a good weekedn.
OH and I dropped the kids off at the cinema yesterday to see X Men yesterday, they all enjoyed it, and we enjoyed a browse around the Designer Outlet there, while they saw the film. I din't buy anything, but OH got himself a shirt form Petroleum for ÂĢ5. Very nice, it was, it said "Sample shirt" on the label.
time for me to do some jobs before brekkie.
have a good day all.

Hi Mollie.
My Veg seem to be doing well anyway, no need to water., have had to fit them all with a snorkel.
Oh it's raining again now, I thought it was April we had the showers?
I'm going to make some more Honeycomb toffee and Treacle Toffee as well, need some more Fudge and Nut Brittle as well.
My O/H has taken her car in for it's first service so i'll have to run her around until she can get it back.

Yes you certainly haven't had to worry about watering your veg lately.
Sounds like you have a busy sweet making day to come. I bet your wife won't mind the cooking smells today.
Hope you aren't too busy playing taxi. Does it mean you have to get up early, to take her to work, whilst her car is in service?

Hiya Peeps
Hearing is a bit better today thanks, I now can hear stuff like it's under water
Emptybox
I'm so pleased your brother is well on the road to recovery. Sounds like a lovely meal although I would forgo the steak pie
Hicky
I think that when a pyschological experiment is done to try and repeat it there are bound to be huge differences as the "Guinea Pigs" wise up to what is expected of them.
They really need to do something so completely random that it isn't the same environment. A bit like the sleep deprivation one I was telly Darloboy yesterday.
Mollie
I thought the whole show was quite entertaining and that girl street dance group were brilliant I'm looking forward to seeing the next stage.
Hope all of you had a great day

Hiya Darloboy
My day was hard work as well but that was due to peeps keep changing their minds at what they wanted to go out the door today
Also did some of my favourite type of work ... prototypes
I see you made it into your 6000s and your appreciation thread must make you really glow inside
, nice comments by everyone but I feel a bit embarrased , haven't even thought about this place today until I got back from College was too busy with work for the exam .
Hi Suzie.
Glad your hearing is better, shouldn't you see the Doc or a specialist, hearing is so important surely they will do their best to help you.
I didn't like it when they did the Sleep deprivation tasks on BB, it is an awful thing to do, i've suffered the same thing at work before today and when you consider that the mind starts playing games on you I think it is a far too dangerous thing to do with the HM's.
(Basically because the mind can play tricks such as telling you that you can fly etc) and it can have disastrous consequences.
But most of the tasks are purely to make the HM's look ridiculous.
I don't like them to be short of food and toilet paper, I can't see how they think that is funny to those watching.
Can't wait for my Lad to get here for the curry at 7pm, i'm starving.
The recipe is, for those interested.
Half a Jar of Madras curry paste, a quarter of a Jar of Vindaloo paste.
2 Large Onions, 3 large peppers, 1 yellow, red & green, a large tin of tinned Italian tomato's, chopped up.
6 medium button mushrooms cut into 6, a couple of Chili peppers, deseeded.
1 Kilo stewing steak.
Fry the meat in a little oil just to brown a little.
Add a pint & half of water, add the curry paste, bring to the boil and simmer for 1 and half hours.
Put all the veg cut up into a large pan, pour the cooked meat and curry into the pan, stir and bring to the boil again, turn down the heat and simmer for half an hour.
Put 8 oz of Basmati rice into a large pan, add 3/4 pint of boiling water, stir once, put lid on pan, bring back to boil and simmer for 12 minutes, if water not all absorbed boil for a few minutes more.
Enjoy., I know I will.

Evening Hicky
I saw a specialist about 2 years ago and they said for my GP to keep an eye on it but that's been happening all my life so to me this is relatively normal, although still frustrates me greatly as some people are not very tolerant with an unseen disability. I'm sure most of them think I'm just being rude or something, maybe I should have I'm hard of hearing tattooed on my forehead
I can understand your concerns for sleep deprivation as I am aware of the impact on your health this can have, also your state of mind. BB has had an increasingly very cruel nature to it and I hope this year is the last one.
That curry sounds something my daughter would really enjoy so will pass on the recipe for her
Would it work well with monk fish? I love curries but often wonder if I could make a fish one, I usually have prawn so a change would be nice

Hello all.
Glad your hearing is a bit better today Suzie.
An Apreciation thread for darloboy? I'll have to look into that.
Hi mollie.
Yes, of course I have Ash's book. I've read it now, and can thoroughly recommend it.
It's mostly about her life growing up. There is a small bit about BB and afterwards, but it's mostly about her disfunctional family, and survivng in the tough London environment after she left home at 16.
Hicky, I had meant to mention that Liverpool book signing to you, but it went completely out of my head. Don't suppose you are too disappointed to have missed it?
Enjoy your curry.
It's been showery all day today. Just when I thought I was going to get out, along came another shower.
However, I've got a huge pile of ironing done, and last month's accounts.
Also got my scanner to work with Windows7, which it was refusing to up to now.
