I think my sister's life style certainly helped Big Grin She's travelled all over the world and taught in schools in America, Germany and Italy. She currently lives in a spectacular apartment overlooking the sea in Praa sands, Cornwall.
Also she has shown my daughter exactly what the teaching career can entail. So there will be no surprises. What's really sweet is my sister has offered to help with finances while daughter's at uni Big Grin

It is really going well for my daughter at the moment I just hope she doesn't run out of steam Laugh I'm so glad my sister has taken an interest in my daughter's future as she is her Godmother as well as her Auntie. Also my sister has no children of her own so helping my daughter will help the next generation in my family Big Grin

I hope you also have plenty of family around to help you out too Hug

Glad to hear you have the support you deserve Big Grin

I can imagine quite a wide variety of interests and careers being discussed in your home then Big Grin

Yes Laugh Nod. I love having a big family you're never on you're own, but it's sad for those who don't or are on their own Frowner.

I loved it too although mine is not a big family just lots of friends that used to popping in. My married life has not been so blessed with having a house full.

I feel the same way as you and always hope those people have very special friends to see them through their good times and bad ones Frowner

Well I never, the sky's have cleared and the Suns out again, it was like a monsoon ten minutes ago, how quick it changes.

Well I didn't have to water the plants this week, they must wonder what is going on.

Just waiting for the Chickens to finish cooking, everything prepared now, spuds are roasting nicely, we have mash as well for those that aren't so keen on Roasties.
We aren't eating till 2pm anyway.

I see Suzie is an Angel, what's the difference between that and a Fairy?

Afternoon Hicky Hug

Just got back in so you're probably still tucking in to your dinner Big Grin

Sounds like we're having the same kind of weather Laugh can't really decide whether to risk Looe or not so will postpone it for another day Big Grin

The difference would be that one is mythical and the other is spiritual Big Grin depending on your beliefs of cause Laugh

Hi again wavey Smiler. Just had a good shower lol and can't wait for the Sunday Roast later. It's sunny here now after all that rain. BGT was better yesterday, glad I skipped half of Eurovision Laugh, how the hell did Norway win, their song was rubbish.

I see you have a growing fan club Laugh

I've not long finished watching the repeat show of BGT It was a really good show this time wasn't it Big Grin
I really don't know how Norway won as I thought there were far better performances that were deserving winners Nod

Big Grin. Yeah BGT was better, but it's obvious Susan Boyle will win who I think has been too overhyped already and it's not fair on the other talent. Norways song was rubbish, some of the others were better. Uk did good to finish 5th though.

I agree with you on Susan but hope we are very wrong. The talent was really good this year and we don't really need another Paul Potts. Not with all the variety of talent in the show. I really don't understand the need to vote for your neighbours. Do they really think war will be declared if the points don't go to them Eeker 5th was a a good position much better than last years anyway Big Grin

I hope we are wrong and she doesn't win Nod Big Grin. The other talent haven't had as much look in as her which is just wrong as they should be treated equally but it's all about making the money for Simon Cowell. It's all Political about the Eurovision obvious neighbours will vote for each other.

It would be very nice to get alot more variety rather than peeps looking for how much profit can be gained. Surely it should be about the honour of performing for Her Majesty Eeker
The Eurovision is probably best viewed for all of the performances and the voting best forgotten

Peace at last.Big Grin

Well more than expected turned up, I'd already made extra on the spud front, and it started out as a dinner for 2, went up to 6, then 2 more arrived as i'd forgot it was Sunday, was thinking it was Saturday, anyway another 3 arrived as well, so with 11 of us it stretched the spuds a bit far, plenty of Chicken because we had 2.

I'm worn out with keeping 3 little ones amused, seeing that 1 is 2, 1 is 4 and the other is 6, another 3 young ones looked after themselves by playing games or on the xbox.

Just a pity it kept pouring down every 20 minutes or so.

As far as BGT is concerned, think there is a lot of Talent this year so think they all have a chance.
No idea how you select the top 12 or so, glad it's not me that has to do it.

Don't think Norway should have won, but no-one has ever tried to make any sense out of the voting anyway,

We did well to get any points as often we get very few.
Whether it's got anything to do with the song or the singer I have no idea.

I cant believe there can only be one winner, there should be at least 5.
And Simon Cowman should give the money to charity.

When this show first started I did say to my OH that there should be 2 shows one for the professionals and one for the the peeps that come on this show some of them are absolutely amazing Nod

It's like all these shows that are judged by voting, the winner isn't really the best, it's just the one that got the most votes, and as the votes aren't one vote per person then it's pointless really because someone could win by not having any backing except for a few pepole with a load of money to spend on voting.

That's why there should never be only one winner, maybe the top 4 would be better.

I see your point Hicky and yes I agree with you. Even some people I know have spent an absolute fortune on trying to get their favourites through, so I guess it's more about popularity rather than talent which is a crying shame for those who lose.
