Had another very busy day at work but have managed to finally completely sort out my room, catch up with the paperwork and put the cutting work load in some sort of priority order
Have over 50 cutting tests to perform what were they doing last two weeks for goodness sake. I guess it goes to show that company really need me there to keep things on track

It depends on the reason your internet is playing up.
Either your ISP or a bad phone line, many things.
But the lack of Fibre Optic won't make much difference to us, for out normal requirements to use the web we need very little in terms of capacity.
Most restriction of speed is caused by the small bandwidth or overloading of web sites, your speed on a site is controlled by the site, it's got nothing to do with speed of your line or the speed of your computer.
Most computers these days have ample speed of hard drive/memory and the CPU in normal running only takes about 10% of the computing power, the other 90% is just idling.

Hi Kev.
Sometimes you need to turn the BT hub off by pulling the low voltage plug out of the back or pressing restart.

Most of the wireless hubs get in a knot now and again.

Most of the download speed isn't controlled by your computer it's controlled by the site you are downloading from.
So if you have a faster line on certain sites it wouldn't make any difference.
When the whole world is Fibre Optic then we may be OK.
But that's a long way off as it's so expensive to install.

Hicky with the peer to peer sites I can get 700kb/s max when there are a load of 'seeders'. In the early hours of the morning though, seems to be faster then.
In Japan they have massive download speeds I've heard.
Imagine being able to download a gigabyte in a minute. Streaming video's and watching tv online would be amazing quality.

You will probably get good download speeds in Japan because their infrastructure will be pretty new and all fibre optic, so will the web sites and the houses, because the speed of any system is only as fast as it's slowest part.
Which is usually the web site., because they can't afford the bandwidth like Microsoft, you can get a good speed downloading from them.

Yes indeed B of E just agreed another load of quantative easing, can't remember if that brings the total up to £150 or £175 billion! Looks like they wont stop until our currency is completely destroyed, or the imf downgrade the country.
