Evening. Smiler

Was working today, to make up for yesterday, but was rained off in the afternoon.

It takes just under 2 hours to get across to my Brother's mollie, and my Dad is coming as well. Smiler

Don't suppose we shall move far from the couch, cos my Brother's on crutches unsurprisingly.

My oldest Nephew is just about to take lessons on the guitar at school, and he wants me to show him how to tune it.
I can just about do that.
I've had guitars since I was 11, but I've never got round to learning how to play it properly. Blush Big Grin

My nephew already is very good on the drums, so i think he's going to be musical (he's 13).

We seem to be doing better than usual at Eurovision, but I didn't particularly like the song myself.
Haven't been listening closely enough to have a favourite.

Blimey Hicky! Are you going into commercial production of this fudge then? It must be good. Cool

wavey Emptybox...
a fair drive for you tommorrow then, in one day. Hope it is not pouring with rain. That is handy that you can help your nephehw tune in his guitar. Smiler My OH also has a guitar, that he cant do a lot on. He learnt when he was younger, and meant to carry on, but never got round to it. Big Grin

Remember, about 3 weeks ago on our old forum, me saying to you that I thought this mp's expense thing would develop, and maybe bring the government down? Well, I was listening as normal to Talk Sport last night, and it was just full of the public phoning in, showing their anger, and calling for an election or the queen to step in and close them all down. I still think this could happen. I wonder ??? Confused

Hope you have a good day tommorrow. xxx

That cannae be bad. Cool

Not sure what they all saw in the Norwegian song? the fiddle playing was good, but I didn't particularly like the song.
I think I liked Iceland best. Smiler

I quite like it, I guess it was a typcial Eurovision type winning song though.

At least we did a lot better than we normally do. Smiler

Hi fairy _suzie. Thanks for your good wishes for my wee brother. Smiler

The trouble is mollie, that all these politicians have had their snouts in the trough for years. Mad
It must be the first thing they are told when they get elected.
"Here are all the expenses you can claim. But keep schtum about it".

If there was an election, who would you vote for, cos they are all the same. Roll Eyes
There's European elections coming up, and I wouldn't be surprised if the turnout wasn't disasterously low.
The MEPs have probably been exploiting their expenses even more than the westminster ones.

Still, I think it's better that it's all come out. Perhaps things will change fron now on? Disappointed

there was a woman mp on the radio today, and she said when she was fist voted in , many told her as soon as she started that she could get to make a nice packet on expenses, but she thought it wrong and never got a 2nd home. Shame there are not more like that. I heard George Galloway on Talk Sport say he had no expenses at all either except for a few staff he needed. No 2nd home, no travel nothing. I think they are in the minority.

As you say, not much of choice of who to vote for, wish we coud get rid of every single one of them, who had cheated the taxpayer though.

yes hopefully things will change now.

Hi Mollie.Wave

The little ones love our Sunday Roast, plus we have loads of toys of course, i'll be kept busy all right.

I'm making a Curry for one of my Lads on Monday night, have got all the ingredients anyway.
Will be using stewing steak.

I believe that Sainsbury's big local store by me where O/H works wants me to make some sweets for them for the celebrations at the end of the month, it's their 140th Birthday or something.

Big Grin you will never get to retire Hicky, now you have started making all those delcious sweets, and the word has got round. What do you fancy making them ?

I bet your lad will be glad to come to you for that curry. Smiler I remember you saying your wife was not keen on spicy food, does she eat the curry or prefer something else ?

I think they want Treacle Toffee and Fudge or maybe Nut Brittle or Honeycomb Toffee I'll have to check next week.

My O/H doesn't eat curries or anything like that, she doesn't eat any type of sauce except gravy.

I thought we did very well in the Eurovision lark, better than we normally do anyway.
Hicky
Good morning all wavey
Had some very heavy showers here today all ready.
Hope it is dry for Suzie's walk on the beach, and hope Emptybox has a good day out at his brothers...

Hicky...enjoy your day with your visitors. Hope the roast dinner goes well.

Don't know what we are doing today, may take the kids to the pictures as it looks like a rainy day today. I will look round the shops while I wait if they go there.

Brekkie time for me now.
cheese and tomato on toast. Wink

Thank you Mollie for the hug Hug

The ear drops usually work. It does creep up on me during the night. Although I don't usually suffer any pain just alot of puss in the ears. The annoying thing about it is the loss of hearing and having to keep say "sorry I didn't hear that" or "Pardon, can you speak up".
Never mind we all have our ailments and I hope this will soon pass.

I am glad, at least, it does not give you pain, but it must be very frustrating that it makes your hearing problems worse. Do you have problem hearing the tv ? Do you ever use the system that you can read the words on screen?

I often use that when it is noisy in our home, and I am trying to follow Corrie. Big Grin

Sometimes I do have problems with hearing telly but I'm not really into it that much. If I do want to "listen" to it, I can lip read to a degree not brilliantly but enough to get the gist of what is being said.
We don't use the subtitles as it annoys OH. He ends up reading the titles rather that watching what's on Laugh

Good Morning Mollie & Suzie.Wave

Pouring down with rain here, looks like it's in for the day, my plants will be treading water at this rate, poor mites. Eeker

I've been peeling spuds this morning, but had to peel more because i've got another 2 visitors as well, anther of my Lads with a little one as his Mum is going to see Girls Aloud tonight it seems.

Not good about your Ear Suzie, wouldn't have thought ear drops would clear an infection up, thought they just helped loosen the wax to clear the passage.

Morning Hicky Hug

Well your plants certainly are getting alot of watering today Big Grin

Your sunday lunch is really turning into a family affair isn't it Big Grin Plenty of conversation and good company today then Nod

I've been using this type of ear drops for years and as long as I catch it at it's early stages the drops seem to work. I suppose cleaning out the ears in this way doesn't allow the infection to take hold so I then don't need the antibiotics.
