Hicky, been reading about your poor elbow, sounds awful, glad to hear it's slightly better and thank you for your impartial Big Brother news, it's a really good read.

Well, will post later, after good tv programmes!

Hi and Welcome PinkBabe1966.wavey
I think we have a lot of Lurkers on here, but it's ok, a lot of people are shy and don't want to jump in.
But it's fine to do say, the more the merrier, as long as everyone is civil and can appreciate that we all are bound to have different opinions about everything.

My elbow seems slightly better today anyway, swelling has gone down a lot since yesterday.

Hi Mollie, I can see that, it's lovely the way you all talk among yourselves and respect the differences, and the way you have a support system, I just really like it. I'm finding the main forum a little intimidating at the moment, apart from the footy thread, so to talk to nice friendly people will be lovely. Wave

Hi Mollie.wavey

The nasty Blue screen eh, glad it's back on.

Swelling has gone down a lot, but didn't look as though much had come out, but it felt strange this morning, and had my normal movement back which is a good thing.

I have total respect for others views, something you don't always find and to be honest am finding the main board as I have just said to Mollie a little intimidating apart from the footy thread, where, everybody supports different teams, yet respects everyones elses opnion and have sensible and grown up conversations.

I'm glad to hear your elbow is a little better, I broke my wrist a few weeks back and then got swine flu so haven't been able to go to the hospital to have it checked out. I phoned them today to say I was now clear of the swine flu and they are going to send me an appointment out to have the plaster checked and give me another x ray. I'm hoping it can come off and just have an elastic bandage on my wrist as it is itching like mad and getting on my nerves, fortunately it's my left wrist and I'm right handed but it's amazing just how much you use your left hand!

Hi PinkBabe1966.wavey
That's awful getting Swine Flu after breaking your wrist.
Hope the plaster can come off, it's so difficult to manage with one hand.

And I believe the plaster does make it very itchy.

I get itchy with just a bandage on.

oh dear PinkBaby, sounds like poor you has been having a bit of bad luck lately.

Did you feel really ill with that swine flu? How long did it last?

I had flu in 2008, and felt awful, took about 3 weeks to get over it. The only good thing about it was I lost over a stone in weight. Laugh But what an awful way to lose weight it was. Eeker
M
Sorry wasn't ignoring you all, yes Hicky it's horrible just having one hand to do stuff with, especially when my hubby gets on my nerves and I can't throw anything at him!! Even though I am right handed, I strangely throw things with my left hand!

I am just watching Corrie at the moment, can't get used to the Thursday night episode, it's really strange, it's always been on on Wednesday nights at 7.30 ever since I can remember! Will be going to watch New Tricks as well at 9, another favourite of mine, it's a really good programme. Have to say though, moving Corrie and giving us the 2 episodes of Emmerdale has made Thursday a good telly night!

Mike you like cats then, do you have one? I have three, all little girls. Two litter sisters called Arnie and Gizmo who are 9 now and little Fudge who is 2 this month. I also have a greyhound who is gorgeous and loves our settee.

I will be back after New Tricks so see you all in a little while.

Mollie, yes it has not been a good time at the moment. The swine flu lasted 2 weeks and I really did feel dreadful, in fact reading the forums and this thread especially helped me as I couldn't get to bed, I had to stay on the settee for nearly 2 weeks.

I still have quite a bad cough and am very tired all the time, but I am not sleeping well, it has really knocked me about.

I have lost weight as well, in fact I have a pair of track suit bottoms on which fitted me ok before the flu and they are hanging off me!

It's nice to lose weight, but I would have rather not had the swine flu at all! Big Grin

Norris makes me laugh as well, Mollie, I like most of the older characters especially Blanche, her one liners can have me in stitches! I want to see David found out to be the trouble maker he is and I'm not keen on Joe either.

I have watched Corrie all my life and think it is the best soap on the telly along with Doctors on BBC1 in the afternoon. I can't miss an episode of that, in fact last week my husband had to miss the Ashes for half an hour so as I could watch Doctors!!

that was good of your hubbie to miss the Ashes so you didn't miss your Doctors. Smiler I have never watched that , but have watched Corrie as long as I can remember.

oh yes, Blanche is brilliant. Laugh I met Ken last October when he came to our local theatre, and he said he just loves working with Blanche, she is such fun. he was lovely, I had my piccie taken with him. Smiler

Sounds lke you did have a nasty dose of that flu, I too had to sleep in a chair for 2 weeks when I had flu, could breathe properly if I tried to lie down. I think it is normal to feel tired for weeks and weeks with flu, my cough lasted ages too. Hopefully it will clear soon for you now though.

That's bad news being banned.
I was just thinking, with all the powers that be trying to stop them getting into the UK from France, that it may be quite easy to get from the UK to France, don't think they would ever look for someone trying to break out of this country.Big Grin

And the customs post between France and Belgium has gone now.
But if you stay on a Hotel in Belgium they have to have your passport to show the police at night, they go to every Hotel in Belgium to check who has booked in for the night.

But you never see the Police on the roads, they only go out when there's a pile up to collect the remains.

Big Brother stars work at new club night

Big Brother 7 housemates Nikki Grahame and Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace have signed up to work at the launch of new London club night Celbriparty.

Fellow ex-contestants Dale Howard, Kathreya Kasisopa, Darnell Swallow, Rebecca Shiner, Luke Marsden, Stuart Hosking and Sylvia Barrie will also make appearances.

Celebriparty, held at the capital's IndigO2, will allow the public to see stars working the door, serving drinks and performing as DJs. It opens with the Big Brother-themed night on September 5.

Tickets for the event are available now and cost ÂĢ12.

Hi folks. Smiler
Sunshine & showers.

Nice to see a new face Pinkbabe. Cool
Swine flu? That doesnae sound good at all. Frowner
But at least you've had it. You won't get it again if it becomes more virulent later on. Smiler

Glad your elbow is improving Hicky. Smiler

You must have panicked this morning Mollie, not being able to get your laptop to work. Good job your OH and son were able to get you back on-line again. Thumbs Up

BB
Not really liking the look of this Isaac bloke, but it's early days, I guess?
Wonder how he'll be if Noirin is evicted on Friday? (hope she is)
I think Bea might make a play for him? She seems to want to cast herself in the mould of 'troublemaker'. Big Grin

Hi Emptybox.wavey

It's early for you, makes a change.
It looks like most of us are going to get Swine Flu before it goes away, maybe getting it early will be a blessing, not sure about that.

This Isaac feller is very direct isn't he, don't think the others will like that, doesn't look as though he will stand any messing.

Can't see him staying if Noirin gets evicted, no point.

I just wish they would all keep their nose out of everyones business, can't believe what they are like.

hi emptybox...

just talking about you in my last post, and there you were. Laugh

dead right, I did panic without my lappy today. Laugh Still I got lots of jobs done round the hosue instead, and loads of washing dried.
Hope it didn't rain on you today.

Yes i hope Noirin is evicted too.
dont think Isaac will be bothered if she is evicted or not on Friday. Sounds like he is well versed on the ongoings within reality tv.

Bea makes me laugh, full of mishief she is, but I cant help but like her, because I dont think she is malicous. I think she looks very pretty now her hair is shorter too.

Yes Hicky, he was early there, he likes to keep us on our toes, you know. Laugh

I read somewhere today that swine flu is unexpectedly running out of steam now, so fingers crossed it dies off before winter time.

I think Isaac has gone in there for his career, not Noirin, so will stay, unless he has been paid by C4 just to stay until she leaves?? Confused

I'll hold off sending my cheque just yet, cos although Ash has been asked to this, she hasn't decided wether she'll accept yet. Wink

I can't work out Bea yet. I get the feeling she's acting the way she is because she thinks it'll make her a more interesting housemate?
I can't warm to her anyway. Shake Head

Hi Hicky.
I think Noirin is only a very small part of why Isaac is here. Big Grin
