Evening guys. Smiler

Been a wet day here, so not much catching up done.

Luckily it meant I was in when the guy came with the power supply for the computer.
I've fitted that, and the computer turns on fine, so it looks like it has solved the problem, but I'm quite annoyed.
The description for it said it had 6 4pin molex connectors and 2 sata ones. However it actually only has 3 molex connectors, and I need 4 for my set-up.

I've sent away for a splitter from Ebay. It's just a couple of quid, but it means I've got to wait for that to come before the computer is fully operational again. Roll Eyes

I bought the power supply from Ebuyer, which is a reputable shop, but obviously the specs of the thing have changed and they haven't updated the description.
Not worth me complaining though.

Although I don't like Kris, it was nice to see the pics of him and Karly out.
It was obvious they would meet up, and I think they might have signed with the same agent.
Nothing going on though, I wouldn't think. Smiler

Oh yes, and my Dad and Aunt and Uncle are away on their trip, so I've got the place to meself for a few days. Big Grin

Hi Emptybox.Wave

Can't you just splice a 4 pin Molex from your old supply.
Just cut a couple of plugs off leaving 6" of wire, strip the cables to one of the Molex cables on the new PS, wrap the wire round and secure, tape it over.

It's only 12 volt at about 1 amp for a hard drive so it should work no problem.

Or if you have some 30amp mains connectors you could use those and cut the wire and insert the 3 ends into the 2 ends of the connector.
As long as you connect the same colour together it will work fine.

I can quarantee it.

Well if you manage to go to all those places, and do the garden too, you will be needing to go back to work for a rest. Laugh

It is nice you have so many places nearby to chose from to visit. Smiler

Thanks Hicky. I didn't realise you could just splice them together safely. Not very confident with electrics.
I'll remember that for another time, but as I've already sent away for an adaptor, I'll wait for that.
It converts one of the sata power connectors into 3 molex ones, so I'll have more than enough. Big Grin

Hope you manage to get some work in between the nurses. If you see what I mean. Wink

Thanks for your offer as well Mike. I'm not that sure what I'm doing either, as it was my first computer build, but it's not too bad when you take the plunge inside the case. Smiler

Bet you're looking forward to your break Suzie. Cool

I like having the place to myself mollie.
When my Aunt and Uncle were here, they go to bed early, and the spare room is next to mine, so I couldn't play music or watch the telly late at night. Didn't suit me at all. Frowner Big Grin
They'll be here again for one night on Saturday before heading home.

BB. So Bea is going to attempt the Hippiefication of Mr Tong eh?
I think she'll have her work cut out. Big Grin

And I think there's been stuff between Noirin and Siavash that we haven't seen. They seemed to be continuing an ongoing conversation? Bit of a spark there methinks? Glance

Kenneth's staff paid ÂĢ100k a year?
Day 49, 14:50 BST

Kenneth's staff paid ÂĢ100k a year?

Housemates have attempted to work out the monthly salary of Kenneth’s employees.

After Kenneth revealed the pay of some of his staff earlier today, David, Charlie and Rodrigo discussed how much they would be on a month.

"Some of his staff are paid ÂĢ100,000," said Charlie.

"How much is that a month Charlie - ÂĢ12k a month?" asked David.

"It's nearly ÂĢ10k," suggested Rodrigo.

"No, it's ÂĢ12k, isn't it?" said Charlie.

"No, it's ÂĢ8k," added David.

Charlie confidently said that it was ÂĢ12k, which David eventually agreed with. "I’d have to work 14 months to earn that," he said.

"I would do anything - I'm being honest with you - I would do anything to earn that," said Charlie.

"Imagine..." added Rodrigo.

Bea meets her date in Greek task

Bea has been on a date as part of the Greek-themed shopping task.

For the latest challenge, the recruitment consultant has been transformed into the goddess of love - Aphrodite. She had to record a dating video to which members of the public were invited to respond.

Big Brother selected Robin from Bea's home city of Bristol to meet up with the housemate, who seemed pleased with her chosen companion.

"Oh my goodness, you're gorgeous and you've got lovely manners," she gushed.

The couple discussed the club scene in Bristol, while Bea talked about her passion for festivals and camper vans.

The island of Ibiza also came up during the pair's brief chat, with the contestant saying: "I'm going to move there and open a vintage clothes shop, and I want to start a sex retreat."

She added: "The vintage clothes shop will be like a hobby. I would be doing couples' therapy."

Bea then started to talk about ley lines: "Apparently, there's this unseen grid and where the lines cross at certain points, it is a very special place.

"Apparently, Nostradamus mentions a little rock in Ibiza that if the end of the world happens, this rock will be the last place to go."

Bea: 'I'm happy to be single'

Bea has said that she has more fun outside of a relationship.

During an introductory video recorded before entering the house, she described herself as being happy to be single.

"I’m happily single," she said. "I think you have more fun when you’re single, I certainly do.

"I’ve had lots of long term relationships, but I think the lesson that I’ve learnt there is if it’s not right, move on. Don’t hang around in a situation that isn’t perfect."

She also said that despite being a Libran, she is "not particularly balanced".

Bea, who recently described her perfect date as part of this week's shopping task, has been attracting the attention of Freddie during her time in the house.
