Hi Suzie.
It's been a smashing day here, Sun all day.
Planted the rest of my Toms & Peppers and Beetroot, it was too nice a day to waste.
I've just got to find somewhere to put 3 Toms that I have left, have got 13 big Pots full and the veg plot, so not sure what to do with these now.
I just heard that Katy Price & Peter had split up, i'm not surprised if they have, all they ever seemed to do was argue, she must be a nightmare to live with, feel sorry for the little ones though.

Hiya Hicky
Glad you managed to do your planting. I hope you don't have the howling winds that we have down here though. I would dread to think where your cold frame would end up
Maybe you could sell your left over plants to another keen gardener.
It's always the kiddies that end up the victims in these things. I hope they will have all the support they need though

I've secured my coldframe down better now in case the winds pick up again.
Don't think anyone would want to buy my Tomato plants, they are only 99p each anyway.
I'll have to get another grow bag and plant them myself.
A job for Wednesday.
I'm waiting for my new Computer room furniture to come now, tomorrow or Wednesday, it's all flatpack so i'll have to build it all myself.
I've got 2 Computer desks now, but my O/H mustn't like them, not sure why.
I put the new Curtain Rail and Curtains up in my new Puter room today, so it's all ready for the furniture now.

Good to hear it's nice and secure I would hate for it to end up flying across your garden again. The grow bag seems like a very good idea.
It sounds like your new little office is all set then what colour are the walls.
I used to have an office but then they needed it as another bedroom so I lost it when I left college. Never mind when I win the lottery I'll have to buy a house with a huge office so I can have a office/ library, I have loads of books which are all kept in boxes as there isn't enough room for me to have them all out in the bookcase I have

The colour of the walls is Soft Cream, my O/H papered it first with a heavy type of chip paper that you paint after it's up.
I've got a book case coming but it's not for books, it's just for my many boxes of bits and pieces that I have collected.
Hello .

Oh that sounds quite relaxing, neutral colours are supposed to help the imagination It's good that it's texture though as I think it would be quite bland. I expect you will be putting up paintings or photos though won't you? I had all my certificates on my walls and of cause pictures of fairies
What kind of collections do you have OH collects Eddie Stobbard lorries and anything Freddie Mercury I'm sure he adores that man more than me

I think most students are busy at the moment with revision and getting assignments done. I have quite often heard my daughter about and on the printer until early hours of the morning or moaning that it's not sinking in yet. I'm sure you'll all do just fine. As long as you do your best that's all that matters.
I'm pleased to hear that the little one is doing okay Have they named her yet?
It is the busy time .

It wasn't too long ago I was doing the same I know I was a late learner

Oh absolutely and we're not all academic geniuses either
Hello all.
When I was at school I didn't revise cos it never worked. I either knew it or not and just relied on my memory.
I did pretty well btw.
Hope everyone's good.

Hi Kev , some people in my year were like that some just couldn't be bothered, some revised before the exam .

Hiya King Kev
As Darloboy said everyone learns these things in different ways. The reason I was a late learner was that my deafness was frowned upon when I was at school so I didn't do very well. I went back to college in my late thirties and did much better
I hope you've had a good day today by the way
darloboy I was a bit lazy, mostly with homework, but the thing is when I understand something I remember it for ages. I can still remember some physics and maths* equations
*same thing really
When I write something down I can recall it easier.
With phone numbers and PIN numbers I write them down and then throw them away. It works.
Hi Suzie.
My boss's dad is deaf and he was put in a sort of a home because of it. It was in the 40's I think when they're tolerance for anything was f*****d.
Really glad your doing well for yourself.
My day has been so so, not done much at work, I'd rather be mad busy as the time flies but it's still good to take it easy.

Luckily for me mine's only partial deafness. One of my ears totally packed up when I got the measles. Will probably be deaf when I'm old and wrinkly so am considering going to a sign language class, need to find some money for that though first.
I hate days that drag like that but then I think about how lucky I am to have a job at all. Also I'm lucky enough to land myself a job I absolutely love doing.
I'm so rubbish at Maths . I was better in other subjects. I was so happy with my GCSE results I had done better what I was expecting and the teachers was well proud of myself. But next month is the next stage in getting new qualifications.
I went on to do A-levels and couldn't be bothered, it all got on top of me and I left after 6 months.
I did only do em though cos of parental pressure, so...meh.
Suzie I'd love to able to sign, it would be so cool to be able to have a private conversation with someone who's on the other side of the room. Wouldn't work though would it if everyone knew how to lol.

Sign Language is brill , it's pretty hard to learn (I don't know it) but there was some Deaf students in my class at College and they do pick up on things that are said and understand you but the Interpreters do a great job .

It would be rather cool But for me it could be a very real prospect of being the only way I can communicate Luckily my daughter said she would go with me

Some people's lips are very easy to read also some words are as well. Alot of lip reading is done by working out what the key words are as things like Pill and Bill look very much alike so you have to look at the rest of the sentence and use the best fit.
I use lip reading alot when I'm tired or in a noisy room. Obviously it goes without saying if the speaker hasn't got your attention you don't have a cat in hells chance of knowing what was said
just back from scottish slimmers 1/2 lb but at least it is in the right direction

Evening all.
Was a lovely day here, after a very misty start. But sunny and a clear blue sky for the rest of the day.
Only a rather chilly breeze to spoil it slightly.
Glad you've got your veg planted Hicky, and are getting your 'puter room sorted.
Kind of sad that Katie and Peter have parted, although i wasn't a fan of either.
But, as you say Hicky, she would have been a nightmare to live with.
Just watched the double episode of Heroes. That's the last of the series.
What's this about "cutting gear" Suzie?
Is that hairdressing or shipbuilding that you're involved in? Or something inbetween?

Hi Emptybox .
Well I had better get to bed as well.
I don't collect anything specific Suzie, just some files and Computer stuff I don't want to throw out just yet, and different paper for the printer and some electronic gear.
Well Done Yogi Bear, half a pound is a lot anyway, and the slower you lose it the longer it takes to put back on.

Evening Emptybox.
Puter room all ready for the new Furniture which is expected Tuesday or Wednesday.
Mind you i'll have to build the desk unit, it's a corner unit so it's quite big as well.
I'll be able to get the printer and the Speakers/Sub woofer on it as well.

My cutting gear is for servicing utra sound "scalpels" used in key hole surgery. I'm a service technician for them.
