Bojangles, do you like the song Mister Bojangles?
Love it by Sammy Davis Jnr
Is that why you called yourself Bojangles?
No I named a dog of mine Mr Bojangles, but I'm female so have done so in his honour..
O I C, thats very lovely, is your dog still around?
I'm sat here with heavy eyelids in a mist of farts from my present dog.It is now starting to get to me.

Mr Bojangles is long gone, but the song reminded me so much of the sadness you go through when you lose your best friend.
Ya I know the feeling and indeed a song/place etc brings back the memories.
My former forum buddy Bingette got a dog about 2 years ago and she called it after herself..he's called Bing.

I remember Bingette from Ch4 Forums.Oh how lovely of her to do that.
Ya she has actually joined here but said she probably won't post that ofen.
Ya I think Mister Bojangles and Bing are great names for dogs.

Actaully her dog I think is Bingles, not Bing.
I'm going to have to hit the sack. The smell is over the top here now. He's lying at my feet snoring and letting them rip. He's so old now at 16 he must be rotting from inside.Oh God only joking.I love him so much I can't stand the thought of losing him.
Ya I know its a sad time, but 16 is a great age to make. He must have had a true quality life to reach such an age.
He's spoilt, anything he wants he gets. He's had lots of operations in the past two years, but is looking like a two year old now. he's bounced back again. The vet says he's amazing for his age.
I won't go anywhere without him.
I won't go anywhere without him.
Gosh he obviously is having the time off his life. What is the expectant age for his breed?
round abouts 12
Corrr you have really looked after him well. He must be the luckiest dog alive. Must be most pleased with his owner
A neighbour once said"If there is such a thing as reincarnation I want to come back as (Bojangles) dog."
I think I have to agree with your neighbour. Before that though I wanted to come back as a racehorse as they are looked after brilliantly in their stables.
Trouble is only when they are racing and if they are champions.I saw a programme how they are sold on and on.Some were in dreadful states.Frankie Detorie found the horse that he had won on in a poor condition after it had gone through god knows how many owners and was about to go to the knackers yard.He bought it and it now is at his home .It has a good and peaceful life being well cared for.
Ya that is the problem with some. Actually 1984 Grand National winner Hallo Dandy was found in a terrible state on some Lords estate. He was fined loads and thankfully an animal welfare group took him in and brought him right back to health.
Dreadful. When you see those images of those beautiful creatures being so ill treated.
Yes, and all down to just terrible ownership, the animal had done nothing wrong and was not ill.
Exactly.They don't even have a fighting chance.Those B's keep them tethered up.
The sentences are not strict enough for animal cruelty. The continent don't treat there animals very good either.Africa isn't any better.

Ya very true. Whats worse though is I wonder how many horses are sent over to France purely as meat and what state are they kept in on their way over?
They are supposed to be checked.Sheep don't get a very good deal either when being transported to the continent.I wish I could be vegetarian, but I'm a meat eater,I don't really like much veg.
As long as they have a good life and are humanely put down, but are they?
