JLS were in the bottom two once against Rachel Hylton last year in week 7 but ended up finishing second, but overall the answer is no anyone that has been in the bottom 2 did not win.

Thing is we never had the phenomenon of The Twins before. They have changed the whole course of the show.  It's not about singing anymore and I agree with that.  A great singer might not have the 'X Factor'.  
Don't get me wrong I was glad they went tonight but they certainly entertained. 
Sorry Ducky, I don't think Ollie has it either.

Not x factor I know, but Alesha Dixon was in the bottom two in Strictly once, and went on to win.

I liked Jamie as well Stoory.  He was the only one that was different but again he didn't fit in with what Simon Cowell wants.

Their singing isn't their strength I have to admit, so I know what you mean. I just liked them for the performance, a great sense of fun.

I was astonished that Olly was in the bottom two and Lloyd escaped.  Surely Lloyd, the weakest in there, has to be out next time?

Lloyd is getting the teeny girlie vote because he's "cute" even though he is an utterly ordinary bland singer.

Yeah he is cute and I agree with what Louis said the other week, he would be much better off being in a boy band.  Maybe in a few years, he might improve but at the moment he is too weak to be a solo artist.

I don't have any 'proof' or links or anything, but from memory, I am 100% certain that WILL YOUNG was in the bottom two at least twice during the year he won Pop Idol (2002 or 2003...)  I know it's not X Factor but it's still a contemporary talent show.

Why do I think Shayne Ward was in the bottom 2?? no he wasn't. And it says no one who has ever been in the bottom two as ever won.

I can't remember that Moonbeams, although I wouldn't contradict coz I am not sure, but Will almost certainly was to the best of my memory.

I'm not sure that they had a sing off in Pop Idol.

I think the judges commented on each singer, but the viewers' votes decided who was eliminated each week.

I prefer Susan Boyle... sorry wrong show!Mind you I am going to treat myself to her album this week which I might add is most unusual because I have only ever bought the odd classical CD.... Andrea Botcelli for instance, gorgeous voice and he also gives me goose bumps! O and I might just dig deep and buy Enya's new album...... well I haven't bought one for yonks..... I reckon that's convinced me! corn beef on the menu this week!In conclusion although I quite enjoy watching the X factor buying their CDs or voting is a no no for me!
