Yep, I saw it. Very worrying how they turn to violence so easily. It felt like anyone at anytime could end up on the receiving end of a beating or worse. One guy seemed totally OK with violence to the point he said he could or would kill
I saw one last night Aims, was that a repeat of last week? I'm gonna record this one tonight I think.
Or I'll have it on in the background and watch properly tomorrow
Those lads that kidnapped the other lad and threatened to rape him and all they got was an extra 28 days on their sentence

Don't know mate, was there lots of fights?
Yes, that was the one I saw on one of the other ITV channels I think
The guy in the laundry last night seemed to be trying to better himself
I saw it last week, and am watching it now. Very grim

It is, and I'm full of praise and respect for the prison staff, having to put up with something like that.
But I'm of the feeling that if you can't do the time you shouldn't do the crime
See, i might be turning into a bit of a softie though ... I do think that a lot of these inmates had no chance at all in life.
It all seems a bit hopeless ...
And then I think that's a cop out. Did they try to make something of themselves?
Oh, I know ... that's what I mean, it's all a bit hopeless.
they haven't grown up like we did, in good families, with good moral guidance and high aspirations.
And yes, if any of them hurt me or my family I wouldn't be saying this.
Actually, a friend of mine worked at Aylesbury prison a while ago. She taught them to sew, and they all made waistcoats. She said they were so proud that they had achieved something.
I suppose that goes back to your other post. Someone gave them a chance.
I still say though, if they had wanted to they could have broken away from their bad background. No?
Maybe, maybe if someone, somewhere had believed in them ... parent, teacher, friend.
and maybe if they'd grown up in a horrible environment, maybe abusive ... maybe it all seemed a bit hopeless.
I can't believe I'm saying this, i'm usually of the 'hang 'em high' brigade

He was trying
LOL! You are going soft
It won't last!
but jeez, this is grim watching
See, the guy that's on there at the minute (the suicidal tendency) did anyone tell him to take drugs?
No, no they didn't ...
The staff are amazing. I'd rather work in Poundland

True ... I hope it is the closest that I ever get!
Me too

Nooo
I just watched it for the first time. What an awful environment to work in, well it would be for me. Ryan the repeated suicide attempter was distressing to watch, I almost expected to see he finally achieved it when the credits rolled. I hope that somehow he can change, if he doesn't it will end his problems but his family will suffer, heavy stuff in there.
I agree YR ... it sure ain't The Hotel

That's for sure I looked at Mark's FB page last night...still loads of ongoing support for him Someone posted a vid that wasn't filmed by the tv crew but someone on holiday there, it was good to watch something that made me laugh I,and many others it seems, are still missing him and the show

I was shocked at them attacking the female guards
It also made me angry, destroying the pool table, how many youth clubs have those facilities or are closing because of lack of funding?

I don't think they should have them in the first place as they use the balls and cues as weapons
Going to try and watch them in the itv player later tonight.
