Hi there and welcome. No, there is no specific 'Introduce yourself' thread, but if you go into the 'SIT' thread you should be able to meet quite a few people there.
And no there is no specific function for seeing the latest posts, but the wee 'sheet of paper' to the left of the thread/forum title will indicate if there are any new entries in it since you were last there. If there's a gold star then there are new entries. If no star then there are no new entries.

On the whole I think we're not too bad a bunch, of course as with real life we get a bit excited and carried away at times, but fortunately it doesn't happen to too many at the same time or too often. Though it could get a bit more heated at times once BB is in full swing.

I guess the extent of 'messed-upness' will depend on how @into-it' you were. but once upon a time they had Live Feed 24/7 and that's been cut to a few hours on E4 with a smaller amount on C4 now and again and there is/was talk of there being none for BB10. Them the people being selected for BB are wierder and wierder or all of a similar mold. And theres a lot of feeling of biased editing for the one hour Highlights show. You get the picture?
