I've got my electric fire on all weekend, I dread to think how much electricity I've used!

Mine has been on for weeks! It's chilly up here, you know.

I've only got four jumpers and an electric blanket.

Mine's been on, on the timer for about three weeks

I have been away for two weeks so it has been a little easier living in a B&B. Since being home I have found myself wearing an extra layer in the house which has made me think and oh along with the free temp gauge in the kitchen which reads "15 - Dis comfort - risk of chest infection" !!!

But I do understand we are spread across this island and some will be in colder parts.  (warm hug)

Hi Supes. I am not too bad when it comes to cold, but reaching my living temp without heating. I don't know where you live, but in Sheffield it has been reasonably mild, it is now feeling cooler, the forecast is for 8's and 9's.

my heating hasn't gone on yet but it's starting to feel a bit nippy so mebbe tomorrow

You are a pingu, that's why you don't feel the cold so much.

Mine's been on timed for weeks now  - and it's been on most of the day too over the weekend

I flicked the switch on just one radiator. 

Up here, in the frozen North, it's been on for several weeks!

I put mine on last night for the first time as I couldn't feel my fingers 

By, that was daring!    

I was stood by the switch wafting the air to see if it was too cool not to turn on the heating, 28 minutes later I switched it on. 

If the temperature rises at all over the next week then I'll turn it off again. 

N Yorks EC...but was in Turkey until late Oct so really feeling the difference!

mines been on for about 3 weeks, set at 20/21 degrees  I'll be switching it off again when I check this months bill 

Ah, I bet it is a difference too.

I forgot to turn on the main switch yesterday, so I have had another day without heat on, but it's not so cold today. I'm tempted to leave it off another day.

Yes, just insert the word 'the' in-between 'in' and 'Lanarks' and it would do. 

Or just say Lanarkshire! And yes it was frosty in my bit of LanarkSHIRE too!
