No play yet on any of the courts other than Centre Court and Court 1 which have roof cover because of the rain.
Various matches scheduled for today have now been cancelled - the later ones. That includes the Harriet Dart one which is now scheduled for tomorrow.

Harriet Dart lost in straight sets.
The other 3 matches above have yet to start and may not take place today due to rain suspending play again.
Weather forecast for Wednesday to Saturday seem better for Wimbledon.
Could be problems if the organisers decide to use Sunday for matches to be played as there is the risk of showers throughout the day at present.
(as Wimbledon is grass, only a small amount of rain makes the grass too slippery to be safe for play)
Coco Gauff beat Francesca Jones who was almost equal to a player who will probably become the number one in the near future.
The other two British players due to play yesterday had their matches postponed to some time today.
Katie Boulter's second round match against the number two seed Aryna Sabalenka is the second match on Centre Court today.
Sorana Cirstea beat Samantha Murray Sharan in straight sets today in the delayed 1st round match.

Emma Raducanu beats MarkÃĐta VondrouÅĄovÃĄ 6-2, 6-4 and goes into the 3rd round, the only British woman this year to do so. Not bad for the 18 year old ranked 338th who was given a wild card Her ranking will improve by around 100 places at least.
Her opponent is Sorana Cirstea.
The Emma Raducanu v Sorana Cirstea 3rd round match is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) as the first match on Court No. 1.
Likely for the roof to be covered due to the weather. I think coverage will be on either BBC Two or BBC's Red Button channel.

Yeah, was looking through the list of play for tomorrow. Although Norrie is out of the singles, he's still in both the Men's Doubles and the Mixed Doubles and he's playing in both tomorrow. 2nd and 4th matches on the same court!!!!
Emma Raducanu had to retire from the 4th round due to breathing difficulties which may have been caused by stress from the occasion and waiting for the previous match to finish, a 5 setter.

Johanna Konta has had to withdraw from the Olympics due to developing Covid-19. A replacement cannot be named due to no one other than Heather Watson has a high enough ranking so GB can't play in the women's doubles.
Andy Murray is in the Olympics due to being the defending champion rather than his ranking.
All GB tennis involvement ended today. Heather Watson had lost in the first round. No GB duo in the mixed doubles. I doubt if the high temperatures and humidity made it at all comfortable for the British players.
Emma Raducanu back in action at the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic having been given a wildcard. She lost in straight sets against world number 51 Zhang Shuai.
"On the WTA Tour every match is going to be difficult and there aren't going to be many good matches," Raducanu said.
"It is my second WTA Tour tournament. What I learned is how to try and deal with someone when they are playing very well and you feel like you are not doing much wrong but you are constantly on the back foot.
"Stepping up to this level, I feel she just dictated me. If I keep going this way at some point it will pay off."

ITF tournaments don't have as many ranking points as WTA ones so Emma's ranking won't rise by more than a few places,

Edited 25/8/21 - she was suffering from hear exhaustion so not a repeat of Wimbledon.

Emma's coming on in leaps and bounds! Hope she's now managed to get over the Wimbledon upheaval now that she has a bit more experience and confidence.
