Also confirmed is that she's paired again with Henri Kontinen in the mixed doubles - theoretically they could face Andy Murray and Serena Williams in the semi-final.
A good day for Harriet Dart beating Beatriz Haddad Maia 7-6, 3-6, 6-1 to go through to the third round. Her opponent is Ashleigh Barty, currently number one, so the match could get onto Centre Court or Court 1.

The US Open qualifying rounds start today. Heather Watson, Harriet Dart and Katie Swan play their first round on Tuesday so late tomorrow. On paper Heather Watson has the best chance of getting to the main draw. Her ranking has improved a bit as a result of winning the ITF tournament at Vancouver last week.
Harriet Dart qualified for the main draw, the others didn't.
She's drawn against Ana Bogdan, another qualifier whose ranking is similar so she has a real chance of winning that match.
Johanna Konta is drawn against Dana Kasatkina and would expect to win.
Both of those matches are scheduled to be played tomorrow at 4 pm.

Johanna Konta has withdrawn from tournaments in Asia due to "slight knee pain". She is expected to play in the Moscow tournament in the middle of October.
This means that she won't qualify for the season=ending WTA Championships (the top 8) but should qualify for the Elite Trophy (the next 11 + 1 wildcard) which takes place in the Chinese city of Zhuhai at the end of October.
A long time but Heather Watson has had her first big win since 2017. She beat China's world number 22 Wang Qiang in the Tianjin Open second round 6-3, 6-0. She will play Poland's Magda Linette in her first WTA quarter-final since reaching the Hobart Open semi-finals in January 2018.
And Heather Watson is through to the semi-finals beating Polish world number 42 Linette 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (8-6). She'll play Veronika Kudermetova (world number 45).

She'll be back in the top 100 when the next set of rankings are released.

Rebecca Peterson beat Heather Watson in the final 6-4, 6-4. She had beaten Heather in the qualifying stages of the Wuhan tournament a few weeks ago.
She'll be around 87 in tomorrow's rankings. She may not be in any of the remaining tournaments this year as it's near the send of the season and would drop to around 90 if she decided not.
The new set of rankings released today shows that Johanna Konta remains at 11, Heather Watson rises by 37 places to 88, and the only other Brit in the top 200 Harriet Dart rises by 3 places to 130. Katie Boulter hasn't played since the Fed Cup in April so is falling down the rankings.
Johanna Konta has had to pull out of the Elite Trophy due to her knee and won't be playing again this season. She has decided to focus on rehabilitation for the rest of the year.
Hopefully she and Katie Boulter will be back for the start of next year's season.
News today that Katie Boulter has made a complete recovery from a stress fracture of the back, and now feels "no pain whatsoever".
She intends to return playing by being in either the St Etienne tournament or the Hua Hin (Thailand) tournament in the week starting 4 November. Those are ITF tournaments rather than WTA ones. Sensible to resume at that level as it will take time to get back to the form she had been in.
Katie Boulter has returned to playing in tournaments but lost in the first round in Thailand. Lost 7-6 (7-2) 6-1.
She tweeted "âTo get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on steppingâ which is a Chinese proverb.
There's a second tournament at the same venue next week and she's on the acceptance list for that one.
Katie Boulter has won her first round match in this week's tournament in Thailand 6-7(8), 6-4, 6-0.
Katie Boulter back in action this week in the Solapur ITF tournament in India. She's won her first two rounds and is in the quarter-finals. Not a lot of ranking points, it's more important for her to get back into playing competitive tennis. She's in another tournament in India next week.
And she's through to the semi-finals. In the other semi-final is another British player Naiktha Bains so it could be an all-British final. Naiktha Bains is 21 and currently ranked 249th, generally in ITF events.

Naiktha Bains lost the final - the next set of rankings will show her up to around 225. She has dual nationality - Australian and British - used to represent Australia but now would represent GB if selected.
Although Katie Boulter won her first round match at Pune in India, she withdrew from the tournament so didn't play the second round. Don't know why at present.
Laura Robson has had a second hip operation to try and get rid of the pain - she's been unable to play since April. She hopes to be back on court soon but can't wait until she's able to walk her dog without limping.
Johanna Konta is hopeful that she'll be able to play in the Australian Open in January. She's had a knee injury most of this year, a bit like tendonitis. She'll only play if she feels able to.

Harriet Dart has qualified for the Australian Open. She joins Johanna Konta and Heather Watson who went straight into the main draw and Katie Boulter also into the main draw because of her protected ranking when she was injured.

In the Open, Johanna Konta is drawn against Ons Jabeur (ranked 85) and Katie Boulter has a tough draw against Elina Svitolina (ranked 6). Not yet known who Harriet Dart is against as the 16 qualifiers have yet to be allocated in the main draw.
Also announced today is that Johanna Konta won't play for GB in the Fed Cup due to her injury last year and is trying to prolong her tennis career. She's not retiring from the Fed Cup, just for this year. Katie Boulter may or may not be able to be in the Fed Cup. So a lot is going to be asked of Heather Watson and Harriet Dart in the Fed Cup which starts on 7 February with an away qualifier against Slovakia,

Better news - Harriet Dart is through to the second round after 3 sets against Misaki Doi. She lost the first set 2-6, won the second set 6-4, and eventually won the third set which went to a tie break which she won 10-6. She's got a very tough second round opponent, the 4th seed Simona Halep.
