She is/was a tiny Bengal, the "runt" f the litter. I only had her 4 months from from 10 months old and spent allthat time training her to be used to my dogs and them with her. she would come racing when i called and we talked herfunny talk of ranges of "WOW" rather than miow. Only slowly let her go out and I live right in the middle of no where but yesterday when i got up she was missing. i just knew. walked up and down the lane calling and calling, looking in hedges and ditches then when i went the other way saw her fur. just stood staring and had terrible chest pains. kept willing her to move but i knew she was dead. she was just out side my fence. i think she was getting on so well my other cat, Santa, she was following him every where and he goes in the dyke.
night before fprayedhad  trained her not to go beyond it as have lots of land. just cannot stop thinking if only this, if only that.. i should not have let her out, I always got her back in no matter how late andSanata but i left the window open. I always said take care, be careful.. its my fault I know.
Santa followed me all the rest ofthe day and when i was trying to dig a hole he climbed in it.
I wrapped her in a nice blanket and put her favourite toy with her, a 6ft snake with a bell onthe end.. sorry, know this si not BB but I need to write about it.i have put a curse on who ever did it that their car will combust. This is a little pot holed lane yet they drive like maniacs. Why? i don't understand..it ruins cars because ofthe ruts and pot holes andwhy did they not at least stop, knock on my door, say sorry?

awww I really sympathise with you ..exact same happened with one of my cats this time of year and at the same age too..

6 weeks later the other one (same age) got hit by a car as well but he  managed to get back home using only his front legs as he had  a smashed pelvis. . [I remember I was LUTTing a BB eviction at the time and heard his cries as he pulled himself thru the catflap.. BB always reminds me of it]

I  nursed him back to health and he now climbs trees and is manic and mad. .but still I go call him in if he's been out too long cos i am scared he'll go near the road again . . even tho I have seen him run inside the minute he hears a car...

it's gut wrenching when you just know it's not going to be good news  when one goes missing. . you get that gut feeling in your stomach..

all I can say is have one of these

I'm so sorry to hear your dreadful news - your poor cat
Please don't think that it's your fault - it's not, believe me, it's really not - there is nothing you could have done short of locking your cat permanently in the house which would have been impossible.
It's little consolation, but your cat probably died instantly so would have known nothing.

Your news brings tears to my eyes as I witnessed a similar event a few months ago, but the driver then did stop and was prepared to accept responsibility.

It's awful news sorry to hear about your cat

It happened to my friends cat the cat was a housecat and got out one day my friend was at her wits end knocking all doors rang all the rspca centres they told her they thought a cat of her description had been brought in but it wasn't hers and then a lady knocked after seeing her poster and had saw the cat had been knocked down.  My friend was distraught

Its so sad to lose a pet even though some people don't understand

Croc.. I shall call it what I feel. The way people drive here and I am sure in many other places, but I can only commnet on what I see all the time. Lots of young drivers get killed up this way(fens) as all they see is long straight roads. thefact most are lanes, single track and bad surfaces and most have deep dykes at the side makes them very dangerous; they also belt down the lane at the side of my property and don't stop when they turn at a right angle, so yes, its murder.
I don't personally belive inthe power of my curse but thinking it, saying it,makes me feel better.
if he/she/they had stopped and knocked on my door, that would be something else but the crule indifference, well, what can i say.I hate them.

I'm so very sorry

I get annoyed with people that bomb around the back roads here..  and I mourn the wildlife roadkill I see.   I am uber careful at this time of year... its bunny season... they are everywhere.

And even though I feel like this, last week as I was approaching a flyover (over the A12) doing 40mph (in a 60mph zone)... a baby bunny shot across the road... I slammed on the break but luckily it made it to the other side of the road...  and then it turned back and ran under my back wheel!

I was gutted...   I turned the car round when I could and went back to look, but it was dead.
