Was the last series on BBC4 series 3, Carport?  Confused now. I thought it was series 2, as Eugene suggests. Or did you get Series 3 somewhere else? Answers please sirrah!  But I agree about Borgen and dare I whisper it, I thought The Bridge was even better than The Killing!

1) Yes: a 4th series is due in France later this year.

2) Yes, definitely. Apart from being very good in their own right, the series don't exist in a vacuum: each series feeds into the next. In particular, some events in series 2 cast a long shadow over series 3...

Thanks Eugene! I think I've got it clear now!

But just to be certain.. they are repeating series 2 then (which I haven't seen. I think!)

same goes for Borgen

Series 2 of Borgen won't be shown on BBC4 until January next year.

DR1 are currently filming the 3rd (and last) series.

Spiral: I've been digging a bit more into this. BBC4 have been doing quite a bit of catchup for Spiral, as a lot of people (such as my parents) only came in on series 3.

The pre-release date for the series 4 box set was given on Amazon as 23rd July, but they're now quoting a release date of 5th November. Now I'm not saying this is what they're planning, but there's plenty of time for BBC4 to show series 2 and 3 in sequence and still be able to broadcast series 4 before the DVD release date...

No not really,I watched it that way and enjoyed it so much I bought series 1 and it did add to the character understanding...but the plots are seperate

I would agree with Angelsword.

Seeing it from Series 1 helps as you'll understand more of the charcters' backgrounds (ClÃĐment and Karlsson in particular go through major arcs through the 3 series), but plot-wise you shouldn't have any real problems.

yes it is - when I skimmed over it at first I read it as 10 - 14 quid per series.     I'd  not mind paying it if I thought I'd unwrap the cellophane before 2024....

Is anyone going to tell me why redhead lawyer's got no money then?
