It's happened a few times, but out of about 70-odd threads I have started since I joined, there's only been about 6 or 7 where that has happened, and TBH, I think it's coz folk don't notice it, or there's only 3 or 4 on at that particular moment paying proper attention. I don't think everyone on the forum would PURPOSELY snub someone... If you cheekily bump it back up, someone usually posts on it then.

Ah, but in all honesty did they deserve to be ignored......what were they about?

Yes: On at least two occasions.
I get a pathetic response to my threads.
I think I get an average of 5 responses.

I'm like the guy in the novel 'Independence day' who finally realised that he must be doing something wrong.

It used to be worse on the old forum, especially on eviction nights when you could post a thread one minute and be on page 3 two minutes later. There seemed to be some sort of unwritten etiquette about how many times you could resusitate your own thread and I got a bit of a telling off once for overdoing it.

My threads were so popular I HAD to stop doing them. Wasn't fair on the rest of the forum

In fact, the response I get is so nugatory, so pitiful, that I don't even expect any response.

i suppose if you have 6 threads on page 1 then some of them might get overlooked or you might just bump ya self on to page 2

It's not being silly, Contessa. There was a bad clique mentality on the old C4 forum . . . it wasn't too bad here when this forum first started, but when the old clique signed up here that was that - regrouped!

They don't bother me, either - I was merely suggesting that the reason a person doesn't get replies is simply because they're not one of the recognised disciples! In fact, 'clique' might be too grand a title; 'flock' would be better as they are more like sheep than free-thinking individuals!
