I've strayed once when my x had beaten me up too bad and I needed to have some human contact. It really back fired on me though because the guy is the 'nice' person in he village and nobody believed me until I had the black eyes.

The clever abusers will not cause cuts and bruises in visible places. Polo necks in the summertime can become a staple item for the wardrobe.

Cos while he knew damn well what he'd done, he would never admit it to you, or anyone else. He would tell you its your fault, and that you should wear sunglasses so people wouldn't have to see how out of order you'd been to get the black eyes. They're very clever people, and it's not always on a physical level, either.

One thing I now believe; if you can't be grateful for what you have, be grateful for what you have escaped. x
