Recently, the forum has been quieter than usual during the day, and I have sometimes felt that I am here on my own. It does seem worse since the recent changes.

I'm probably being a leeetle paranoid here but every time they 'fiddle' a few more don't bother, I think I see a pattern although why they would want to discourage us I don't really know

It's hard to tell, particularly since we can no longer see who's online.

I don't think i'ts any worse, it has been quiet during the day, the changes have actually been for the better, the forum is running a lot smoother and faster, happy bunnies now me thinks.......

i think it's quieter, some of the topics haven't been replied too since yesterday afternoon  unless its just my homepage that is wrong

Your homepage isn't wrong, Aimee. At one point yesterday, I had replied on four threads. Nobody posted after me for absolutely ages. I felt like the thread killer.

Since i've come back as a regular user I can't believe how quiet it is....but then I'm just as guilty as anyone else of not contributing cos quite often I get sidetracked by Mindjolt games on FB

It does seem really quiet during the day, and sometimes it isn't much better at night.
I believe a lot of FMs went over to Facebook when we were having lots of problems posting here, and they haven't returned now things are better. We also don't get an influx of newbies either, because I don't think anyone knows we are here.

No its not the sort of place you could just stumble upon....and FMs slagging it off left right and centre (not talking about anyone in here) doesn't help either really.

As for poeple sayiong about problems I really can't comment cos i've not had any

There were a few problems with posting Croc, but that was possibly when you were away. They do seem to have fixed things now.

I know people were saying about it when i first got back but i was fine..mabe we should all spam up other forums/other places we post with links to here

No nor do I really..only FB...i used to belong to loads of forums but pretty much stopped posting on most of them...and poeple on the other know about her anyway

I live in hope that some will come back when BB is on in the summer.

I had huge problems here until the recent update, and now the entire Gaga bit is running like clockwork for me....although I don't come here much any more....sidetracked by FB games

Quite a lot of FMs are on FB, busy with 'farming', Mafia Wars, 'zoos' etc and seem to spend a lot of their time with that.

Awww Yogi I can't get on here as much in the morning as I used to cos of RL..... in fact not usually until the mid afternoon.... but I like the new layout. However, I do think perhaps people who are not particularly happy with forum life anymore , uses any change as an excuse to bow out .....so we probably have lost a few more FM's.....

Yeah: I think the real problem was the increasing difficulty in posting just prior to the changes, rather than the changes themselves. Quite a few FMs were getting frustrated with the slowness of Darnell Towers, etc.

I like the new lay-out. I think it is an improvement.
Now that I know how to do it, I can see who is "Online Now" very quickly. I can get there in a flash. I think having it on another page makes this page look tidier. You can see it in just one click.
I think we always have a lull every year, and always feel anxious about it. As long as some forumers keep it ticking over, I suspect we will see many return for BB.
And then, of course, there is that inevitable thing - change. Change is a certainty, and some forumers will no longer be here for many different reasons. By the same token, new ones will arrive (hopefully.)
But I prefer the new lay-out.

Unless something has happened to my computer, the layout hasn't changed very much has it?  Surely not enough to put anyone off?  I've never really understood why people like large fora - I feel much more comfortable posting somewhere where I know most of the members.
