Don't talk to me about ladybirds
Aimee!!! You've just reminded me that I had a dream about ladybirds last night!! There was 3 or 4 of them on a pane of glass right beside me.
Apart from that umm, no haven't seen a ladybird in years.
Funny you should say that, we were on the Kent coast this week and there was loads of them, my grandson even asked where they had all come from....these were orange ones........
I've seen one in about the last nine weeks I think Mind you, my gardens 'not built' for it
Lee Hazelwood's got one.
hahahahahaha!
DUCKY!!! They are all gonna come for you!

we have loads of those little buzzy wasps as well, can't sit in the garden at all
Seriously though, I like the little ladybirds!
I have loads in my front garden, they seem to huddle around the door waiting to come in.
Oops, I can't seem to talk about them without making them seem scary today!

I've just googled ladybird pics and there are some lovely looking ones. The black with red spots are very pretty. There are some scary ones too though

No, flying ants about a week ago, but other than that, no!
I remember the summer of 76..we had huge drifts of them on The Wirral, they were being shovelled away by the council and they bit you..they were floating in the swimming pools and in the sea....

There's a nest indoors somewhere in the conservatory and the poor flying ants didn't realise the door was shut (how could they, they're only ants!) when they went on their propagating mission. A lot of the little buggers ended up being caught in spiders' webs. Still, who needs more ant nests!

It must be one of my earliest memories (unless there was another year like it) cos I was only 3 in 76..... but I remember being out for the day and my mum buying me an ice cream and it very quickly becoming covered in ladybirds.
