I used too like them but when there are hoards of them landing on your head, you start standing on them  not me of course

There's a nest indoors somewhere in the conservatory and the poor flying ants didn't realise the door was shut (how could they, they're only ants!) when they went on their propagating mission.  A lot of the little buggers ended up being caught in spiders' webs.  Still, who needs more ant nests!

It must be one of my earliest memories (unless there was another year like it) cos I was only 3 in 76..... but I remember being out for the day and my mum buying me an ice cream and it very quickly becoming covered in ladybirds.
