yip means the tuna was caught on a line and not in a net as the nets often catch dolphins as well and a while ago there was a bit of a "stink" about how many dolphins were caught in their nets and dying,

I remember when I was a child my mum used to pay in all year for a Christmas hamper, there was alway's a tin of Turtle soup. (Which we never ate coz we'd send them to the harvest festival)
