I've always respected Harriet Walter. I remember her from the Peter Wimsey detective series back in 1987 when she played Harriet Vane. I think it is likely that she was made a Dame because of her long association with The Royal Shakespeare Company, and her performance in the theatre play Mary Stuart in the last year or so.
A piece of trivia - she is the niece of Christpher Lee.

Yeah I remember that series El Loro - it was running quite recently
I like her too
Although I did have to google the name to remind myself who she was. I recognise her face well though...... but I'm trying desperately to remember the one thing I know her best from, it's on the tip of my tongue and it's driving me crazy!!!
Google hasn't helped so far.....

Oh...it's ok. I think it might be Sense and Sensibility (the Emma Thompson one).
