I'm more disgusted in the wording..no proof and I doubt there would be, just held back enough not to be dragged through the courts and sued. The Daily Mail isn't fit to grace an outside toilet...and I hope this smear campaign is its downfall...its an evil untrustworthy heap of recycled paper.

By the way, I would say that about their tactics whichever side of the house of commons their targets sit.

they should be ashamed-but theyre not

I think at the very least they have shown a complete lack of judgement Pirate ....the trio that is ....not the DM

its a shame another paper didnt make this story headline news

people might take it seriously

im not saying them in title thread are pervs

i doubt that they are

but they championed PIE

they wrote stuff that agreed with them

and to me

that is sooooo wrong

that trio got into power yrs later

Harman put her name to one or two documents from the NCCL pushing for changes in the law on child pornography

Not a fan of Harman and company but lets hear the evidence(if any) against them first.

its a 70's story that's been dredged up time and time again Erin...8 points in front and nearing an election...Daily Mail up to its old tricks

NCCL should never had taken affiliation fees from PIE that was a major mistake..

I know what they printed Pirate...I have read it, but the document I saw was nothing to do with lowering the age of consent and as far as I have read they lobbied for that in 1974, two years before Harriet Harmen joined. Don't be daft, we're not going to fall out

Jack Dromey is my MP - he's scared of me because I've let him know in no uncertain terms what I think of Labour introducing Atos to us grrrr

anyhoo I take anything the Daily Fail and the Telegraph say with a pinch of salt as they are both Tory rags - the Daily Fail seems intent on unleashing a lot of spurious claims against labour MPs or their family - Ralph Milliband!

It's all done because there's an election looming

Totally fascinating. I'm old enough to remember this particular story, and I don't recall any official support for the people concerned. I'm at a loss to understand why it has been brought up again. The more rabid amongst the internet punters seem to suggest that the Labour Party are somehow stained as a result. However much as I detest the DM I admire their work in the Steven Lawrence case. There are still stories to be told though, and if this is a sprat to catch a mackerel then good luck to them. For example, every time the children's homes stories are hinted at, a silence descends. If the truth ever emerges, and I doubt it will in my lifetime, it won't only be Labour politicians called to account.
