I can't decide whether to go for an ornate brick wall or a nice box privet.

 

 

We always had a box privet when I was young ....used to spend hours stripping the branches with my fingers and making dolly tea

Box privet is good for the reason Sainty stated but it could fall victim to box blight and you’d need to trim it.

Not much upkeep with a wall but it’s the more expensive option.
