I hate red nose day and avoid any telly to do with it. Let's see - a load of wealthy zelebs nagging ME to cough up instead of sticking their own hands in their pockets... no ta.

I also hate red nose day. Dont know why, but i reallllllllly hate it. I used to hate seeing lenny henry plastered all over my telly making insane noises, so maybe he put me off. I shall be staying in and being unbloodyfunny!
Oh, and I'm the same with Children In Need.
A pox on all of it, especially Terry Wig-on, who gets PAID to host a charity event. At least all the other zelebs are doing it for the publicity nothing.

As I've avoided all red nose stuff, I don't know what you're talking about.
But I'm willing to bet making malteasers fly isn't as much fun as just eating them.

I made it to tesco (the big one as well ) without once being stopped by a gaggle of middle aged school girls or having a single bucket jingled in my direction.

You are supposed to fly the maltesers, not ........oh never mind
My daughter's friend just whacked her one while excitedly playing on the wii. The sight of blood had them screaming.
I said well that's the best red nose i've seen today, and the tears stopped

Yes, nose bleed wasn't very long. Thankfully.
I have locked everyone in and virtually wrapped them in cotton wool after the day i have had. This was just the icing on the cake.

I think Red Nose Day is a nice human gesture towards people who need help, but I don't want to hear Mosquito Nets this year. They are cheap and, if last year was sucessfull, every child in Africa will have one now.
Those adverts on the red nose programme are heartbreaking, that one just on had me

I think Comic Relief is committed to making sure the money goes to the people who need it. They seem to have many things ongoing that constantly needs running costs. Their eye hospitals are wonderful. Watched the programme last night and the man who had his sight restored was so lovely (the celeb treck) Have to say tho, i thought Lorraine Kelly was going to drop dead, good for her doing it

why do you think that?Donate to a regular charity is what I say
This was specifically why red Nose was set up - to cut through the red tape and go directly to the causes. Why would you doubt it - have you looked at the website and seen how the money is spent?

I have family that go out to the third world countries - they work throughout the year - I do see the good donations do - but I would be much happier if ALL the money donated was spent where it was supposed to
