LOL at this, I too have often wondered what the heck Zac is doing there! Ducks some of my favourite apps: Shazam, (point phone at any music source and it will tell you what is playing and who is singing, sometimes you can even get lyrics too if you want to sing along);Star Walk, (point phone to sky and you can see all stars, constellations etc and what they are,); Maps.(basically a free sat nav and they've upgraded it recently so it talks to you too, only downside is it is that Siri bloke who talks to you!); Watch Stream, (watch TV on your phone) and agree with Ditty re flashlight,  has come in really handy a no. of times

Have fun!

Ooooh! Thanks Supes! I definitely need that. I've lost count of the times I've heard a song and desperately try and remember a line of the lyrics so I can google when I get home, only to have forgotten it by the time I do

Mind you, I can google on the move now.

I'm getting the others you mentioned too!

Including Flashlight....which somehow I missed Ditty suggesting. I'm not distracted in anyway, honest.

Ducky

Last night my radio alarm come ipod docking station broke. I went on 'flashlight' upgrade and uploaded an alarm clock which I then linked to my itunes.  So, this morning, I woke up gently to Pachelbel's canon in d rather than that alternative horrible screaching beep beep sound. Oh, and the snooze feature, (essential in my case!) was achieved by just giving the phone a little shake, bloody marvellous and all for just 69p

Omg! That's perfect!

I use an old mobile as an alarm clock anyway....so that I can actually have it in bed with me when on "snooze" (I don't like to stretch too far...)

Good... so now it's a pink , fluffy Iphone case then!

Pink leather.... close enough.

But at least now I can take it out of my bag with something nearing pride.

Ducky

I was soooo careful with mine when i got it, i used screen protectors for a few weeks, was constantly wiping it and wouldn't let anyone touch it. Now i'm lucky if i can get it off my 2 yr old who is always talking to Ginger the cat or talking Santa!

Although the past week has been potty training (for about the 3rd time) and i'm very scared she will wee on it at some point

Good in my book, no showing off that you can afford the best Mine's in a cheap as chips 10 quid butterfly theme cover, but I'm now rather tempted to get a fluffy pink sock! My sis' was going nuts when recently visiting her and we were taking pics on the market: "Put those bloody iphones away, they'll think you're rich and charge you 3x more"

LOL, I have a nephew, (8) and a niece, (5) who are allowed 1hr of 'screen time' a day: that's tele, computer etc. so when I visit they're battling for my phone to have their hour on that!

My 8yr olds boy and 10 yr old girl constantly ask to play on it too...My most used saying recently is 'My phone isn't a piece of communal equipment! It's mine'

The 2 yr old managed to call 999 on it the other day how i haven't got a clue as my phone book is always on recent and never on keypad.

I have no experience of the wee and i-phone combination but I do know of the devastation when realising the i-phone is floating in a glass of alcoholic refreshment

But fret not - bag of uncooked rice can save the day.

Just pop the phone in a bag of uncooked  rice and leave for a few hours or overnight depending on how much of a soaking it got.

Facebook Messenger for iPhone gets voice calls in  UK

Published  Monday, Mar 25 2013, 12:57 GMT
Facebook Messenger application that does not require a Facebook account

ÂĐ Facebook

Voice conversations can be held  between friends over 3G, 4G and WiFi, but conference calling is not supported at  present.
To make a call to another Messenger for iPhone user, users of  the app need to open a conversation with that person and then tap "i' in the top  right hand corner, before selecting Free Call.
When users call someone a  push notification appears on their screen saying they have a call  incoming.
Facebook Messenger's voice calling function is not powered by  Skype, despite working in a similar way to the Microsoft communication  platform.
The Facebook Messenger app is available to download from free  through iTunes.
