LAMB!!!   we will be having roast lamb again  (I have already taken advantage of the half price lamb once this week!!   I do love me a bit of roast lamb!!)

and AJ likes the bone  (only we have to use a stool to retrieve it from him when he has eaten all the meat off it...    like a lion tamer, cos he tends to get a bit feral when we try to take it off him )

Thank god its a nice day, because I have 30 decorative eggs that i am planning on going out with lil gyps and hanging from the mini trees in the garden.  Then Im going to drive round and deliver the cookies i made last night (instead of Easter eggs), They were made with whole cadbury mini eggs... yummy!

On Sunday (if the weather is still nice) we are having moroccan veggie pie thing followed by creme egg cheesecake.   No chocolate eggs for me this year, we decided to buy each other something other than calories.

I hope you all have a lovely sunny, relaxing and happy Easter.

Oh, I'm not complaining!

She will ply me with drinks, while she cooks.

Thats not so bad really.

My friend went to dinner at her MIL one Christmas and when her dinner was put down it was cold , her MIL asked her if everything was alright and she told her that her potatoes were cold .Her MIL then put her finger ino the middle of the potatoes and agreed that they were indeed cold, took the plate and put it in the microwave and then returned the "hot" food back to the table for her to eat .

She also poured out Port  and when her son drank it, his mothers earrings were in the bottom of the glass.

Ditty is going to be sooooo pleased with you!

She's been wanting to come over and say Happy Bacon Day to everyone

Happy Blasphemous Bacon Day Ducky!!!    (apologies to the Christian people... no disrespect intended...  just the fallout from a row I had with my Dad 20 odd years ago about the hypocrisy of being a Christian one day a year & trying to stop me have a bacon sandwich cos of it)

The Kafflick church is trying to bring back the fish on Fridays rule. I've told my mum that I shall only eat Lobster and Beluga Caviar on Fridays, from now on.

Well ........we've had fish and chips today. Mr Woo alwats gets very excited on Good Friday (his busiest day) there's a bit of competition between the shops. He gets a whole variety of fish in - Sea Bass, Halibut, Monk and lots of other stuff. We've had Rock and chips - no one oop North eats Rock so it was a bit of a treat and a blast from the past.

An added bonus he also won a name card - a huge box of easter eggs and chocolate goodies! Daughter made some gorgeous cup cakes - I'm all pigged out and haven't even had a Hot Cross Bun yet!

I'm making a Hot Cross Bun bread and butter pudding for Sunday.

Happy Easter everyone!

For the first time ever we haven't got anything planned today. I am however, planning a big family lunch for Monday and can't decide between salmon or gammon - so might just do both!

Getting ready for the arrival en masse of the French Twinners tomorrow. A big weekend planned - I have two old friends staying but will only cook breakfasts. I will be out and about and have to take puddings. I'm making Lemon Tart and a Salted Caramel and Choc mousse cake for tomorrow evening and taking Hot Cross Bun Bread and Butter pudding and double chocolate cheesecake to a lunch on Sunday (daughters making the cheese cake) - fingers crossed it all turns out well.

We have a party night on Sunday - Mr Woo is catering (Salmon and cold meat salads etc.), a trip out to York on Monday and a meal booked at our fave restaurant on Monday night - pheeeeeeeeeeeew. They leave on Tuesday morning!
