Happy birthday to World Wide Web Congratulations on getting to 25 years old and I wish you many many more years

 

Tim Berners-Lee wrote his initial proposal for www in March 1989. This was revised in late 1990. The very first website was built at CERN (where the Hadron Collider is) and was first put online on 6 August 1991.

 

That first website has been re-created by CERN and can be seen throught this link:
