Coolest:
At the risk of dwelling in the past, I have to say the live web chats in the early days. I got to chat with Aisleyne, Nikki and Lesley (BB8)! Getting the chance to chat with Aisleyne was the most exciting at the time, but with hindsight the best was with Nikki; I'd never been that keen on her in the house, but she was absolutely lovely.
The event with Greg Grunberg from "Heroes" was also pretty cool, but I didn't actually speak to him in that one.
Funniest:
Also related: it has to be the failed attempt to organize a live web chat with Krap Kris from BB10. Kris pulled out of it at short notice: the rumour at the time (largely propagated by yours truly ) was that either he or his agent had done a brief recce of the forums - with particular attention to the contents of the Troll Tank - and that as a result decided that a live chat here might not be in his best interests.
The Troll Tank in itself was often hilariously funny, even if you usually felt the need to take a bath afterwards.

Oooo yes ...the Troll Tank is definitely one of the funniest reads....especially when you can't sleep It's amazing how uptight we can all get at times
I'd forgotten about the chats!
Ah, yes....the Troll Tank....
Eight years? Where did that time go?!
I guess we should all take a minute to thank Bov who, while the rest of us were running around like headless chickens, actually sorted the situation out
I'm with Damish ... the best thread ever here was Queenie trying to do some topiary on her lady garden before having to display all whilst she gave birth. For me tho, the best part of that thread was, interspersed with her attempts at immac and epilators, Darlo ... desperate to up his post count, popping up at random intervals with a smiley emoji ... whilst every other male fm had run for the hills!
I'll echo Rexi, Bov was the star of the show... The waxing, shaving lawn mowing thread....I'll try and find it and bump it again tomorrow, I looked earlier quickly and didn't find it.

I looked for a bit longer, and couldn't find it. No clue why not, though. Anyone know WHEN it happened? There's a lot of content to search through.

it was just before she had her last child Lori, we can pin it down before that. I was going to search tomorrow using keywords like, waxing, lady garden and the like if you get my drift
I DEFinitely get your drift.
Remember waaaay up there ^^ when I said I'd learned so much from you all? I'd never heard the term "ladygarden" before then.

I blame Queenie, I didn't know what it was either
*maybe midwife was in the thread title* it's driving me mad
Well, that narrows it down...July of 2009, I think. I found 2 threads about the midwives, and a reference to the episode, but the actual...event must be in a different thread.

it could have been two or three months before she gave birth Lori.
I'm going to leave it in your capable hands and hope you find it before tomorrow I know that if you do find it you'll know you've hit upon the right thread
