Baz, It didn't get shown on television in the UK until 4 October 1969 so some 3 years later.

This scene had me going when I first saw it.

Ironically, I just bought Star Trek: Wrath of Khan again today as one of my buy 5 for £30 blu-rays.

Landmark series.  Still prefer what's known as 'TOS' The original series, but I guess that's a bit of my generation.  Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scottie, Sulu and Uhura were iconic IMO.  The other incarnations of Star Trek didn't come close.  I always felt underwhelmed by those subsequent series.

I've recently tried to sit through the remastered versions of TOS with indifference but I expect that's because I recall the plots so well.  Never the less those shows were the best of my childhood.
