Not a physicist but yes, Aluminium and Lead are indeed elements in their own right, were they to be combined we'd be talking about an alloy (metal compound).

I find 'tory anarchist to be quite an interesting position actually! If I had to label myself I would say I am 'libertarian left' As such I often find I have more in common politically, with those on the libertarian right than I do with those on the more authoritarian left!
