guess he was having a down day and wanted a cudle and no one was prepared to cuddle him, although i think, he had a drink said things he later regretted and embarked on a damage limitation exercise
I pretty much hate them all every night
Bless him, I know what you mean. I think we can do without seeing that sort of thing
Very cringey indeed. Hes desperate for a bit of affection and closeness and when you are desperate its often pretty repulsive to people.
What would give him a real boost would be a smart, well educated new HM that fancied him,his confidence would rocket and hed be a new man!

ummm but there is a cuddle and cuddle
have to say, last night was the first time i gave any credence to karly's and lisa's claim that he is a big game player

You could be right there Amy. I don't think they need fancy him tbh, just put a HM in there that is going to like him and give him some attention.

True
I think a number of hms were behaving oddly on last night's HLs. Probably a mixture of missing F&F, too much alcohol the night before, and hangovers.
I still support Freddie as I dislike him less than the others - he's had a really tough month in the house and clearly felt very isolated. I think most of the other hms would have cracked much earlier - I'd have been banging on the door to get out of such a hostile atmosphere after the first 2 weeks.

I think the blokes hormones in there are raging much more than the girls.
yup, am agreeing with you lass and Amy, perhaps i'm being too hard on him. I suppose knowing that most of the hm's dislike him must have a terrible effect on your esteem. Bit disappointed in Siavash tbh, thought he was more on Freddie's wavelength, conversation wise I mean. But blimey, Charlie did look a bit spooked.

Aww bless him, I do wish he wouldnt.Maybe its something to do with having been to boarding school and abandonment issues.
I think freddie is desperate for acceptance, he didnt look entirely comfortable with charlie and just came across as being a bit creepy. It must be really hard for him knowing that people dislike him intenesly.

Charlie did Bit of a confidence slap in the face when he said he felt sick
he also stoically kept his back to him and remained detached from the the cuddling and stoking..quote:Originally posted by Liverpoollass:quote:Originally posted by pussycatj:

It did come across as a bit ropey didnt it
Im sure it wasnt meant that way, and Freddie is just desperate for some contact and affection, but some body language is impossible to miss, no matter what your social skills are, and Charlie was saying 'please dont touch me' quite clearly
They need to turn the cameras off for a day and send in a ton of lube and some Ann Summers gadgets and just let them get on with it...next day, happy house

Trying to give our Freddy the message loud and clear

I felt desperately sorry the poor sod had to ASK for a cuddle and I wanted to kick Marcus up the arse for accusing him of drawing attention to himself for waking up crying!
The way I saw it was that Freddie felt obligated to speak in such a way to Charlie, i.e. "Not in a sexual way...", etc., because he was aware of the cameras. Sort of letting us know he just really wanted a hug and nothing else.
This years HMs are seriously lacking in recognising when someone needs a little comfort. It's human nature to offer words of comfort, or tactile comfort, to someone who needs it whether you like them or not!

It wasn't just the fact he asked for a cuddle we all need one sometimes. It was the stroking and touching i didn't like. What is it with this years HMs? They seem to think it is ok to invade peoples space with touchy feely hands. The first one who touched and felt me would be told in no uncertain terms to "Back the f**k off"

Am I right in thinking that Charlie pretended to act hard done by and sad because Freddie didn't fancy him? There was a conversation at one point, instigated by Charlie in which Freddie was asked which bloke in the house he would/did fancy and he replied Siavash.
Charlie has always nominated Freddie, unbeknownst to him and I thought that acting "sad" about not being number one in Freddie's dream boy list and thus making Freddie feel sorry for him was pout of order and Freddie knows more than anyone what rejection feels like and all this extra touchy feely stuff has occurred since then. Poor Freddie thinks Charlie wants him to like him that way - even if his body language is saying "no not really". Charlie is such a games player.

Totally agree with you!Freddie could do with a boost . Too much inverted snobbery in the house for my liking
Poor old Freddie. It must be getting harder and harder to stay sane in that place. I'm not surprised he woke up crying, it must be exhausting dealing with all of that and the night before had been a bit of a dramatic one as well which never helps anyones emotional well-being. He was a touch creepy, but I'm glad most FMs/viewers are being sympathetic.
It's a shame Marcus mentioned the whole 'attention-seeking' thing. I'm not saying he was necessarily wrong, but Freddie is one of his allies, it wont do Marcus any good to criticise him in front of the others.

I think Marcus was off the mark there and thought he would never have made that conclusion. It has made me think that maybe Marcus doesn't switch off from the whole "game" aspect at all.
It must be very traumatic to know that he is disliked by so many HMs (who cannot even give him a reason for it) and waking with the knowledge that he is facing yet another day of isolation and ridicule would get to anyone especially someone who is sensitive.
Charlie has always been rather two-faced with Freddie and told him he liked him while joining in with the Haemorrhoid Gang with their nastiness, and I do think that Freddie really needed a cuddle as he the type of person who thrives on cuddles and hugs.

And Marcus is so emotionally unintelligent that he thinks Noirin has feelings for him.

I think Freddy might prefer someone a bit thick actually , someone who thought every bit of twaddle he comes out with was fascinating
Freddy's self esteem hangs on him being cleverer than others in the house...someone really intelligent might be devastating for him

Good point DS but someone who has held a book would be an advance on the rest of them.

Age would be no barrier for Freddie but Mills and Boon might be.
Freddie seemed to get on with Angel and I wonder if it is because of her eccentricities and her masculinity. Freddie is one of the most feminine people in the house I think, way more so than Karly and lisa (of course) and seems to be attracted to stronger, edgier types who meet him on his level (like her), but I think a willowy, artistical "Belinda Belinda Belinda" type would be great fun for him.
I think they should send Jon Tickle in ...they would get on like a house on fire

can you imagine they would drive the others mental with their impromptu singing sessions
with jazz hands
Cuddling is fine but if anyone other than my husband then wanted to spoon and stroke me i would be very uncomfortable.quote:Originally posted by Blackpudlian:
