I had not long bought my first VHS recorder (Top loading Panasonic and built to last), 1984 I think and 'Tape 7' (yes alright I did used to number my tapes) was the first series of the Young Ones  

Edit : On a slightly nerdy point I was packing some tapes away a couple of months ago and was surprised at how much heavier a circa 1984 TDK 3 hour cassette was compared to a much more recent one

I still own two video tapes. I threw the rest away years ago (yes...years ago Zaph! ).....but there were two that I couldn't bear to part with.........  Eddie Izzard's Definite Article ...................and Jesus Christ Superstar.

I had a few lurking on a top shelf that I packed away. I have a load boxed up in the loft that have been there for years but until hard disk recorders were available I was still using tapes until about 4 years ago.

I thought the world had flipped upside down for a minute there......I was expecting Ditty to charge in and renounce all things vampire related.

Listened to the Halfords advert and I'm sure it says Tampax. Son says it is supposed to be "tent packs" - doesn't sound like that to me.

and on the slightly meandering topic of video tapes...

I have loads.. but no video to play them on!  Most of them are boxed up, ready to 'go' somewhere...  and then there are my complete collection of Buffy the Vampire Slayer box sets!!

I also have a tape that has an old camcorder tape inside it....  on it is Ickles first birthday party... I really should get that converted to a playable, keepable format at some point!

When I was a kid, my Dad made the mistake of buying a Beta Max video before having to swap rather sharpish to VHS...... the Beta Max was donated to me for my bedroom. I kept one of the tapes with a Blake 7 episode on it for years.

I watched an episode of Blakes 7 recently..   

it wasn't as good as I remembered...  its all a bit Cell Block H goes Sci Fi!
