There's just been a story on the News about a girl who used Boots own hair dye and ended up in a burns unit for 3 days because she had such a bad reaction to it.

She's dyed her hair before but this is the first time using that product, she is now suing Boots...

...she DIDN't follow the instructions and do the 'patch test' before using the product though, do you thinks she should be allowed to sue after NOT following the instructions?

Do you think compensation culture is getting out of hand and it's all too easy to sue these days?

My gut instinct is that she didn't do the patch test so no she shouldn't be able to sue Boots. However, in our compensation culture you know she will and I'll lay dollars to donuts she'll get a hefty payout
You can bet on it....it just annoys me that people are so quick to try and sue these days, infact, I'm sure some folks want things to go wrong so they can sue! lol!

I have developed an intolerance to shellfish over the last 6 months, do you think i could sue the fishing industry???

We've caught this compensation mania from America, I'm afraid. I once read a news story about a woman over there who sued a microwave company because she'd tried to dry her poodle in it - and cooked it.

All those no-win-no-fee adverts drive me nuts too, especially the ones with the bloke who used to be in The Bill.

"If you've had an accident and it absolutely wasn't your fault..." Errrm by definition, if it was an accident, it's nobody's fault!

It's awful I know, but has anyone had their hair dyed in a salon where the salon does an actual patch test?  I know I haven't.

Talking of bad dye jobs, I was in the metro centre today and there was a young girl, late teens early twenties, and her hair was dyed GREY!   It was flipping grey.  Personally I think she had tried to go for the platinum blonde look and had over used the purple shampoo that helps remove and brassy tones.  But it was seriously GREY!
