Mum or Dad has "never been there for me". They want to know why but they say they wish to be re-united and have a proper parent child relationship.
But when faced with each they show that this is not the case.
Many of the children do not wish to have a good relationship - they actually wish to humiliate their parent, seek revenge and rub their noses in it in front of a tv audience. They hate the parent and want to humiliate them.

Well of course you can "it's the Jeremy Kyle show" as you are so fond of reminding us.
But when he says "Can I say something?" I would dearly love a guest to reply "I'd rather you didn't" or even simply "No."
