Gutted for Freddie

Every HL show we get to watch Team Rat ridicule,mock and basically take the pi** out of Freddie.They ask him questions but smirk at his reply,the only time Charlie will
aknowledge him is when Charlie wants to be the joker,the entertainer ,with Freddie being the butt of the joke.
I absolutely applaud Freddie for having the tenacity to stand up to the pack.

I`m holding out hope that Charlie does a turn around regarding Freddie - I think he felt awful after hurting Angel and I get the feeling he`s not as nasty as Kris and Lisa. Its nearly always Kris and Lisa that put Charlie up to things.

You dont seem to be watching the same programme as me

He's tried talking to them one to one and they get on fine then but when they get together the just giggle like kid's. He's softly spoken, he doesn't bawl at them so they take that as patronising

Patronising? I don't see that. Maybe you're mistaking the accent/tone??

I see them far more patronising towards him tbh.

And I think Freddie is far more astute about why he keeps getting nominated. Let's hope the others show a similar level of astuteness when it comes to next week nominations. **sigh** I really doubt it though...not sure the brain cell will stretch that far.

Sophie gets 2 reactions every time she opens her mouth; they either laugh at her - or cringe at her. This includes Freddie... i saw the smirk on his chops when he first heard Sophie sing during rehearsals for the shopping task!

Exactly ,Lisa would sooner turn sraight than aknowledge Freddie,she hates Freddie for what she thinks he stands for .

I'm really liking that the Fredster is standing for himself more, the sly digs must hurt but he is smarter than them. He is happy with who he is, they are insecure about themselves and get their kicks by getting into a bitch group and projecting faults from other people they perceieve to be weak to make them feel better about themselves.

Freddie has class, manners and dignity which none of those nasty clique have, he's polite and a nice person, but they look down on his class which is just pure snobbery. He's realised there is no point in trying to get on with them as all they do is be nasty and bitch behind his back, so why bother and is more confident to confront them, all they do is shout while he keeps calm making them look stupid he's so clever and intelligent.

Kris thinks that the only reason he has stayed is because the people he has been up against are contraversial, err no, he won because people like him. Not sure if that will ever sink in, lets hope he is up a non entity like Kris and boots them out too.

My only gripe is that Team Clinique will nominate all the interesting housemates and we'll be faced with choosing between them (not that I waste my money voting!). I was ticked at having the choice this week between Angel and Freddie.

I agree. They don't know the meaning of patronising if they think Freddie is being that

You couldn't get a more diplomatic person in there. What do they want? They respect people "being themselves" and yet Freddie is and all they can do is mock and scorn him. They don't like people yelling yet they do that all the time when they lose their tempers, Freddie doesn't.
They are just a bunch of hypocrites who don't know their arses from their faces. Freddie just cannot communicate with people who willfully misconstrue everything he says just because they have taken an instant and irrational dislike to him. It really is like flogging a dead horse.

Brilliant post darloboy07! My own thoughts are along similar lines i.e. they are scapegoating Freddie. A very common group dynamic, especially when there are profound insecurities at play. By isolating Freddie and picking on him they take the heat off themselves and gain a sense of security by identifying with the in crowd, so to speak.
