Justa, I want to say something reassuring to you, without sounding trite.
Your cancer has been caught at an early stage and you have had appropriate treatment, so that's a positive thing. I know it will seem like an eternity until you get the all-clear in December - but the relief you will feel when that happens will be worth the wait.
I've had some experience of waiting for biopsy results, so if you ever want to chat, you can PM me.

justafriend, it is good of you to share this with us. I'm sure I speak for everyone here in wishing you well and will give you what support we can give.

I hope you can share this with those closest to you rather than keeping it a secret and trying to pretend that everything is OK because that will put too much extra stress on you. But at least CIN1 is classified as the mild form and has been caught at an early stage. This is something I have found on the web for this category, and hopefully this will help to give you a bit of reassurance:

In most of these women, the cells will go back to normal by themselves. So the women will usually have repeat tests every 6 months until they do. They will only go on to have treatment if the cells don't go back to normal.

You are a dark horse Yogi. Never thought you might have problems in your life bearing in mind what a wonderful, cheerful person you are in our Ben's Buddies thread.
No dark secrets Joyron, I have been very lucky, so far.
In the past ten years, I've had four biopsies done on my colon (because of the Crohn's) and two on my cervix.
Each time, I have been incredibly fortunate and the results have been negative. The wait for the results can seem endless though. Thank you for your concern.

Hi thanks to all xxxx  I just sort of blurted that out because i was so relieved. But my girl isnt out of the woods yet, there are still problems, but initial tests looking good. I am aware that lots of women are going through this and my  blessings to Yogi, justa and all going thru this. Anyone else just thinking about a smear test...GO DO IT , and now !   My daughter is 26, has only had 2 sexual partners , so as some would like to think, it is not a sexual transmitted disease . I had a look around, and some things were said about Jade Goody which were, in my mind horrific.I am only mentioning Jade because when my daughter was in the hospital she said oh my God i am going to die like Jade. It is something that puts absolute fear in your head. Anyway, just have to build her up now, she has lost a lot of weight with worry . Sorry to go on, my head still up my bum

My 23 year old niece was told a few months ago that she was no longer required to attend the colposcopy clinic any longer. She went for her first smear test aged 21.The result came back as slight abnormality.Off she went to the hospital for a more detailed smear/camera test.It was ok but she had to come back 3 months later for another smear etc NO treatment was needed but they still made her get tested every three months.
She was tested about four times.Alas one test failed so she had a repeat.Poor girl.

You get tested at 21 up here in Scotland.I think it's 25 in England/Wales?  Now it doesn't bear thinking about that she might not have been  tested for another two years,if in England, that's four years for any abnormality to get a hold.

Hopefully this new vaccine will save lives, she missed it by a few years .
