Looks like we are in for some lovely scenery.
Have you seen any of the previous series, EC?
And yes, you're correct in thinking that the scenery is lovely at times.
They should make it all navigable if possible.

Bits, mainly due to your recommendation whilst we (you me and Baz) watched that BBC Four programme of a journey down a canal with only the soundtrack provided by the journey.
Not bad from the top of your head Tim.
i'd enjoy it better if the 'c' fell off
am i allowed to say that?

That was a great film by the Beeb
Today More 4 played a few repeats of earlier P&T shows...I could watch them over and over again. The Falkirk Lock is beautiful, and they've also been down the Canal du Midi (just like Rick Stein but without so much grub).

Of course..! As long as you don't mind being accused of talking out of your arse

It makes me want to do some travel via canal. You see things from a completely different perspective. I would want to do it with someone or some friends.
On a slightly different topic, my friends are doing a New Years cruise (5 days). I have been invited but declined as the cost is a lot and I want to keep the money for my mortgage overpayment - my present to myself is to pay it off by July next year.
That white house looked bright and airy.
Saucy!

Where are they off to? Shame to miss the chance of a break, but if you're happy then fair enough You could always do a canal holiday in late summer/early autumn once you've passed the July deadline.
You're right about seeing things differently; we (Mr C & me) like messing about on boats on our holibobs.
He's so sweet in explaining Pru's situation. You can see it upsets him but he's always so stoic and humorous about it all.

Would have been nice to go but once I am mortgage free then I have no debt at all and travel will be more doable more often.
I believe it is up around Zeebrugge and Hamburg.

Awful thing to have happen to her. Probably a good way to handle it.

He still gets grumpy with her (and himself!). I like that.
Aww, she's gone back 'home'. This is quite touching....
Little red haired girl quite sweet.

Sorry, I'll try and be more chirpy from now on...

I posed that question at the beginning of the programme and now got it answered.
Some shots look like the Florida everglades.
It's a shame water resistance forced them to turn on the engine so soon.

P&T do a lot of work too - they've been hands on along the Kennet & Avon.
Gliding along....must be good for the soul

You don't get to make a programme such as this if you are not well versed in the ways of the canal. The seem to be enthusiasts.

It's a much more fractured journey than previous ones. Hopefully they'll be around to see that part of the waterway fully restored.
Arundel Castle, beautiful. It's only 50 mins from where I live
