The wooden roof underneath the cladding may dampen the sound of rain.
As in any house, the windows need to fit perfectly, no new age technology there then...........

I noted that they have under floor heating, so hopefully it will be warm to the bare foot.

I'm more impressed than I thought I would be. The views really add to the overall design. But to get land for ÂĢ80K, never do that in most of England.
