The little animated cartoon faces and icons.
Known as smilies, or smileys, and here on GaGaJoyJoy as Graemlins.
I used to hate them and did not use them at all.
But in recent weeks I find myself using them.
I loathe the rolling-eyes thingy. (It always seems a bit insulting to me.)
I wish there was one to represent that lovely mood of bliss - when all is well with the world.
Not hysterical. Not laughing my socks off. Not angelic.
But just pleasingly content with the world and everyone in it.
For those rare occasions when one feels "life is not so bad after all-I am blissfully content."

I find it really frustrating on FB because they don't have them on there. Sometimes only a *ninja* will do.

I also find it frustrating there's no smiley's, they help to get a point across. Also there's no Edit feature, darned annoying when I've done a typo

Ahhh, that cloud number 9 smiley is lovely.

Brisket, I think the ninja's are generally supposed to be funny so I'd say they're mostly used as a good thing.

There is an edit function YR... hover you mouse over the bottom right-hand corner of the post you want to edit. Then click on the icon on the last one on the right. It submits your post for correction... then submit again!

Hahaha! edit to show I posted that wrong... I wrote left-hand instead of right!

Addendum. The edit still doesn't work correctly when you submit. You get the cogs. Give it a second or two to cog, close the box (very top right-hand of the reply box marked 'x'. Then refresh your page and voila!

Give it a try... I know it's cumbersome at the moment but it does work.

It was something to do with a groupee called Graham who developed many of them originally I think...

You're mostly right Xochi, The chap's name (surname) was Graeme and he devoloped the concept way before Groupee

Well, I pressed refresh after 4 seconds but it was another 20 seconds before it all went off the screen then another minute before the refreshed page came up, so that wasn't much help. (Mr Fluffy Thing's downloading something, so everything's going slow.)
