Gordon Brown is a dogmatic fool.

he determinedly FAILED to give us a manifesto promise of a referendum on Europe and he is STILL refusing to go to the country in a General Election, because he "loves" being PM.

We won't have a GE until we absolutely have to (by next June) because of his stupiodly stubborn attitude.

He will lose, of course whenever the GE is and he knows it, a big reason why he's clinging on.

You see this is the whole point.
People keep bringing up the red herring of Europe.
Europe doesn't matter.
If people were bothered then I wouldn't have had to wake up the polling officers yesterday so I could vote.
The simple fact is that he continued with the Thatcherite experiment and it exploded in his face just like Karlo said it would.
As the noted philosopher/womanising hero Bill Clinton said, "It's the economy stupid!"

Yes he jumped ship at the right time... An American economist predicted the global meltdown as early as 2006 but he was laughed off....

I can't concede your argument, not after 10 years of Labour "rule". Maggie Thatcher resigned years ago and is nowe an irrelevance in politics. Anyone blaming her for our woes NOW is just barking up the wrong tree. Brown as Chancellor sold most of our gold reserves ate $275 an ounce and gold is now worth over $900 an ounce.

Yes it is the economy and Brown has been the stupid one. We're up to our eyes in debt and taxes, all engendered by Brown to fund his crass public spending. Outreach Worker, anyone?

If it smells of Thatcherite laissez faire market economy then it is. If you can explain any serious deviation I'm with you.

I like GB. I just want him to get on with the job in hand. We had an election, labour won, lets just let them get on with it until its time for the next election. I think that is a disgrace that his colleagues have been stabbing in him the back like this. They could have waited for the resuffle and made their way out without this drama. Just plain nasty.

As I said yesterday the people of Salford don't want Backstabbing Blears back, she can ride of into the sunset on the bike that we no doubt paid for.

It would be interesting to see how Andrew Marr would respond to that. Not so long ago, he said that 'like it or not, we are all Maggie's children now.'

Exactly! She has her place in history as someone who made a huge difference. malhereusement

2006!!! I was living in Ireland in 2004 and was on a business study course and the LECTURER told us, "make ya money NOW cause the shit will be hitting the fan in the next 3-4 years"...
lots of people saw it coming, they ALL just buried their heads in the sand, but its ALL a result of the "credit card" society brought about by Thatcher n her lot in the 80s, Nod
